When Adelaide asked “what do you want” i bet Red hesitated because she was thinking _“Really?_ After all this time, you have _no idea at all?”_
Yeah. If the fake Adelaide forgot she was a Tethered, it makes me wonder if the real Adelaide forgot she was the real one. If she did remember, you would’ve thought she would’ve revealed that in her story to Gabe, Jason, and Zora. She could’ve said how “The girl lived happily… until the shadow switched places with her and robbed her happiness and left her to suffer.” And when Adelaide asked “What do you want?” Red could’ve said “I want my life back. The life you stole from me. The life I was supposed to have.”
But of course, they had to throw a twist ending that so good that Shyamalan would love.😂
So what you’re saying that (since I haven’t watched the movie) this whole time red was with the good family this whole time, and Adelaide was with the evil family this whole time. And none of the family knew about this???

Louisiana Boy the Gabe zora and Jason on the surface are half tethered half human. Same goes for them on the bottom. There is no original real Gabe zora and jason

I just saw that this time around. I think it was supposed to be the double of the man walking forwards. Opposites. The whole scene is supposed to be creepy and unsettling and this works perfectly.

@@TheProtagonist2020 Red is the real Adelaide because in the hall of mirrors, fake Adelaide strangled the real Adelaide giving her a raspy voice and dragged her down into the tunnels and hand cuffed her to a bed so the fake could go to the surface and take her place, so the Adelaide that went home with her parents, was the best fake girl all along, and then red (the real Adelaide) came back to the fake Adelaide get revenge on her.
Imagine how Red's voice became after this movie-

Really most of the Tethers have names, but none of theirs were mentioned. Unless you count Red telling us the Tethers known as Pluto, Umbrae, and Abraham
In a way, it makes sense. Why would the real Adelaide call herself "Red"?
And while the Tethered have names (check the credits, the red names are the Tethered names) the clones can't talk, so they can't say what their names are.

Because Red was strangled by the teathered doppelganger when she went into the Hall of Mirrors and found the doppelganger so the real Adelaide died and Red lived.

Okay so Adelaide is actually a Tethered. Red is the real Adelaide.
When the real Adelaide was a child, she went into the hall of mirrors and her Tethered was there waiting for her. She was strangled, then brought to the underground and left there, handcuffed to a bed. The Tethered forced her to switch lives.

Ish Bangura she’s not exactly evil she just wanted revenge because the tethered Adelaide stole her life
Because she was the one that wanted to murder the clone. Just because she's the original doesn't make her the "real" Adelaide. She wasn't the one that grew up on the surface got married and raised a family with two kids. Red wanted to take that away and get revenge. She had a good reason but the clone was the one everyone knew and loved.
