My key fob got wet accidentally after swimming for half an hour. Later on I realized it. Surprisingly it worked and could start the car. Found this posting and opened it and not a drip of water to be found.

Apparently the Chrysler fob really eats up the battery. Our fobs (both) became unresponsive after less than 3 years (Our Odyssey didn't need a new battery for at least 10 years.) But it's easy to replace, and the 2032's can be had cheaply -- a pack of 8 at Costco was less than $10.
The procedure is in the manual and it reminds you that the second step -- prying off the cover should be done GENTLY. After that it's easy.

When you replaced the battery in the key fob, did the fob work correctly after? Mine is not working with a brand new battery
