You just know Trevor is a good bloke, he gives off good energy and is enthusiastic about building and helping Ryan with his project. Mad respect trev 👍
Im stoked to see how this comes out. It's looking good, I am worried about the tipping factor though. You mentioned it, and it does look like it could tip over while taking turns once you add the interior
There appeared to be a nice void under the camper floor that could house a water tank, which should help level it out. He also mentioned the suspension could be adjusted a little. Smart build choices from here should mitigate the issue.
I never knew i needed this kind of video. But honestly it was so much fun watching and im so impressed with the attention to detail and even the idea of using a kei truck. To top it all of the Video quality is great.
What a cool little camper so far ! Can not wait to see the build out on the interior . Trevor has got some skill and attention to detail ,wow ! Lucky to have had him !
You and Trevor killed this!! I’ve been watching you for a little over a year now and this is definitely my favorite series you’ve done yet, Trevor is so talented and definitely mastered his craft of welding.
As a sign maker I am very familiar with dibond/vhb tape/primer 94. While these work well for holding signs together, I wouldn't trust them as part of a moving vehicle,. You may want to add some rivets to properly secure those panels to the frame.
I'd put some water- and fireproof polyurethane insulation foam inside and cap it with either thin plywood or cellular polycarbonate sheet. I'd be very rigid as well as lightweight, like 60 pounds fo the whole cabin for the extra insulation, waterproofing and rigidit. Inside wallpapers (or wood/plastics) might weigh more and support less.
Duelly the rear tires if you are worried about stability. That is what I did. The difference was like night and day when it came to the sway. I also built a hydrogen generator from mason jars It about tripled fuel milage. About to build one out of a 5 gallon fish tank, Looking to run my truck on hydrogen only made from water and or antifreeze in winter. Just a timing change.
Nice build! Hope your compensating Trevor well - dude not only has a massive set of skills but also the attention to detail you need when building something solid that will last for a long time.
Oh my goodness 😳. I've not rven seen the half of this and I need to go to bed now. I'll see the rest later, but I'm chocked how much work it is. All those elelectric wires and, well almost everything, request much more than I've ever thought. I'll tip my hat for all the effort you and your amazing helpers are doing 🫡. Can't wait to see the result of this amazing build. I love your love for building this mini truck camper Ryan. But I'm only sorry that I have to split this video in two. Way to go Ryan, you're amazing. Love and hugs to you and your Co workers 🤗❤❤
I love how you said "we" are going to do ____ only to cut to Trever doing everything 😂😂😂 j/k love you Ryan I've been a long time subby and I'm so proud of all you have accomplished. Can't wait for the adventures to come in the new whip!
What a team, way to go !! I look forward to watching this channel every week, keep being genuine, and surrounding yourself with great people. Love the dog , such a good boy.
I love watching people do such detailed work, if i would do something like this it would just fall apart and would be an abstract art installation 😅😅 so beautiful Ryan!
You should build an accordion style plywood bedframe to go on top of your metal frame, kind of like a gymnastics floor mat. That way it can fold easily for storage.
I just started watching your channel I think you will be much happier in the van you had than that little small camper.Doesn’t look feasible at all.Good luck in bad weather with that Chinese vehicle.I bet it doesn’t make it across the country.
I have no idea what you're explaining half the time, and I don't get why you want to do this, but I'm hooked and can't wait to see the finished product. Trevor was amazing! Can't wait for the next video!
I would add a white light bar up top in the front or fog lights because the factory headlights will not be enough in a snow storm or rain storm at night. And Mount a stick on light over your back door. I'm aware you're just starting but safety before pleasure. And get some beefier tires with good tread or you won't make it up your first hill in the ❄️. 👊
Ryan! This was so awesome to watch and see your vision come to fruition! Trevor's got some talent and skills for sure. Please, please put a light at the back door to illuminate that area so to see or detour any stranger danger. I'd have a little slide window in back to stick a weapon through to eliminate a threat as well lol. 🤫
I've been living in a 1988 7.3 diesel Ford E-350 Supervan (extended or "supervans" are stretched 22" from standard length Ford vans) that was then converted into a Taylor Made type 2 ambulance with a 24" fiberglass high top for 8 yrs now with two very big dogs.... and let me tell you, as long as the roof is set to a comfortable height, you should be perfectly happy living in this smaller space by yourself. I think my living space is comparable to what you have now, and its been working great for me and my two dogs. If I was alone, I would be fine in this smaller size of camper!
For someone who can barely hit a nail on its head, you two really made every thing look so simple and easy and made me want to build something....ha!!! Thanks for sharing your build and hopefully the rest will be just as easy although I am sure it wasn't all that easy! Take care, stay safe!
I've been getting kinda burned out on watching any kind of build videos, but then I came across Part One of this video. This is something I've been wanting to do for a few years but never seem to get around to it. The build so far is excellent and your editing, pacing and video angles are great. Just the right pace
Ryan, this build series has given me the most excitement out of any other channel I subscribe to. Keep up the great work and don’t stop pushing out the content!!
Guys are doing an awesome job I would put a led outside light above or beside the door for night camping like a white one just a suggestion so you can see at night . Hope your putting a backup camera on it also.
Amazing. Custom-made Japanese truck. Now you can take a friend or two on a trip, and drive both the vehicles. Nobody would have to sleep on the floor. And also the license plate is not blurred closer to the end of the video, just letting you know
Looks amazing. Is there no ending to Trevor's talents. That man can do anything. You're Awesome as well of course, 😆 🤣 😂. But I'm a little bummed I was hoping to see the inside finished as well. Yall forgot the floor oopsies lol. I really want to see this mini truck complete, and you and your girlfriend go camping. The bed looked big enough for both of you. Keep adventuring God Bless you
What a quick welder he is! wish i could weld that fast & not blow holes in the tube. i would keep track of weight of each rear component, eg steel frame, frame coverings, cupboards & so on, to keep track of all up weight so you know where economies in weight can be made. you want to minimise weight & air resistance. thinking about the bed. why not sleep crosswise as a single bed (assuming sufficient width). i’m 5’ 7”. with you being 6 foot, it may not work. very interesting project & you will be able to compare with the Sprinter in different aspects. you have all wheel drive unlike the sprinter. and a diesel i presume.
You also need another engine access door in the floor of the camper also you want a good strong swat bar on the front end and maybe try to source some heavy duty Custom leaf springs on the back axle
You just know Trevor is a good bloke, he gives off good energy and is enthusiastic about building and helping Ryan with his project. Mad respect trev 👍
Trevor attentive to details, knows his shit and a soldier for working through the flu. I hope this video brings you massive business! You deserve it!
🤣🤣no
Trevor is the best, if you need anything cool built (has to be cool) please reach out to him. His info is in the description!
Where is part 3 😢
@@Ryantwomeyyit's been two months man, where's part 3?
I think you should get wider offset wheels that poke a little farther out to have a wider track for turns
Same thought!! upgrade the front as well. All-terrain or all-weather tires :)
Literally got in here to say the same thing. Been seeing they kei trucks with wide tires and it would be a great idea for this application.
He said he was getting new wheels, so maybe that's what he's doing.
He is doing it and even said that in the video or am I wrong?
Same thought offset wheels!!!
Where's part 3 already
Trevor is the man. Blue collar skills at their finest. These are the skills that should be valorized.
Trevor is the dude.. the key figure in this whole project. Kudos out to Trevor!
Im stoked to see how this comes out. It's looking good, I am worried about the tipping factor though. You mentioned it, and it does look like it could tip over while taking turns once you add the interior
That motor will blow before anything it needs work done
There appeared to be a nice void under the camper floor that could house a water tank, which should help level it out. He also mentioned the suspension could be adjusted a little. Smart build choices from here should mitigate the issue.
These cars are driven in Ghana and they are mostly used for carrying heavy loads so it will defo work and won’t tip over just trust them process😎
I never knew i needed this kind of video. But honestly it was so much fun watching and im so impressed with the attention to detail and even the idea of using a kei truck.
To top it all of the Video quality is great.
Crazy to see your vision coming to life, bro. I am excited to see how this turns out!
Wow anything for a dumb comment
What a cool little camper so far ! Can not wait to see the build out on the interior . Trevor has got some skill and attention to detail ,wow ! Lucky to have had him !
You and Trevor killed this!! I’ve been watching you for a little over a year now and this is definitely my favorite series you’ve done yet, Trevor is so talented and definitely mastered his craft of welding.
Eagerly waiting for the next part
I don't know how Trevor was able to do all that work with the flu. Bless him. Everything is looking good.
We also have a Kei truck, but ours is a Suzuki Carry 1994. It is strong on steep roads/hills even with a heavy load. Watching from Philippines ❤️
I've been a mechanic for 16 years so far and I can say for sure, Trevor is a top quality fitter 🔥
Trevor is a genius !
As a sign maker I am very familiar with dibond/vhb tape/primer 94. While these work well for holding signs together, I wouldn't trust them as part of a moving vehicle,. You may want to add some rivets to properly secure those panels to the frame.
Signs have to be able to blow in the wind . These trucks max out at like 55mph. He won't be taking this thing on long travels I'm pretty dang sure
This was fantastic. Also liked how the doggie had his bed to chill while watching you guys work. :)
Can't wait for part 3 to see the interior build 😊
I give you the utmost credit !!!
You know exactly what you are doing and can express it very well!!
TFS!! ❤
Jschalatt
I love the brotherhood that developed throughout this series, a wholesome moment to witness
Duelly the rear tires if you are worried about stability. That is what I did. The difference was like night and day when it came to the sway. I also built a hydrogen generator from mason jars It about tripled fuel milage. This is by far the wildest/craziest camper build I have ever witnessed. Love it!!
Love the amount of progress for this video, cant wait for what's to come next
Man, you can be really happy to have a buddy like trevor. Not just a pro, but also eager to help you out. A rare combination these days.
Nice build! Hope your compensating Trevor well - dude not only has a massive set of skills but also the attention to detail you need when building something solid that will last for a long time.
Need a tag light. The hack mounts could have been offset inwards to hide them nearly onder the camper.
you also should upgrade your leaf springs in the rear not just the shocks
trevor needs to make his own kei truck camper too! he is definitely the mvp of this build haha dual camping vids hopefully! love the build
Sad there's no part 3
Dear Ryan~
Lived in Japan a couple years and fell in love with these little trucks…like Tonka Trucks.
Be careful on the turns- well done Ryan!
Such a fun, crazy build. I've only seen the last 3 videos and I have the question - Why do you need 2 camper vehicles?
The guy doing all the work is an absolute unit. He made this video interesting!!!
Trevor is a real craftsman with multiple skills, and looks to do an excellent job,i think loads of work will come his way after this build.
Airbag suspension and a turbo on the little beast they make turbos for those little engines
Outstanding, you are lucky to have Trevor who is a master fab and layout man.
Trevor is a metal artist!!
Can’t wait to see the new rig on new adventures!
So interesting watching this build!! Can;t wait to see the interior build! Good luck! And, dude, wash that Yosemite hat!🤣
Great series this mate l. Keep em coming
That animation at the beginning was class!
Trevor is killing it. Great job, Trevor!
Your cheesy smile after driving that thing around the lot makes it all worth it. Enjoying the process!
Turned out really good. He's a good mechanic.
Offset the tires, upgrade the tires to bigger ones and add tow mirrors. Boom
I love watching people do such detailed work, if i would do something like this it would just fall apart and would be an abstract art installation 😅😅 so beautiful Ryan!
Trevor👑you're Legend for helping Ryan build his tiny van camper. ✨👍
Awesome build! Trevor and Louie did a great job.
Mad skills Trevor. Jack of all trades. Being a visionary is one thing but putting it together is another.
I have no idea what you're explaining half the time, and I don't get why you want to do this, but I'm hooked and can't wait to see the finished product. Trevor was amazing! Can't wait for the next video!

It looks great! So fun watching you build this. Trevor really knows his stuff! Awesome!
That thing is cool. I dint know how you would pull it off but it look like the truck came stock that way. I love it so far.
I love how Trevor plays with his dog on his down time when Ryan is explaining to us all why, when and what is going on with the build.
🖤🐕🦺
Louie was the brains behind the operation
These kei trucks definitely are so much fun n' let the imagination run wild with how compact they are. I'd love to get my hands on one.
Trevor is a genius!!! Brilliant!! Extremely talented.
Yo bud! This has been the happiest we’ve seen you in a long time… might be a future for you in fabbing trucks/rvs Ryan!
Ryan kudos to you for seeing your vision come to fruition! This is so fun!! Can't wait to see the final reveal.
Great job Ryan ❤️✨ your buddy is so talented super and his little dog is a dote 🐕 omg it's so cute

Just want to say you are my favorite vanlife youtuber. keep up the good work Ryan you are an inspiration my friend.
Resistors on your indicators wires will make the lights flash normally not quickly 😬 can’t wait to see finished product!
Ryan, this build series has given me the most excitement out of any other channel I subscribe to. Keep up the great work and don’t stop pushing out the content!!
Trevor has got some serious skills. He is a very intelligent and skilled man to be able to build things like this.
That Trevor is one smart dude! Your pretty smart too Ryan😂
Great job Trevor!!
Guys are doing an awesome job I would put a led outside light above or beside the door for night camping like a white one just a suggestion so you can see at night . Hope your putting a backup camera on it also.
You should start a truck building company, your creativity is surreal.
Amazing. Custom-made Japanese truck. Now you can take a friend or two on a trip, and drive both the vehicles. Nobody would have to sleep on the floor. And also the license plate is not blurred closer to the end of the video, just letting you know
That's so much cooler than I envisioned, good job.

I really want to see this mini truck complete, and you and your girlfriend go camping. The bed looked big enough for both of you.
Keep adventuring God Bless you
I’m invested now into seeing this out with you good job
Better be paying homie good. He’s treating it as if it’s his own
ong bro is the dream mechanic for almost all of us
Brilliant video and brilliant van. Well done

Love watching this bad boy come together!
Loving this mini camper build
In Japan you can get prebuilt campers that slide into a mini truck. They ran about 6-7k last time I checked. Pretty neat.
Can't wait till it's all done and you start your adventures in it!
RYAN !!! I’m so proud of you ! You are amazing at reaching your goals ! God Bless you ❤
Very nice build ! All you need is an led bar on the front and some led headlight bulbs for them dark roads.
Wow! The neatest build I've ever watched.
when is the interior buildout coming?!
Super and exquisite build... First time ever that I watch a building video fully.. Great job man thanx for the lovely content
Looking Pretty Sweet Ryan . Cant wait to C the inside build . Good luck
You also need another engine access door in the floor of the camper also you want a good strong swat bar on the front end and maybe try to source some heavy duty Custom leaf springs on the back axle
This is awesome!! The before and after is wild!
That guy is a champ because there is zero way I’m leaving my house when I have the flu. Let alone to work on a non stop project. W content Ryan.
Great video, using some cutting edge materials. Very interesting.
I like the beats ryan be playing on his episodes lol
Favorite time of the week when you post. Always a adventure of what you're going to do! Cant wait to see what the mini truck brings in the future!
