Heavenly Creatures Is Such A Unique And Beautiful Masterpiece. ❤
It touches me a lot that she still choice Heavenly Creatures as her favourite... Such an amazing, mesmerizing, unique movie, a true masterpiece !!
I love that she even remembers it
Kate Winslet is such an incredible woman: yes, she's a good actress; but she is also so articulate and elaborate as well as really capable and intelligent.
1. Juliet Hulme in HEAVENLY CREATURES
2. Clementine Kruczynski in ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND
3. Hanna Schmitz in THE READER
4. April Wheeler in REVOLUTIONARY ROAD
5. Joanna Hoffman in STEVE JOBS
Heavenly Creatures is such a master piece! I was shook when I find out that was her first role ever, her performance was outstanding!
I don't like many actresses but I really do love Kate. She seems very approachable
My favorites performances of hers (I've watched ALL her movies):
-Clementine (Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind)
-Hanna Schmitz (The Reader)
-April Wheeler (Revolutionary Road)
-Rose (Titanic)
-Mare (Mare of Easttown)
Other of her roles that I also liked (The Holiday, Finding Neverland, Jude, The Dressmaker)
KATE WINSLET IS BEST ACTRESS OF THE WHOLE WORLD!!! Y LOVE YOUUU
Ok!
Says the ugly geek
You may love her but there's lots of other good ones too,
These are (no joke) my top 5 picks for her too. Clementine was fabulous
I thought Kate would leave that movie out but I was staggeringly thrilled that it was the first movie she mentioned.... Heavenly Creatures. Oh yeah!!!
Her performance in David Gale was so good she inspired me to pursue journalism
Loved her in Quills and The Life of David Gale. But really anything she is in great :)
My favorites performances of hers (I've watched ALL her things, and she's fucking spectacular):
-Clementine (Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind)
-Hanna Schmitz (The Reader)
-Rose (Titanic)
-Myrtle/Tilly (The Dressmaker)
-Juliet (Heavenly Creatures) Other of her roles that I also liked (Steve Jobs, Revolutionary Road, The Holidat, (which was my 6th, btw), Mare of Easttown )
She is SO AWESOME, in every role she does, even if her character is questionable (Hana Schmitz, who dates a 15 year old comes to mind here) and you lose yourself in her movies/roles. Clementine is just perfect (I don't mean as a person, everyone is flawed, but she was done perfectly, and Kate's accent was awesome). Love her hair so much. No further comment. Hana is so questionable, and, you know, did some stuff that would be illegal now, but somehow, Kate makes you forget that, just a bit. Done so well. Definitely deserved her Oscar. I love that she doesn't pick Titanic, but it's my 3rd, because she was so great in that movie, and it's so iconic, and it helps to look back and know what she was going through around that time (Body Issues), and it makes you appreciate it more. I'm Australian, so I'm impartial to Tilly, but Tilly was FABULOUS, she was so sure of herself, she had revenge in the best way, and she kept living after Teddy died, which is what he would have wanted for her (Also, her accent is perfect, you wouldn't know it was an accent, if you didn't know). Juliet is just awesome. Horrifying, but awesome. Also, The holiday is a classic, and she was, by far, THE BEST, actor/character in that whole movie, she had so much depth, and emotion (the heartbreak on her face when she finds out Jasper is engaged always makes me cry) Basically, she's fantastic, and I CANNOT wait to see Lee, considering it was her passion project, took nine years to film, and she paid the cast and crews salary... everyone on the movies salary for a month... while she wasn't getting paid. Love ya, Kate!
I LOVE that she doesn't pick "Titanic", even though I like the movie.
I have only seen some bits of the film, well I definitely saw the bit where at first she was just a little bit shy to dance with Jack but even though I've only seen parts of the film I was a bit surprised that she chose not to include Titanic on her most favorite roles, but fair enough. I mean she's most likely happy with her work in Titanic, but I think it's fair enough for her to admit it is not really among her most favorite bits of film work.
@@Lotr2987 you should really watch Titanic from start to finish man it's really quite an emotional experience lol the cinematography the music the acting, everything
@@rickym1883 When I get time to do so I might give it a shot, but I am not able to do it right now, but I have seen some bits of it including the ship sinking stuff, I am able to say it's a pretty decent film, but it's not quite my most favourite film though, The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings are my most favourite films ever
@@rickym1883 it's the best thing on earth, nothing comes close to Titanic
I Love Kate Winslet
Although Titanic is an amazing film, I can understand why she wouldn't want to pick Titanic just considering her current position as an actress...
Freddy Lowe I agree. Also, I understand she thought she was going to drowned under the cold water on set . wow. I cld imagine working in cold water wld be hard work
Freddy Lowe i don't get it😢 someone explain it to me plsss
Karl Heidi

She explained it in this clip, and I actually respect her more for actually going through and thinking about which roles were her favorites, not just playing up to what the audience expects.
Titanic it's overrated
@@fumadorempedernido-l9z
Ooh...no, sir. Titanic hit the entire world like a thunderbolt shot from Zeus' own quiver. It was a phenomenon, and its influence still resounds to this day.
THE READER was my favorite.
Steve Jobs is a phenomenal film .... Kate was briiliant. Michael Fassbender was brilliant. The entire cast and crew were brilliant .....
So it’s not that she doesn’t like her role, she just knows that we already know it’s so good
oh god she so beautiful
Love u so much Kate,u are so lovely and still beautiful !
I will do anything for kate winslet
I love Kate 😍😍😍
love her ❤
Beautiful kate .
Love her choices ... BUT I would add Marianne in the movie Sense and Sensibility as well.
Pooriya Yoosefi K. Oh my God YES, she's great in that 😊😊
Me too!
The only Kate winslet movies I've watched are revolutionary road sense and sensibility and Titanic
Molly Redsull you should watch "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" and "Heavenly Creatures"
My favourite roles of Kate are
1) April Wheeler in REVOLUTIONARY ROAD (2008)
2) Rose DeWitt Bukater in TITANIC (1997)
3) Sylvia Llewelyn Davies in FINDING NEVERLAND (2004)
4)Marianne Dashwood in SENSE AND SENSIBILITY (1996)
5) Hanna Schmitz in THE READER (2008)
Movies you must watch that stars Kate.
Titanic (obviously)
Revolutionary road
The dressmaker
The reader
Labor Day
Little children
The holiday
Anastasia Styles thats definitely true.
Revolutionary Road is dreadful - an awful couple shout at each other incessantly.
The Holiday is bland, unfunny, unbelieveable rubbish.
Others to add that Kate didn't mention here are Mildred Pierce, A Little Chaos, Jude, Finding Neverland, and Carnage.
Heavenly creatures too
And Heavenly Creatures too.
I Have to watch all her movies to pick my favs of hers haha
I see your many movies in there sense and sensibility and little chaos is decent and eternal sunshine of spotless mind is very nucence like I saw three times even I doesn't know what Kate say
My favorite performance of hers was in Jude but a lot of people don't like that movie.
That was such a heart breaking movie.
One of my very favourite !! As Sue Bridehead, she was at her top...
Just watched Jude a couple of days ago... What a story!
Beautiful 😍
titanic !
Can’t believe nobody talks about The Dressmaker. Crying shame.
Someone explain to her she was also American
In ‘titanic’ thank you.
Also I don’t take her not mentioning ‘titanic’ as bad, I take it ‘WELL OBVIOUSLY TITANIC BUT
THE FIVE OTHER ROLES’.
❤️👍
Why is Steve Jobs name on the screen?
Kate nice looking.
where is rose???????
alright :)
نحبك kayet.
did she play an immigrant on a boat ?
Heavenly Creatures is very good, but why is she talking about it as though millions of people have seen it?
Because millions of people HAVE seen it and it has received widespread critical praise... It was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars, which is an achievement in itself seeing as it is a New Zealand production... It was hardly an obscure debut, seen by only a handful of individuals before being relegated to the archives forever...
Lisa White Correct . It’s an amazing piece of filmmaking in many ways and both Winslet and Lynskey were outstanding. It also showed the world that Peter Jackson was a force to be reckoned with. I guess for some people if it hasn’t got a superhero saving the world or isnt instalment 433 of some tedious action franchise then a film hasn’t been a major global success
Man, that movie was great and popular. In my childhood it was very usual to watch Heavenly Creatures on the open TV here in Brazil, even with the creepy as hell story. Kate is right and she knows what she saying.
@@lisawhite2600 It's never been popular or well-known. It's not even popular enough to be a cult film.
@@calamityj3634 She didn't become well-known until Titanic. PJ didn't become well-known until years later.
She loathes, having played rose it seems.
