Thanks man. I used the CG Dealers 3h Tutorial to make a Auto Material, but in my case (maybe iam dumb) it’s not working properly. Now I can keep my time back with your amazing Mat. ❤ Now I must figure out how I also use some Nanite Displacements with this to make it more realistic for my Iceland Project

How would go go about to manually paint down a "layer" for dirt or puddles? Other layers that is not on the material by default you need to add yourself of course, like: **Asphalt, Soil, Forest(s), Beach, Mud ++** Even if you do add custom layers these auto layers will still cover the map automatically, and so i curious to if they can be edited to for instance use a mask (weightmap/splatmap) as a switchable parameter option? I'm aware that a landscape material without paintable layers for each different texture is more performance friendly then one with it's own wightblended layer. But i also know that many of the MAWI pack landscape materials are not something you just drag and drop to any landscape you create without the need of some serious editing of the master material.... And then there is the fact that the different pack materials i tried don't have distance fading either. Is that something that will be used in future editions of MAWI's landscape materials?
Tbh, such a pity there is no painting function. Truly amazing material, fully procedural which is cool, but makes it unsuitable for something that needs a very specific layout. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing!

Awesome work, i have however a problem with disabling the proceduals, they are coming back even if i uncheck the boxes, check them back and uncheck makes them temporary dissappear but they eventually come back again, a bit frustrating

I used this automaterial in my level and it made my map look stunning but now whenever i play in standalone mode my game has to compile 5409 shaders and then crashes the standalone app . I tried building all level but didnt work . Please help me out .
Easy no, only if your really good with material logic in UE5 you could extent it with more. But adding more will also make the material very heavy for performance.
MaxPosPower controls the falloff, it should be soft by default. Depending on your landscapes elevation and slope angles that might be a hard line if height changes rapidly.
Hi, maybe a stupid question. When i put the same material you used, it is completely snowy with no grass (or kinda rocky depending on the height of the landscape), and i cant figure out why yours is green and full of grass. Thank you for the material!
Is there a way to get world landscape texturing more performant? I have a 5x5km map with 0.5m accuracy, original MAWI settings and textures and an RTX3060 graphics card and on an empty map with only terrain, I get 12fps at 1080p.
Also if you're using UE5.4, there is a bug in the engine with Nanite landscapes. I have a workaround in a new version coming that should improve performance with it.
The material is great, but it won’t render in Sequencer no matter what. Anyone else tried adding a camera and render it? It looks great in viewport tho. I guess it’s only made for in-game, not for cinematics..
Found a fix eventually, it’s from their manual, for anyone else who can’t render out the landscape: Add a "Game Overrides" to your MRQ settings if you dont have one already. Inside the Rendering details of the Game Override "Flush Grass Streaming" needs to be disabled. Add a "Anti-aliasing" to you MRQ settings. Check "Render Warm Up Frames" go to "Advanced" and set "Engine Warm Up Count" to something like "1000".
Bad material, there is no way to put Physical to make the character make noise when walking on each type of ground, this material is the only one, there is no way to make the sound of footsteps
Because a lot of people creating their own auto landscape material now and with more details , it’s complex material but doable and there are people who created detailed tutorials about it that are cheap so may be there’a no point in buying an ALM anymore , his other asset however are awesome and not always matchable

Any way to make the new layer by height break up more? The snow on my test for example stops at a perfectly straight and sudden height line..

Sounds more like your landscape actor is the root of all evil. 5x5 is very usual size, plus its 10k that is a massive mesh.
Also if you're using UE5.4, there is a bug in the engine with Nanite landscapes. I have a workaround in a new version coming that should improve performance with it.
