First Ever Planetary Defence Mission. Mankind is taking the necessary moves to become Master's Of The Universe. Imagine if WE are the first sentient beings capable of interplanetary travel? Of course WE will also move to use Clones/Robots/Silicone Humans as our emissaries.
It could be possible that we are the first but when you truly understand that the universe could potentially be infinite, I highly doubt it. Regardless, both scenarios are equally terrifying 😓.
seeing as the universe is mind mindbogglingly huge, I highly doubt we are the first. I would assume at least several advanced space able alien cultures (that we will probably never see or hear from). nevertheless, cool to see us getting there.
Hmmm....got to wonder-if this were a real threat, would they tell the general public and risk mass panic? Or, would they call it practice or a "test", and then hope for the best......
I don't think they'd mention it if this was still the seventies. Today there are far too many skilled amateur and semi pro astronomers out there for "them" to hide anything. The only thing they could do is label all the global astronomers "conspiracy theorists". And I don't think that would work.
Phenomenal! Finally this thing is becoming a reality. We might be looking at this launch in future as that time we have dodged the bullet in the last second.
This is an unprecedented level of importance. This is the first time in Earth's history that a method of Defense has been conceived and tested with success. The probe was expensive yes, but I would say that three hundred million dollars is well worth it for the protection of Earth.
Does the payload space inside the fairings stay pressurized from being at ground level or does it decompress as it gains altitude? Just curious if internal air pressure helps push fairings away from payload.
There’s relief knowing about this for so long and somebody doing something about It almost didn’t want to watch don’t look up but my girl made me and this video makes me feel like humanity might just be on the right path in this corrupt world that needs work 🌎
@@Verbal_Sin then how come there has been many many instances where the video don't cut? This BS about being fake. Better hope not for our sake one day. Its Very dangerous to change a big old asteroide trajectory like this . More hazardous than destroying it in Little pieces or connecting on the rock a Rod with a reusable system. The New trajectory can be more dangerous. I surely make this kind of test only if its the END of the world
if the detonation is at distance it will not do anithing to the asteroid because the shockwave need matter to do something and if you explode it on the asteroid it will make a ton of fragments that can cause harm to the planet (sorry for my bad english)

Bit late to say sorry when one asteroid is deflected off course hits another one that in turn strikes a BIG asteroid that now is heading unseen to Earth, could explain why no aliens have ever made contact as they reach a stage in their development before wiping themselves out
Blue Origin's best defense against an incoming asteroid is Jeffy Besos suing the asteroid on federal court.
That’ll definitely slow it down long enough for the sun to die

I belive it will bleed air following the aptnosphere pressure because I’m pretty sure it has to be air tight
