I remember when my mom and step dad first moved in. He brought his PS1. We used to all take turns playing the first 2 Spyro games, the first 3 Crash Bandicoot games, and Frogger 2 on most weekends. There are so many memories, dude.
Nice! I started playing the remake recently. Never really playing the originals (no PS), but so far, the remakes seem like they did a good job of capturing the feel and improving the graphics and maybe even the controls/camera. Sunny Flight took me ages to complete, trying to figure out how to get all sets of collectibles in one go. I can't imagine how much time kids must spend trying to complete it! Had to take breaks every so often, though, because the 3D makes me dizzy.
i dont blame you on sunny flight. some of those are SO obnoxious that I got super tilted trying to beat it. but i have a decent go of it this time around.
@@thegameis_over1530 Actually this is not entirely true. If you do not unlock Sunny Flight before rescuing Lucas in the level Wizard Peak in the Magic Crafter's Homeworld he will actually tell you exactly to unlock the Artisans' homeworld flight level. Once you hear this dialogue, not only do the platforms light up, but there is an additional "ding" sound that transposes upwards till you land on the final fifth platform.
Also, iirc they do light up once you land on more than one single platform no matter if you spoke with Lucas in Wizard Peak or not, though you won't hear the unique 'ding' sounds.

The PS1 is the most special console for many similar reasons. The nostalgia is crazy.
Best console intro in gaming history. Makes you feel like you’re entering a different dimension. Beautiful sound design
Couldn't agree more, Janus
Oh god, that classic intro is amazing
Right?! I felt SO giddy hearing it again. I LOVE the original PS1 intro. Its brilliant and gives me chills every time.
So excited for the Marco the Dragon play-through 🐉
Haha, I’m excited that you’re excited, Serge
That ps1 start up❤

Waterfall Secret jump on every Circle in the water
Think
lol "think" - DONT INSULT MY INTELLIGENCE. That said, I figured that was it but i also thought the plates would light up.
@@Marcanine Oops I meant to say "I think" they only light up in the remake
lol all good. but that makes sense.

I’ll never get tired of listening to that PS1 startup
same dude. its SO fantastic. i would love if there was a custom bootup like this for PS5 or something.
@marcanine that would be awesome to have
And I remember having some demo cds with different kinds of games
i had SO many of those! they often came in little magazine inserts
