Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the large captions you use on your videos. They're easy to read and really help in my understanding of what you're showing. Really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful places you visited in Brittany on your vacation. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Also, we have just moved to Plymouth from Yorkshire! Last month. We love it here and are exploring all the beaches and nature spots nearby. I've just turned 40 this year and have three teenagers and one 8 year old. One big blended family! Was lovely to hear you mention you also lived in Plymouth. It is an awesome place! We are moving to the other side of the bridge into Cornwall - Saltash, hopefully by the end of the year! So much to discover down here. Really glad I found you as finances are key right now and we are hoping to pay off our mortgage as quickly as we can 🙏..so we can live a simple life too ! ❤🌊🙏

The spring gardens in Brittany are so lovely, you are lucky to get good rain in the winter but hardly any frost.

So interesting to see the oyster beds! what a lovely holiday you had. I am preparing for winter by growing a veg/fruit garden and preparing kindling (for open fires) using any small sticks of fallen apple wood etc from the garden.

what a lovely place, thank you so much for sharing your holiday with us. I am absolutely fascinated by standing stones and have been fortunate enough to be able to seek them out whenever we were in Scotland or England, but have never been to see the ones in Brittany. I have now put this on my list of places to go! Such a beautiful place - the sea coast and beaches, the little village, your little apartment, all just lovely. Hope you had a wonderful time away

Hi Jane and Mike. The region you visited looks idyllic. No, you don't need to spend lots of money to have a nice time. I have always loved travelling to places less touristy to see how the locals live. I've never heard of Carec though, which does look beautiful. The prehistoric stones are fascinating. To think, they have been there all those years. The video captions are a great idea. This time of year I'm winding down with the gardening. It's reached the stage where each mow could be the last of the season. However, over the last few years, this seems to be getting later and later. I try to prepare to make things easier for next year's gardening season, which I find also starts earlier now. Thanks again to you both for sharing this holiday video. Lovely to see your dogs enjoying it so much as well.

Lovely holiday spot - the mind boggles about the stones - do they point to Stonehenge, are there burials underneath, were they for harvest festivals, wow they raise so many questions! Love French stone buildings.

Its the same folk who have built stonehenge and barnenez. They have found same tools on it. For a english scientist brittany was center of this folk because we found the most stone .
      Probably ancesters of celtic bryttonic.

Enjoyed seeing the stones and the oyster beds! It looks like a delightful, relaxing way to spend time away from home! If you were home you would be busy working on your land and in your home! Not being able to work when away is one of the best ways to relax on vacation! We have always been picnic people but not party people and enjoy them year round. When things opened up shortly after the shut downs we took a travel staycation to Switzerland. My husband and I visited a local thrift (charity) shop and purchased a few lovely plates and a nice souvenir trivet made there for a few dollars each. I researched places we would like to visit and famous dishes from those regions. I shopped in advance, listened to local music we might hear if we visited, and purchased a few chocolate bars from a local store with discount specialty items. We had Swiss fondue, Swiss chicken, Swiss green beans and I made a Swiss braided bread loaf. We watched several train, cable car and travel videos and researched about each region, viewed lovely photos, etc. We finished with the delicious chocolate bars. It was cold and wet when we took our” journey”, my bread was a flop because It did not rise as much as it should have, but we passed some happy hours and plan to go somewhere else next time.

Have just finished watching, as had to do dinner in the middle! That's a great log splitter, it's hard here if you rely on wood as a primary source of heat (we do same as you do!) as it never really ends. What a smashing holiday, and so much nicer out of season, as fewer people around. Lovely appartment with a sea view too! You both certainly deserved that break, and have some lovely memories. Île de Groix is on our list one day!👍❤

Hi Jane and Mike , loved the video such an interesting place . We love history . We are starting to collect and stack logs that we’ve had in piles around our land . We recently got 3 free family passes for the National trust via a national publication so really looking forward to 3 days out in Norfolk as we have alot of National trust properties here where I live so not far to go ! It’s half term this week so a free forest walk too is on the cards .
