I have watched ALOT of tutorials, trying to learn to braid and they NEVER show you clearly how to flip the hair to make the knot but NOW... THANKS TO YOUR VERY DETAILED TUTORIAL, I GOT IT!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! BEST TUTORIAL EVER!!! ❤
OMG....THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I absolutely needed a slowed down how-to video like this. It is quite thorough and very well explained. I will use and recommend this video to anyone who asks for a good box braids tutorial.
Really long video but it is worth watching this is one of the best braiding videos of all time i like how you repeat the steps over and how you show steps from different angles i will use this video as my guide next time i do some box braids.
Your video is far more detailed than anyone else's. I have to keep replaying to get the start down. Its the part I struggle with. My brain is flipping things around. I'm confident that I will eventually grasp it after rewatching enough times that starting braid. Its the part right after the loop that gets me. Instead of the braiders in my house explaining they rather take over my project and just do my hair themselves exclaiming that it would be difficult to explain. As long as the pieces are labeled and I can see the finger movements it should not be hard for me to get down. That is exactly what you do in your tutorial. You are a lifesaver! 😌
I’m a braider been braiding for along time and I can honestly say this video has helped me to improve my braids I always wanted to learn how to perfect my knots Thanks for sharing your skills with us 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I found this channel some days back and I've been truly blessed. I was so surprised at my improvement. You're a teacher through and through. God bless you immensely. I'm really looking forward to seeing you someday!!!!. Daalu.
This is the most detailed video of all times! I have wanted so much to learn how to do this particular knot. I am no hair braider but, I have really learned how to do this. Thank you so much for this tutorial. May God Bless You!
Thank you! This is hands down the most comprehensive box braiding tutorial I have ever seen! Thank you for moving the camera to show the hair and hand placement as you braided! That was the most useful part along with the slow movements and repetition! I'm still practicing so I can learn a method and get it down so I can do my braids faster and neater. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!💗💗💗🌺🌻🌼🌷
@@Efe-isaac ok, I tried it again and GOT IT! My braids are staying in! I'm so happy😭😭😭😭😭💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! After struggling for so long, this helps me move much faster. So grateful for you! I watched that 1st method I don't know how many times. It's not perfect but they are in and secure. Still have some practice to get them looking like yours at the root! Grateful for you sharing! Gratitude!
This is the best teacher have seen so far,I learned alot but still struggling with little challenges, I wish I can have your contact and relate with you personally, thank you for your time and teaching
This is the most detailed braiding tutorial I’ve ever come across on RUclips. Thank you so much for taking out time to explain each process. You’re simply the best at what you do! Can you please make a video on how to make cornrows with straight lines and equal sizes. Thank you!
I like your detailed description or explanation with patience and calmness of various methods of planting the braiding hair on the natural hair. I prefer the first method. Thank you very much.
Omg i went to hair school in the eighties and never learned anything like that they never taught us how to do black hair we had to learn from the black girl but never liked how you take the pain to show it over and over I tell you are a god send because I am getting ready to do my daughter hair and as I was walking through the videos I saw your that’s lovely I love it god bless you ❤
You give awesome instructions and you are so patient with your instructions. Thank you so much for sharing. I have learned so much from you even though I have been doing box braids both feed ins and knotless also with the knot. Thank you and God bless.
I have troubles making a pre-knot. But you’re the only one that explains it in a way I get. Thank You! So muchhhhhh. I finally get it lol. I feel so slow because I Know it’s a easy technique. But I Don’t Know I just didn’t get it. Now on the other hand doing cornrows came easy to me. I didn’t have to watch anyone or look at videos. I just knew. It came to me naturally.
Thank you so much for this. I totally forgot how to start braids since I haven't done it in 13 years. Your video is very helpful. My sister could never for the life of her do overhand, she always had to braid underhand. I do it both ways.
This video is amazing that you so much . My identical twin sister is having a baby girl in just a few weeks so I wanted to learn how to be the auntie to keep up with her hair . Embarrassed to say at age 27 I didn’t grow up braiding hair because my mother never learned . My aunt use to be the one to braid our hair and even my mothers when she was younger .This video was so well put together and thank you for going slow and being patient . Most braiding to tutorials are so quick with the knot part in the beginning because they assume that non hair braiders are aware of that important step lol
SOOOOOO GLAD you know how to braid “underhanded”, but even better, you explain it so very very well!! Do you know how rare it is to see someone braid like this?? I can braid over handed, but I don’t like it and only do it because that’s all anyone knows how to explain, so I forced myself. I can’t say thank you enough because I can Finally do box braids… MY PREFERRED WAY… underhanded! I even braid cornrows underhanded.
You are a good instructor. You are very mindful of everyone situation. You are patient... I like your teaching. I braid hair, but you types are very helpful... Keep the good work!
Thank you so much!!! You are so amazing at teaching! I feel soo much more confident now! I’ve gotten 5 lessons in less than an hour! You are the truly the GOAT! Thanks again love! God bless you!🥰♥️😘
Could you do another tutorial on ending the box braid with the underhand method with different colored hair cause I desperately need some help I can't get it and you explain very well.
wonderful video 💯👏👏👍👍 made it very clear to understand and so I was able to see where I was struggling and fix it.. thank you for taking the time to do such a great tutorial.
The way I had this video on repeat don’t make no sense lol 😂 but I really want to do my own box braids even bought my own mannequin to practice even more… I know how to braid but I never perfected box braids…thank you so much for this… you’re a blessing 🙏🏽😊
I'm mastered your straight hair technique and it's beautiful. I've tried this technique on wavy and curlier braid extension hair and I've had to modify it to achieve the "button" For one you can "pre knot the hair because if the bends and turns of curly or wavy hair Please do a video. You're my new favorite
"" wow! Thank God for someone like you.. I'm quite sure this video will be very appreciated, Nice skills to share, letting people's know that you do care,😄👌😎👍
Just came across this video and must admit I have never seen an online braiding video so explicitly done that anyone with no flare for braiding or struggling with how to begin can easily learn. In fact this is actually the very first time I am commenting on any RUclips video. Thank so much. It's so helpful. Pls is there a detailed video like this for Ghana weaving?
Thank you so much for taking your time with this teaching. Some of these I do practice. Nice to know there's more than one way to accomplish my braids.
Thank you so much for this video🥹 your patience, the detail. Godsent! I’m still struggling with my knot it looks like it’s floating on top of the braid, it forms a big knot in the middle on top of the braid I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
Hi I wrote the comment about the wavy or curly hair braiding hair and how I could not master the "button"cc nmmmm. The key after the initial rotation and two sections are in the right hand I have to pull on the middle strand to flatten it at the root. If I dont pull it tighter to smooth out the bend curly or way hair then itll have the traditional knotted look. Its not as difficult then only using one piece of wavy hair however the more hair I use the bulkier the root. So again the key is to pull the middle strand to ensure it lays flat. Phew. This will also work when doing jumbo braids so the stylist wont have to use a rubberband.
I finally got to start a braid. I understand the technique you used when splitting the hair into 3 sections holding the middle then also applying the extension to those sections. Other then that I have a hard time trying to grip while still braiding. I was getting too hung up on flipping the hair to start with the knotted part on top of the real hair. I just couldn't hold the knot while grabbing the correct strand of hair. I kept grabbing part of the looped hair with one of the other two pieces making a twisted loose mess! 😑😭 I am learning though. I want to complete my hairstyle before my birthday this month. ^_~
Just a suggestion could you use a different color hair on the next tutorial. It helps to see better the techniques. I love your tutorials. Keep up the good work.
New sub here.. I appreciate your channel thanks a mil.. You are very patient with teaching and explaining grateful 💯. The overhand method is my fav.. Can you please do a video showing in slow motion how to add the hair to extend the length or knotless and how to know how thick or thin hair should be and how much hair to add.. Thanks in advance ☺️
