Yep. Poor Blue Collar Claudia taking any bread crumbs or glitter the Carrington’s give her and wimpy Kirby the downstairs daughter of the house Majordomo. That was a missed opportunity making them friends, however, Dynasty wasn’t about the nuance and character development. Viva La Joan!

Can’t believe Alexis kept her back to Kirby when she got in the elevator. She did just threaten her with a gun after all. I would have been watching to make sure she actually got in that elevator and left.
Kirby pulls that gun on Alexis, and when Alexis threatens to cut off Adam, Kirby responds contemptuously (and truthfully) that "What do I care about Adam?" Alexis then responds knowingly (and absurdly) that "You care -- because you love him..." Now, I've always had a problem with Alexis' answer. We all know that Kirby didn't love Adam at all.... So why not have Alexis answer that once cut off, Adam would have no choice but return to Denver-Carrington and compete with -- and perhaps destroy -- Jeff, whom Kirby does love, "... and I'll help him," threatens Alexis. (Even though we know Alexis likes Jeff too much to really do that).
Kirby: “You bitch!” Alexis: “If I am, take a lesson from me. You may need it.” You’re damn right, Alexis! 👏🏽 You wrote the book and ran the school on being the coldest bitch. Kirby needs to grow a spine and start taking notes. Ladies, sometimes, we need to be bitch...and it’s not always a bad thing. Own it! 😎
Watching these clips, spoilering myself before I finish my first time watch thru. Wow this Kirby girl looks so much like Joan. Every feature matches, even the same eye assymetry. When I saw the thumbnails with her, I always assumed it was Joan herself in her youth. So its bizzare to me that the character wasnt even her daughter xD They found 2 actresses with a 30 years of age difference, yet having the same face, and did nothing with it xD So far I find Kirby rather pleasant to watch. It's clear the character is supposed to be shy and awkward, feeling out of place among these people. But I can't help but notice how weak the writing is, just from this scene. So a new girl come in for revenge, but its resolved with her pulling a gun out with no witnesses, only to get told "i won't press charges if you leave!", and she does? I don't know if it's possible to have a weaker character exit than this xD

I want to find out (eventually) that Alexis ran Kirby out of Denver and away from Adam because Kirby WAS Alexis' daughter -- one sired by Joseph when a drunken Alexis and an inebriated butler had a one-night fling when Blake was away on business circa 1961 (she's feeling neglected and Joseph is upset after visiting his crazy wife, Alycia, in the mad house). Alexis becomes pregnant, "goes to visit Mother" in London for a few months, has the baby, then returns to Colorado with the swaddling child and presents it to Alycia Aynders in the asylum, sending the major dmo's wife into a permanent psychotic spiral... Alexis threatens a terrified Joseph with revealing their brief affair to Blake, and then she and Blake separate and divorce a couple of years later anyway... But all this is the true reason for the enmity between Alexis and Joseph, and why Alexis bribes Kirby out of town.
It's a toss up between Kirby and Claudia as to who was the most pathetic character on this show...but at least Kirby had the chutzpah to actually pull a gun on alexis
Actually she was shot towards the end of the show. She and Blake were running for governor. It was a shallow flesh wound and she recovered quite quick. And she was shot by her then husband Sean Rowan, Kirby's brother who was out for revenge for what he thought Alexis had done to his family.
Obviously this Kirby character was somebody's cousin or daughter of the show because she did not fit in at all with that horrible hair she was very under Dynasty and she could not act
Oh pah-leeeese. Kirby had beautiful hair! She chose to ware her hair Long and expressive, and natural. Versus cut terrible and all bleached out and fake permed.
kirby was real love of adam during dynasty.he never seemed to feel for his other li's like he did kirby.it was good he ended with kirby in the reunion though it wasn't same since gordon thompson wasn't able to return

Alexis is a smart woman - she knew Kirby was unable to shoot her the way her hands were shaking even though Alexis stood still - therefore she used reverse psychology on her & amazingly got her to put the gun down so Alexis repossessed it, ultimately using this perfect opportunity for blackmail.
The problem with Dynasty was all the young supporting cast were terrible actors 😂 Joan, Linda and John Forsythe demanded respect and believability in their scenes together...but all the other kid actors were really lacklustre sorry. Kirby here is just not carrying the scene...like she should be.

However, I don't recall Alexis inviting Kirby to her apartment at that time so if she didn't invite her she could press charges of trespassing (which might just result in a fine, not imprisonment). Also, doing what Alexis did here gave her a certain amount of leverage/blackmail over Kirby.

Could have made the actress play Amanda instead of Catherine Oxenberg. But Catherine did at least look like Blake.
