Hey hey hey first one to comment. Jennifer is a spinto soprano. Spinto soprano have a naturally weighted tone. They are able to sing without a mic due to the power they possess and have angelic moments similar to a light lyric soprano. This also explains when she sings soft it still has some power to it. This is one of my favorite performances by her.
Yu said she was warming up her voice at the beginning. I could listen to her warming up all day! her voice his BEAUTIFUL! She is my favorite woman vocalist.
This is a great performance but she has one thst she does in Philadelphia its like WOW!!!!! I mean that live performance of Hallelujah in Philly was amazing !!!! But this one is great as well if you have a chance check out the live Philadelphia performance of this song 🎵
I'm not sure where she performed it but her best performance of this song was when she was singing outside in the winter with a coat and hat on during Christmas I think
Looks like a ring light, but it's actually an eye. You know how the industry is. Also she was not holding the mic at the beginning. She was sangin the ooooooo's while the mic was on the stand btw.
Jennifer is a soprano ;) Mezzos have way richer voices. Vickie Winans after her voice matured is a good example of one. Ah also someone like Mahalia Jackson is a mezzo.
And Simon Cowell basically said she couldn't sing! "The 25-year-old from Chicago was a contestant on American Idol in 2004. But she was voted off after judge Simon Cowell told her: "You're out of your depth in this competition."
FYI ☺️ She’s not holding the mic. It’s on the stand and she’s singing next to it, thus showing the power and resonance in her voice.
😂

She is a music treasure and a gift , one of the greatest singing ever
While I wasn’t fussed on the arrangement, that voice chills me every time I hear her. She is a beast ❤️
She wasn't holding a mic in the beginning. She was near one, but she was doing a Patti Labelle lol.
Yeah she definitely ain't have that mic in her hands😩
She has a richness and power like very few are gifted. It is very weighty.
She is wonderful & I gravitate to her light❣
I Luv the fact she's telling a story in the process. She's amazing!
The ring light was exactly what I thought of also when I saw this. Glad I wasn’t the only one! 😆
How you had to sing back in the old old days when they didn’t have microphones in church. You had to clap and sing. 😭😭 that shit hard too.

Gorgeous.....a veritable female Chris Stapleton! Thanks for the reaction, the passion and the fun...😁
The version she does live in Rochester is to me her best live version of it and the arrangement is amazing its raw and emotional!

You can take a girl out of the church But you can't take the church out of the girl

She could sing a phone book and I'd by it
Jennifer is a spinto soprano btw ( same as keke Wyatt )
Keke used to have a small soprano voice but having a million babies changed it lmaoo
@@KajiVocals OH LORD, you had to come in here with that?! Jesus... Lord...
@@ketofitforlife2917 It’s the truth. Voice changes with the hormonal release that happens with a pregnancy or a miscarriage. Nothing shocking.
@KajiVocals well that explains Jennifer's voice since she had a baby
hey bro please react to her singing memory please
