@@DonnieMulligan going with 3/8 mdf backer board and the screw to magnet on the speaker, since I didn’t put them in prior to veneer, then hot gluing a magnet to the grill. Putting in some metal between the grill and the fabric to protect it from the kiddos. Will try routing the edges for the diffraction , thanks for the tip and let me know if you have any other suggestions. I really appreciate your work, i have all the parts to build the Gr research towers and center just need time to do it! Your videos are great, thank you Donnie!
The big things with grills seems to be to not have any flat edges near the tweeters. Rounded edges only to prevent edge diffraction. I am still a newbie at this but a lot of online folks agree it is sound science.
Yes, I confirmed it while testing connections. 5 watts stereo in 4ohms. About 2 watts in 8ohms. These Drok amps boards are nice. Has a Power On/off/ volume knob, no hiss at max volume. Very stable. Great little 5V amp board.
Those small Mark drivers are remarkable☮️
Agreed!!!
I'm using a $2 version of that amp to drive a pair of bookshelves. They sound great.
The Drok amps are surprising. I found two for $13 on Amazon. The power on/off and volume knob make it a no brainer!
Cool build! Thanks for sharing! About to dive into some grills for my 2tdx towers thanks to your other video.
Thanks! Keep them thin and round the edges near the tweeters to prevent edge diffraction.

Sounds great!
Great job. Inspiring. Is the PAM8406 based amp, really stereo?

Could it be that the actual dimensions you used are published somewhere? Thank you.
@mathewgeorge9550 If you look in the video description, I have the link to Markaudio's cabinet plans. Just click on the "Specs & Box Plans" tab.
@@DonnieMulligan Thank you. It appeared like you made few changes and hence the question.
@mathewgeorge9550 Not really, just added the 5V amp to power them. Great little full range speaker for small projects.
try adding subwoofer hk , sound way way better :), just finish my bluetooth ch50😊
I am happy how they turned out as is. Adding a sub was never part of the plan.
