Love this sweetie! So darling! Such a happy Spring project!
Love chenille it, used it years ago on a quilt for my grand daughter. I used it to quilt a grid design on the quilt. Turned out cute and she love it
What a cute and freeing sewing project!! I keep thinking of Marsha and Jan’s 70’s room with all the cute flowers!! How cute to make different colors in one runner or use them as a rug!!! Or a bed runner.. of the endless possibilities!!
What fun! You could do anything, different flowers even. So cool.
Great job Misty.❤ You made a super easy and beautiful table runner. My kind of play..
Super cute and so different!
Stitching it with your free motion foot might be easier. So many ideas spring to mind watching this! 😍
Great video! You really come up with great idea's! Thank you for sharing.
Nicely done. I remember your first videos as I watch this, you are a natural.
Thanks Misty! What a fun weekend project.
Now I want to try the chenille in a quilt. Thanks for the tips and inspiration.
What a cute runner. I think it would make for a great rug or end of the bed runner.
I double my chenille. It makes it more fluffy
Nice project😊
Great for hearts but I think the best use is to put a name on the baby name on a quilt backing… I am just finishing a baby quote now and will do this to the back
What fun! 😊
Great idea for a fast seasonal runner! Maybe put the binding on before adding the Chenille It to avoid getting it too close to the edge?
I've had rolls of chenille in my stash for years and had no idea what I'd do with them. You've sparked SO many ideas for me. Thanks, Misty!
What fun! It would make an interesting wall hanging, or curtain!
This is a great little project. I'll be having a go at it.
Very cute ❤it
That would be a good project using holiday templates
It totally would.
That's new and cute😂❤
you could leave the quilt on the long arm after quilting it and do the chenille sewing with the long arm if you have one. this way you don’t have to turn the fabric. also you should have mentioned using a smaller than normal stitch size to hold the threads once washed
This would be really cute on a quilt for a baby girl.
Love it! :)
Very cool .iam working on making your end zone table runner football feild i think i will give this a try as well.
What fun!
nicely done. thanks
Are you using a walking foot?? And what is your stitch length?? Love this idea- can’t wait to make this!
Is the chenille-it just a single layer of bias? I’ve used another product called chenille by the inch and it is several layers thick making it really fluffy.
I have some, it is just one layer.
@@Barbacoadinbut you can also do the wide chenille along with a narrow to give more lucious fluffing.
You can also spell out words or names in chenille. Good for baby quilt. Also, use a special person's handwriting to follow along. You can always will in around the word or name with flowers or squiggles.
Very cool…would a half inch of loosely woven cotton work as well as Chenille it?
Yes, but it needs to be cut on the bias to be able to fray like that. I suggest using a narrow zigzag if you are using a loose weave fabric. Be sure to do a test first!
Do several layers of fabric doing this method to truly get a nice fluffy result.
Would this be ok on a bed quilt?
Absolutely! I had a chenille bedspread on my bed as a child growing up in the '50s. They still sell them. Very vintage :)
@@KathyM-c6iI remember those very well. I also had a chenille robe.
@ruthhilsdorf3210 I forgot about the robes! Thanks for sparking that memory! That makes me want to add chenille to the hem... sleeves.. of my robe :)
On tote bags would be cute too
Is there a way to make rows and rows and some how French seam them together to make a large size like twin size?
This looks interesting. What exactly is chenille?
It is a bias tape that transforms into a chenille-like fabric when washed. It's used to add texture and drama to quilts, pillows, and other projects.
@@MissouriQuiltCothank you
It is a bias tape that can be sewn onto fabric to create a chenille effect.
Wouldn't things be tippy sitting on the chenille it
Looks way to complicated
