    Our technical support staff tell us that the plastic clips that hold the trim plate to the dashboard are some of the strongest they have ever seen. If you notice in the beginning of the video, we have a blue masking tape along the bottom of the dashboard. We put that in place so that we could use our trim tool and pry against the dashboard without scratching it. So, they are very strong and require A LOT of pulling to remove.

      So I just bought a 17 veloster and I need to add my sub and am to it but want to know if that's possible with the factory headunit?? Are there any special parts I need??

    • @BigHemiNJ
      @BigHemiNJ 4 года назад +1

      @@monicacummel5058 yes a line out converter, you splice into stock subwoofer speaker wire, add speaker wire to rca adapter and then run it to amp and connect subs to amp. ive done it in both my velosters.

    You guys clearly had the trim plate slightly removed before video taping. Can you tell us how you got it started? The little slots at the bottom do not help separate the trim from the dash. I've seen diagrams that say start at the top. I'd love to be able to replace my stereo myself since everyone here in town wants to charge close to $200.

    I HIGHLY recommend playing at 1.5x speed, music is better and it gets to the point. Don't need to watch someone take 4 screws out for 1min. Of course this comment is with love no hate great video

    Just what I needed! My AC keeps turning off and on and it seems to be because of the control panel. The turning nob that controls AC fan speed feels like it came off and is loose.

    What size screws hold the radio? Are they philips #2 or something different? I have a 2016 Hyundai Veloster

    My stereo randomly turns on and off while driving and sitting. I have no idea why. It’s not just when the Bluetooth is hooked up, regular FM/AM radio does it too! It’s soo frustrating! As someone who likes to do mini concerts in their car on the way to work this really makes it hard to look like a giant weirdo singing to myself in my car! Please help :(

    Does anyone know if a later veloster's radio (2017-2018) will fit a 2013 model physically and connectivity wise? Thanks

      @@cristiangabriel359 yeah so I gotten to learn more about this during the past year. It will fit physically and the connection plugs will probably look similar however the wires are mapped differently in each harness. You will need to rewire which is somewhat risky and nearly impossible without a wiring diagram. That is what I have heard after looking at various forums and different experience....

    Looks to me like they got it out first, then covered the surfaces with the tape to hide the scuffs that happened in the process. I haven't heard of anybody getting that out without some substantial scarring.
