Cardamon is crying out for help. He may not be physically crying or anything like that but he is. When we first see Cardamon in the series, he is the landlord and everyone wonders why. That’s because he’s taking over for his mother, who as been in a coma for quite a long time. When Cardamon gives the doughnut to his mother, she wished to be released from the suffering (and maybe take her son down with her, still figuring it out) and to die. Cardamon needs more love and support than he’s getting, he needs a mother figure.
I came here to compare his old voice with the new Netflix voice. I think it's pretty cool they kept the same voice actor even though it makes the character sound older now
the fact cardamon fed the rest of the donut to his mother rather than himself just shows how much belief and trust he had in the idea that his mom wanted to wake up. how depressing :(
I love Cardamon as a character. I can really relate tp him. Throughout my childhood i was forced to grow up way too soon, and it was because my mom couldnt get out of bed. I mean she did at times butbshe never took careof us, so its very easybtp relate to him. Props to his va, and all of the people who created B&PC.
Y'all know how Bee's hair is purple in her dreams and wears a color similar to Cardamon's shirt. Y'all know how in the mom's room, there is a silhouetted photo of Bee's dad. Y'all know why Bee is present in a family photo.
I feel like Cardamon can relate to Steven from Steven Universe. Steven's mom had sacrificed herself in order for Steven to exist. I think something similar may be happening with Cardamon and his mom.

I like how Cardamon has a British accent and Puppycat is voiced by a Vocaloid named Oliver who's voice was sampled by an unknown young British boy.
