    The world is regressing on vault except a couple of gymnasts, so we won't see that in the nearest future. Even the number of successful Amanar is ZERO at 2022 & 2023 worlds.

      @@stevensmith8242 Leg events are injury-prone so many people concentrate on bars and beam instead. FIG makes this quad a bars quad, so people are stacking difficulty there. Floor is a dumpster fire. Vault is a high scoring event but it's still less than bars.

      I don't agree with this. Back in 2008/2011 vaulters like Barbosa and Pavlova were considered strong athletes and both suffered to master the amanar-cheng's combination. Actually it's very rare to achieve two strong vaults, not even Alicia, Aliya or Maroney got to upgrade the DTY or Mustafina/Lopez (I would guess only a few bunch of gymnasts got the chance to put it together - Rosu, Cheng, Biles, Paseka, Carey, Skinner, Rebeca, Chusovitina and Hong un Jong / although I consider the double twist tsukahara and the chusovitina/yeo very complex vaults as well)

      @@angelinafreiredossantos8800 In the past, three DTY or other 5D+ vaults are compulsory for top teams. Now they are struggling to put three 5D+ vaults, so that's not true. Besides that most of those gymnasts are from 2017- era. After 2021, the world regresses a lot on vault.

    It would be ridiculous if they valued it at 5.8 considering the YDP is a 6.4 and they're both the same DV in MAG

    • @cocoroni1031
      @cocoroni1031 4 месяца назад +5

      YDP should have been higher in MAG. Now that MAG cares so much about viewership, they have to urgently increase the value of double back elements on floor. They should do the same on vault.

    • @erinm9445
      @erinm9445 3 месяца назад +3

      Agreed. The simple fact that no woman has ever succeeded in doing it in competition seems like all the proof you need that it is REALLY hard, and 5.8 is too low. I think I'd be okay with 6.0 (and 5.6 for the Amanar), though 6.1 or 6.2 would be better.

    Hong Un Jong did try the triple-twisting Yurchenko in the vault finals at the Rio Olympics. She wanted to get it named for her, but the judges decided she didn't quite get it all the way around, plus she fell. Gutsy move on her part - with an easier vault she would presumably have medaled.

    The mere fact that very few WAGS are performing the Amanar these days tells me that next to nil would be willing to perform the TTY outside of the gym. Having said that, I would love to see Rebeca give it a go, if only to get her name in the COP somewhere. Yet, having suffered three ACL injuries during her career, that might be a lot to ask of her. Even so, she and Simone are the only ones who I think can successfully land this.

      " *I think Aimee trained Simone very smart* " YES!! I think this is ONE of the MAIN differences between Simone's gymnastic journey and that of Rebeca's. Rebeca was clearly a talented young lady from the get go but I firmly believed she was not coached well and not paced properly. Simone on the other hand truly struck GOLD with Aimee as a coach. For me, she is the reason behind Simone's success. Until the Landis are able to bring Simone that AA, vault and floor gold at the Olympics, they will always be second rated in my mind to Aimee.

    I know we would love to see more complex vaults but vaulting has a very HIGH incidence of career ending injury! So if we never see these vaults to a hard landing lets not blame the gymnast. I would rather they have a longer career than a career ending injury.

    Muito triste terem baixado tanto a dificuldade do Amanar , hoje em dia vale muito mais a pena fazer uma dupla pirueta bem executada pra arriscar um 9,5 de execução e tirar um 14,500 do que tentar o Amanar com 9 de execução pra tirar um 14,400 , só a FIG pra achar que isso tem lógica

    • @brianmonteiro3298

    • @erick_yuri
      @erick_yuri 4 месяца назад +2

      Sempre foi isso. A questão é, para fazer exercícios mais difíceis, o ginasta tem que ter uma execução muito limpa, pq vai ter desconto do mesmo jeito.
      Quem não tem capacidade de fazer assim, melhor ir no mais fácil.
      No caso do Amanar, a Biles sempre tem uma execução com poucos descontos. Pra ela, vale a pena fazer.

      @TransWomenAreMen 2 месяца назад

      He's a little secret: Women and men are different. Thus, the difference between two skills can be substantial for women, whilst being negligible for men. The double pike requires more power - power being something men can create much easier than women - whereas the YTP is less power and more technique and so, easier for women to do. Hence why so many women have seriously trained the YTP and only one has trained the Biles II.

    rebeca andrade is close to making this vault official with her name, many doubted that she could do it and hoped to see the vault at the olympic games, however rebeca was smart and didn't want to risk a guaranteed medal to try to win the gold, because if she had made a mistake She might not have been on the podium and the Olympics are every four years, so it wasn't worth the risk, but she will definitely do it in some world championship, as she posted 2 videos and the execution is very good
