The speaker connection has the wrong polarity and that's why the lows are non-existent when playing both speakers at the same time.

separate the speakers to get what is called stereo separation.

Unbalanced in too much mids and highs. Personally I would eliminate those potentiometers and upgrade the crossovers.

But many people buy them precisely because of this feature.
If you want more bass, you need to look at acoustics with a woofer of at least 30 cm.
A typical example is Kenwood LS-990D or Lo-D HS-430.
There's no lack of bass.
