One of the great songs off the "Surf's Up" album. Still beautiful. So well done here. I remember working at our school when I was in the 8th grade and listening to this album over and over again.
this is one of my top 5 BBs favorites. So beautiful, especially the LP version with Carl's angelic voice in the background. there used to be a live version from 93 floating around on youtube but not anymore i dont think. anywho, great song and so fortunate they're playing it live!
Sir, 1st off, the 94 Version is here on You Tube, with Carl on that wonderful Rhodes DX7, with chimes, & Richie Canatta on sax, & Matt doing those gorgeous falsetto's. That said, this is a good effort, but that DX7added so much--& Carl's voice--well, Jeff [ who's doing it] would be the 1st to say, he's a distant 2nd to Carl. Still, a nice effort, from '72, Carl & The Passions, So Tough. Wolfsky9

I listen to this when I can't sleep. It's very soothing. This is a good version of it. Thanks for posting.

Man they sound fantastic here! The mix with the louder guitar is also GREAT!
So Tough is probably my Fav BB lp from a divergent stand point. I love the wide styled line up of songs and the hip sound.
You're right! I listened that one over and over too! Especially Marcella and You Need a Mess Of Help...!
