This album came out before Rust in Peace. Wow. The lead work isn't anything special, but the rhythm playing and more generally the songwriting is incredible.
One of the dirtiest riffing thrash albums of all time.
Way better that Rust In Peace, which is heavily overrated IMHO. Not bad, mind you. RIP is a good album, but not some thrash magnum opus. By Inheritance is better. And I'm a big Megadeth fan.

This song was my very first Artillery experience back in 2009 when I still exploring Thrash Metal. The soft-heavy progression was mind blowing.
By Inheritance is the most overseen album ever and the best! A true classic!

Anyone got an idea in what tuning it is? It sounds to me it's dropped by 1/4 (Bb min), 1st fret capo.
Sounds about right. I usually would tune my guitar a quarter step higher. It's practically the same as putting a capo on the first fret.

I understand that time is passing etc... but why can't they atleast make music which is similiar to the 80s and early 90s thrash metal and not metalcore...because metalcore is kinda the thrash metal of the 80s now, if you know what I mean.
I was 15 when I bought this album.The big guns like Metallica,Slayer and Megadeth were at their peaks at the time and these guys just never got the recognition they deserved.Maybe they just had shite management!Nevertheless this is one great album.
