Woodgate Valley parkrun - can I complete my stopwatch bingo?

- Welcome to my Woodgate Valley parkrun video. There were 3 aims today. Firstly tick off my Nearest Event Not Done Yet (NENDY), create the first timelapse of this event, plus try and complete my parkrun in a finish time ending XX:10 to collect the last number on my stopwatch bingo 5k app.
I’m next heading to Brueton parkrun in Solihull to take part in a New Year’s Day fitness test. This will be the 3rd year in a row to see where my fitness is on the first day of the new year. I’m hoping for a new course pb!

There was just one other video of Woodgate we could find so we knew what that last 800m had in store. I think my trainers have only just dried out 🤣

If you ever download the app, it’ll put all your previous parkruns in and there’s a heap of fun challenges and stats on there. It’s good to mull over a cup of tea post parkrun and see how you fared.

bingo! I'm a long way out from that one - getting to 60 runs at all would be a first step 😁
I’m just glad it backdated every parkrun I’ve ever done. If not, it would have a been a looooong wait to get a full house. Still plenty of challenges to try and complete including Freyne Club. To run at 250 parkrun locations. I’m on 19 or 8% 🤣
You make that hill and muddy field look so much easier than they are! haha!

The mud at the end was treacherous 😁 We’d opted for road shoes as most was solid paths but we knew what was ahead on that last bit to the finish.
Rory’s decided the best way to get his face on camera is to hijack any shot I put him in charge of. Ask him what he did at the top of Pen-y-Ghent 🤣

I'd heard that the field was really bad recently - a few friends went on NYD (was this when you went?) and said it was so much worse than normal. Good choice on road shoes for the rest of it though!
Looking forwards to your 2024 content too, keep it up!
@@RichardHarper83 - we ran at Brueton on NYD, luckily just 1 big puddle but no mud 😁

That finish on the field looks horrific 😳. I wouldn't fancy going across it with any pace 😂
It was pretty much a shuffle 😁 Luckily I knew it was coming. Probably not a pb course but good fun anyway 😊
My local Parkrun is Itchen Country Park near Southampton and it’s a proper muddy off road course with at least half the route on either a very muddy, soggy field or on puddle laden woodland tracks. If you wanna muddy Parkrun it’s
the one to visit!
Looks like a tough course. I’ve just looked at my Stopwatch Bingo… I’ve got a long way to go!
I knew stop watch bingo was a thing but didn’t know there was an app where all those stats would be worked out for you. It’s a brilliant app 😁
