Love your tutorial, too! and yes I agree you make it look easy, don't think it'll go together that fast for me, lol. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Ginger, you make it look so easy! Cannot wait to see what you do next
HI Ginger I am loving this series...I know want to create a mini album...its been a long time since I did one! Gonna go into the studio and try my hand at this one....saving to my favorites. TFS love your work. Hugs Trish
I love how you fast forward through repetitive tasks. I get bored when crafters real-time the same thing over and over.
you are such an awesome teacher, thank you for making instructions very clear and easy to follow! this is inspiring!
Thank you so much for you tutorial.I did mini album with you tutoring and I love it.Everyone, who saw the mini album, just love it too.My friend bought all what she needs for this album and she is asking me to do with her together the mini album. That is great video and it is really helpful.Thank you again.
I enjoyed your video. I am new to making paper bag albums and yours are wonderfully made. I am going to attempt to make a mini with your instructive tutorial. TFS!
Very nice! I always marvel on how crafters think alike. I have two mini albums that I made in classes at our local scrapbook store. They were made in 2005-6. They have the hidden binding and an almost identical binding of stack the deck. I think they must all be a take on old fashioned journals and art.
Thanks so much for your videos - I have now followed them to make 3 mini albums and everyone that I gave them to loved them.
This is an amazing tutorial, I didn't have a clue how to get started. This is so helpful. I think I can start a mini now. I actually bought a mini already put together, but I haven't started on it yet. Thanks again. You are talented.
The mini album is coming along so nicely. Love Laura's stack the deck binding. You do very nice work. TFS!!! :-D
great tutorials...can't wait for the next one. Patty
Just another suggestion. My sister found some sticky back felt, which she sprayed with Glimmer mist, and then covered her torn paper by wrapping it over it. It looks great! If its not torn all the way through that might help. Don't give up! I have made 2 of these and they are great !
Love your tutorial! You make it look so easy!
Love your video's along with you extra tips. Great job!
I'm loving this. GREAT tutorial!! Thank you.
Cant wait for the next one!
I'm in AWE!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, GRACIAS!!! Your tutorials are so precise! TFS... chelle
I loved watching this video. Who ever thought of this binding system... Awesome!!! I am making one of these mini's........
I've used the Scrappy Tape forever - it's GREAT - much less expensive - tears easily - the service when I order is FABULOUS - and holds just as well. I noticed at the beginning of this video you showed the "Scrappy Tape" that you were using, yet called it Scor Tape through the tutorial.??? I've made paper bag albums but not the vertical. I shall try that! Thanks.
I did use scrappy tape. It was the first time I had used it. I have always used score tape so I probably just said the wrong name. My apologies. I still prefer the score tape over the scrappy tape. I had one of my projects that I used scrappy tape on come apart. Yikes!
Yes! I love it! I actually tried another brand called scrappy tape, and it isn't as good. Score tape is really good!
Love your tutorials ! Can not wait to see more ! TFS

Hi there. LOVE all of your instructional videos. They are excellent. Just wondering where you got your bone folder. It's a style I haven't seen before and looks to be a lot more functional that others. Thanks!
Thanks so much I have so been wanting to learn how to do mini,s would love to know how u do your other ones like the 75 cents ones and how u bind them all together for some reason they intimidate me thanks for the help can't wait to start
Great series of videos... thank you
Oh no! First of all, what cardstock did you use? I use Recollections cardstock from Michaels. I have found it to be the best for wrapping my chipboard. You need to leave at least the width of the chipboard as the space between your pieces. Did it tear all the way through? If not you an try adding some Modge Podge to the torn area. Sometimes that will prevent it from tearing any farther. Also when you go to bend your covers in go slow and only bend them 90 degrees. Hope this helps. Let me know!
very nice video, Thank you so much, I'm trying to get all this down!
Really enjoying your videos! Have you ever thought of using tyvek to reinforce the cover?
Love your tutorials........
Hi Ginger, just wanted to ask you yet another question and I'm not sure if I'm wrong to ask. Can Kathy King's Hidden Hinge Plus system be used with this tutorial, with it having 3/8" gusset, I didn't know if it could be used. I've made several of these wonderful albums, so much fun to do them, getting ready to start another one and that's why this question came up. Thank you Ginger for all that you do for us, you are such a blessing to me!!!
I'm sure it can. Just adjust the measurements for the covers and spine to accommodate it.
Thank you for posting these tutorials! I absolutely loved watching all of the videos and am close to finishing one of these journals, thanks to you. A question, please- is there a name for this type of binding? Thank you.
Ann Smith Yes, it is called “Stack the Deck” binding designed by Laura Denison. I don’t use this binding an6more as I prefer the hidden hinge binding.
Great!.
would love to try this but have never seen those paper bags here in Scotland?
Hi. You are so amazing and since I found your site, I havnt been off it. Today I made myself a promise to start this journal and start it I have. Trouble is, I've come unstuck, already!!!! When I went to fold the sides in the paper on the outside all tore........... is there anything I can do about it, or do I have to start again. I'm assuming I didnt leave a big enough gap in between the front and back cover and the spine! Please help x
Any chance you have a printable version of all the instructions for the vertical album? I'd love to print them out so I can remake this again in the future!
No sorry, I'm not good at written instructions...lol
Hello ! My name's Dalila , how are you ? I would like to know how did you make the cover and the measures , please . Thank you ! Have a nice day !
I did a waterfall on the front and the back cover.
Is the score tape as strong as say the RED LINE tape or the "industrial red backed tape"?
I HAVE A QUESTION WHAT IS THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE PIECE AND WHERE DO YOU PUT THE TAPE IT IS THE PIECE THAT YOU ARE COVERING UP
Janice Walters All of the measurements are on the description box of the video. The piece that covers the chipboard spine measures 5x8-1/4. You add tape to the chipboard spine sections as well as along the back of the cardstock that you are sticking down.
So, I am assuming that this stack the deck binding system will NOT work on a VERTICAL TP mini that I had *planned on lol having the tags come out the top of the roll opening and of course tape the bottom closed. It appears that this binding system is only to be used with an opening ...not just the one 'sheet' ...being the CLOSED side of the TP roll. Oh gosh I am so confused. As usual. Grrr. :(
If anyone reading this knows of a way to bind my VERTICAL TP mini please let me know. I already made a really cute cover cuz I didn't want to use rings. Hope you understand what I'm trying to achieve here. I need the TP tubes standing up so my Eiffel Towers will fit!!
Thank you so much for the tut, My Sisters Scrapper, and thank you to anyone reading this who might have a suggestion for a binding system. (besides telling me to give this papercrafting stuff up cuz it is WAY too complicated for me!!! But I can't anyways cuz I have bought waaaaay too much stuff so I can join in making all the beautiful things I see all you pros creating and now I am HOOKED!! lol )
Thank you so much in advance for any and all suggestions. :)
I have a 2 part tutorial on a vertical TP mini album. I do a hinge binding in that tutorial as well.
My Sisters Scrapper Oh thank you so much!! I'll check that out! I'm at your Channel often lately but haven't run across that particular vid. I guess I'm too busy looking at all your pretty creations!! Thanks again. ♥
What is that amazing economy size Adhesive roller?
Jennifer Ray It is a Scotch ATG tape gun. You can purchase them at Michaels, Joann’s, or Hobby Lobby or online as well.
My Sisters Scrapper Just ordered with 12 refill rolls!!! I am such a paper crafting hoarder :-). Thanks and I LOVE your tutorials. They are streamlined and easy to understand!!!
