John Popper came to my town and I went and saw him, standing front row! He had a broken shoulder on his right arm but he never missed a beat! This is the best harmonica player EVER!!!

A rabbit trail led me here. I was watching a documentary of the history of England, and when Anne Boleyn was mentioned, it reminded me of Hook. So I played that song for my wife. Then I started watching reaction videos to that song. Amazing talent and I wish him all the fulfillment that his dedication and talent deserves.

Who doesn't love John? He is inspiration to every person who thinks you have to look like a Ken doll to be successful..when I heard Run Around I used to call it the Coffee and Tea song. Rarely does a song make me laugh but several of John Lyrics make me laugh which is rare for top 40 songs..I said something like..."did he just say a new day is dawning but I like to sleep late?" 😁
He's a funny guy for sure! Love his music, was great to sit down with him for this!
So fucking talented! He plays the harmonica solo so fast and crisp, and sings faster than some rappers the next second. An amazing singer but Prehaps the most talented man to touch a harmonica! 🤘🏾

I went to high school in the 90's when Blues Traveler was at the height of their popularity. They were My favorite band and I used to listen to the album "Four'' every evening as I did my homework. Glad to see that John is healthy, happy, and is married with a child. I'm proud for him.
I was the same, except didnt listen every night! Good memories for you. And yes, he seems to be doing great!

Maybe not married...
I met John at a rock concert in Oakland in 1992 and I discussed with him that Mexico was taking over my hometown of Modesto Ca. and that jobs were worthless because of it. He agreed and said it was time to run them out of the state one way or the other.
Saw him at the Georgia Theater in Athens in 98. Same place used as the set for John Mayers first music video.
What a cool experience!

Who’s the better Harmonica player Alanis or The Popper?
I wish you would have asked him about his arrest a couple years ago. He was harrassed and arrested for having firearms and "hidden compartments" in his vehicle. A bullshit charge in my opinion.
