Still the best serious retelling of the Arthurian legend ever! (Monty Python and the Holy Grail being the best funny version) This film and "Deliverance" were John Boorman's two best films.

Excalibur, AKA Monty Python and the Holy Grail with worse actors, humor less intentional, and, sadly, no Moose to bite your sister! And no bunnies blown up by God-empowered hand grenades from Antioch. Sorry, kids, those tricks are for rabbits!!! Meanwhile Excalibur is a real laugh a minute, with Lancelot getting his butt kicked by Sir Liam Neeson (note the title of SIR! Thank you!) And this after getting busy with Guinevere! She alone knows why he has that cool name. Cos he likes using his "lance". A lot!!!!!
