Man your DK is an inspiration. Just observing your streams has levelled up my own DK and love all the great commentary and analysis. Keep up the excellent work. Really enjoying seeing you compete in tournaments recently!
Thank you! Whenever I have a good tournament run I try to go back and critique my own matches. It's good practice for when I critique gameplay for others as well.
I felt like there were a few situations where an up smash OoS would punish Byleth's nair? If so, positioning DK so that he's always got his back to Byleth in an attempt to scare him from using that tool would make the MU feel way more playable. When Byleth is going for the 0 to death, are you DIing the direction Byleth is facing and down? I know you explained it very clearly in the video, but DI is something I haven't really spent much time learning in the past, so I just want to make sure I understand it all for sure, now that I am trying to figure it out. Thanks for the awesome content! I've been binging your channel quite a bit recently
Yeah up smash out of shield is something I've been exploring a lot more lately! That backwards hitbox can be super useful, I like that thinking. It can probably work if you parry the last hit of Byleth's n-air (it has a landing hitbox). And yes, you have it exactly right. Hold down and away to avoid the zero to death, and up air to shift DK's hurtbox out of harm's way.
As a fellow dk player I think you should use side B more, lots of situations when people try to anti air you and you could land on them with it as a mixup
You should come through to my stream sometime! You can find others to play in my chat, or you can fight me if I'm doing viewer or sub battles! twitch.tv/DKwill

@Daina Wire why would you do that?
I prefer this style so much better than watching people stream their matches. Watching with commentary on the match is so much better! Nice work!

Yes, been really enjoying these analysis/commentary vids!

You did good! But as you say Byleth’s ability to anti air is extremely good, so its hard to land. For any big body really!
Nice plays and any advice against yoshi
Byleth is just his fa orite character ter beside joker and he goes byleth every tourney online basically
Nice DK
