  • The Urban Grove is a private residence located on the Northwest side of Tucson, AZ. Once part of a historic 450 acre citrus grove dating back to the early 1920’s founded by Mr. M.L. Reid. Mr. M.L. Reid was an amateur horticulturalist of the original citrus groves and father of Gene C. Reid (first director of Tucson City Parks and Recreation) later to become the namesake of Reid Park in Tucson.
Today The Urban Grove continues to thrive as a small but intimate citrus grove, date palm oasis and home to other varieties of fruit trees and gardens. It now opens its doors as an exclusive event space.
Entering the Urban Grove through a gated-entryway with date palms lining a long driveway, offers an atmosphere resplendent of the ”old world charm” of a Spanish Colonial territorial home. Original Mexican Saltillo tile and stone floors throughout the home, wood beamed ceilings, a dedicated round dining room- with 18-foot-high ceilings and a huge beehive fireplace are a few of the elements that enhance this wonderful 1970s home, that has been maintained to perfection while carefully preserving the original charm and details from a bygone era which create an authentic Southwest ambiance that is unmatched.
