Al, I recall that when you bought the first TYM, some commented that you'll need a larger one for your property. Glad you made the upgrade. 😊 Then, I keep thinking about that flail mower. You've mentioned that is the most budget friendly one, but seeing all the problems you've had, it might have been better to buy one that's more stout. I'm not a farmer, but I bought my second lawn tractor 20 years ago and went with the top lawn tractor from the company due to more features and a thicker mowing deck. I'm finishing my 21st cutting season with it. I did have to get a new deck stamping in 2023 and moved everything over due to rot. I'm so glad I bought better than I thought I needed.
For tractor implements... definitely would prioritize a quality PTO wood chipper given your location and circumstances. The ability to create animal bedding, as well as a supplement to your growing pastures (woodchips) and for gardening would be a huge benefit, and you have so much forest surrounding and on your property there is always a mess of blowdown and other tree materials from clearing, it would really make a lot of sense to invest sooner rather than later, especially now that you increased the PTO HP by 50% compared to your older tractor.
Al, check out the two kinds of round bales possible. One type makes the 7'+ diameter round bales. Works well with big herds. But there is another that makes bales less than 3' diameter. More flexable with tight places and small diverse herds. You needed something bigger, not only for hay making, but also to repair extreme rain damage to your roads. You have a lot of roads. And creeks, you now have the option of clearing about 10' of creek bed every 10-20 yrs.

@@samvalentine3206 I think your mistaken Sam, ( pretty-sure ) cause the first TYM was traded-in _ traded-up, Gina runs the Kubota tho ! I'm sure that Al and/or Gina haven't been maintaining the yard ( spending time ) at other homestead, a wild guess of mine' is that, it is rented out, with the exception of the most recent shed built before they moved, and maybe the basement storage items, ( those things better kept indoors ) and again my guessing' the other homestead couldn't attract potential sale value absent a back porch, cause a realtor wouldn't list-it, plus' their is 2 more Acres untouched that would benefit by making access with Culvert or Bridge, and then it could attract maximum potential value ! Problem is Al doesn't have time to spend there and doesn't like to hire someone to do work that he likes doing ! I cannot imagine that high tunnel Greenhouse just sitting empty, for years, so maybe extended Family rents-it, my guess is rented to a trustworthy person from Littleton, it wouldn't make sense for it to be moth-balled and some stuff is still there ( underroof ) whereas equipment on new homestead is still kept outside unprotected from the weather !

@@josephg2553 Joseph; To Al it is all about Modern Homesteading, and being off grid, So buy expensive Solar Array and never spend money on utility bills, then buy and Process Animals, for food, then buy and equip Greenhouses, to feed people and animals, then after building 3 Barns and first Shop after building Shipping Container Apartment and then Harvest House, all in the last Three Years, the underroof for equipment is now higher in priority, just not yet started, hopefully before winter after this Winter, the Shop getting a similar woodburner and wood shed to accommodate heating Shop for this Winter' is ahead of protecting the Tractor who's attachments needs underroof shelter more than the Vehicle itself, because things can easily get buried in Snow or Frozen to ground, All Priorities require scrutiny, it just requires the process of evaluating !
Congratulations on the upgrade you’re getting the power to make a big difference for your equipment. This is the beginning of the journey of farming. I was thinking about the areas that have not been cut, the trees are getting big and almost too big to cut with a brush hog. And if you’re planning to plant anything
Looks like a very nice tractor, but for $50-$60k, it should be. I hear that some RUclipsrs get them free by mentioning and using them on their channel for a certain amount of time, like saying TYM this, TYM that. Best regards.

Not a bad decision, you are planning for the future. I see many are commenting, but after you designed and built a good covering for your firewood, it seems to be a natural progression to build one sized with sides to keep your tractors out of the weather.

Got finally the Schengen visa for my wife
So our adventure can continue 🎉
Creep gear is great for snow blowing. It will save on the clutch
I’ve been waiting for the bigger tractor. I hope you upgrade the equipment on the back so you don’t tear up the 574 equipment. I hope you will build some equipment sheds, I know it can set outside but caring for the equipment will pay off in the future. The haying equipment will need a shelter to protect it but it’s your decision.
It’s always good to have the equipment you need!
Does Gina have a New Tractor for her Secert Garden ??? 😊😊😊
Her tractor is still over at the original homestead... gotta keep something there to take care of the grounds!
@@samvalentine3206
I think your mistaken Sam, ( pretty-sure ) cause the first TYM was traded-in _ traded-up, Gina runs the Kubota tho !
@@4Classie the old property has the mini T25 which is different than the previous tractor traded in.
We're in the money honey ! I first started watching you back when I could be the first to comment !
Good morning 🌅 Saturday in south east UK a bigg😮 tractor 🚜 make big difference
Goooooooooood Morning Uk
I think Gina will enjoy her new 574 tractor.
Nice tractor Al so don't go smashing the door on this one 😊❤
@@richardhart7652 ok I was going to say that but …..lol you beat me to it..sorry Al lol 😂
Nice new tractor. Should make some things easier for sure.
Morning, from Michigan
God bless y'all
Is there something strange or what. I've never heard of filling tires with BEET JUICE, is this a northern thing or what? In California and the south in Alabama we use water.
Goooooooooood Morning Michigan
@@reneebrown2968 yea beet juice won’t freeze
Good morning! Thank you for the blessing! And the Lord bless you as well!
Good morning MICHIGAN 🙏 SE MICHIGAN
Here.
Beautiful tractor AL , I’m sure it will give you many years of reliable service 👍
I remember when you only had the tiny tractor at the old place.
And the Kubota is still around, taking care of lawns/fields, etc. Can't keep an old good tractor down!
Spending a lot of time in a small farming town in Kansas, all my life, I am sure behind times. I have never heard of beet juice in tractor tires.
Good morning Al and Gina! Congrats on the new tractor! Hugs from N.C..❤
Good morning, Marin!
@samvalentine3206 Good afternoon, Sam! I had a tractor lesson today!🤣 but it is so good to see Al's excitement. Now, the fun videos on what he will do with this equipment. Hugs from N.C..❤️
I love your new equipment!!
We're having a heat wave in southern California, and still no rain in sight.
That is sooo awesome that TYM brought you a new tractor!
If it was a gift Tractor' then TYM would have been in the walk-around, pushing their products and address !
So it is qualified as your Jealousy !
Very nice tractor Al. Early Christmas present to yourself. 😁😁You should add a leanto to the side of the shop to park your machines and put attachments under to protect from the weather. Have a blessed Sunday 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
I'm happy that you got a new toy but sorry this video didn't do much for me. I fast forward for most of the video. I'll see you in your next post. Have a good day
See you Tuesday morning
@@paulbuck7356 for not being a farmer ..I’ve learned so much from Al & Gina (cooking those wonderful meals thanks Gina) Al you’ve also taught me carpentry 🪚 too
This video is for information to those who may be interested in possibly buying or upgrading their tractor 🚜.
Kinda interesting to me to see the difference's in the 2 tractors.
Good Morning Gina and Al!! ☕️ 🌻🦋
Congrats on the new tractor. It is great to have the size equipment for the larger jobs you have on this property. I think it might be time for a new pole barn or equipment shed. Too bad Ken is "semi" retired...it would be great to have his help and crew along for a quick build. Y'all have a Blessed weekend.
Love to see your hard work pay off congrats all
Time for an equipment shed to keep out of the weather. My grandfather used to say he never bought a piece of equipment unless he had room under the equipment shed.
Did he ever buy undeveloped land covered with trees like Al did just 3 years ago, ( 500+ Acres ) since Not' then No comparison !
@@4Classiethe point of my comment was this equipment can last a lifetime. My brother has our grandfathers 1968 farmall 656 up at the hunting property still in perfect working order just put in several food plots and it’s kept in the barn.

Joseph; To Al it is all about Modern Homesteading, and being off grid, So buy expensive Solar Array and never spend money on utility bills, then buy and Process Animals, for food, then buy and equip Greenhouses, to feed people and animals, then after building 3 Barns and first Shop after building Shipping Container Apartment and then Harvest House, all in the last Three Years, the underroof for equipment is now higher in priority, just not yet started, hopefully before winter after this Winter, the Shop getting a similar woodburner and wood shed to accommodate heating Shop for this Winter' is ahead of protecting the Tractor who's attachments needs underroof shelter more than the Vehicle itself, because things can easily get buried in Snow or Frozen to ground, All Priorities require scrutiny, it just requires the process of evaluating !
Congratulations on the upgrade you’re getting the power to make a big difference for your equipment. This is the beginning of the journey of farming. The other is lawn and garden maintenance more so than Hay, plowing, and grading. Good job 👍
Well you asked.
If Tractor was a gift TYM would have hogged the camera pushing products and address, Al gets discount, I'm sure, so his explaining earned the farm an improvement !
Congratulations! Now the two of you can race each other, each on a tractor!
Never too old -- A boy and his toys.
Hi, Al. I was watching our Brown family farm, and just wondering, if you guys have ever thought about raising emus! They have so many advantages, one egg. Equals a dozen chicken eggs. They are high quality meat. Their oil and feathers are highly sought After. just one great, all around bird to raise are also extremely docile. Just wondering, if you guys had ever thought about it?
Another is Red Poppy Ranch he just started raising Fallow Deer, takes a tall fence Paddock !
Good morning. Have a great weekend
Good morning, Annette!
Good day Annette! 👍🏾🤩🐶
Goooooooooood Morning Annette
Good mornng Annette! Hope your weekend is great too!
Annette, good morning
Not a bad decision, you are planning for the future. I see many are commenting, but after you designed and built a good covering for your firewood, it seems to be a natural progression to build one sized with sides to keep your tractors out of the weather.
Al and Gina, congratulations on having a new tractor for getting even more work done on the homestead Gina also can run the new tractor 😮😊❤
You need 500 gallon disel tank for farm use fuel.
