- Austin absolutely killed it, with Sebastien Douyon on keyboards. It was discovered later in the evening the piano had been transposed, and Austin dang in a key higher than he intended, but pulled out off without breaking a sweat!

It's his natural build. When he was younger and vainer he worked out a lot but never changed his basic shape. He has a loving gf who makes sure he eats plenty.

He drops certain notes (not because of style change, but because he can not reach the highest notes they can)
They also have much more emotion on every sylable due to pacing and tempo.

@@craiggibbons8228 The keyboard was actually composed to an octave higher than wat he usually sings it in .... so I think he done well ... they didnt realise the keyboard was composed until later when Texas Hill sing with them .... 😇🥰😍🤩😘☺ .... Just letting u know y it was sung so high ... Please dont take offence .... ☺

Drove from LA to Vegas to hear the Righteous Brothers live. I have heard so many wannabe version of this song, and then one Sunday I found Austin. I know listened to his version like 5 times. I love the video with he and Tim splitting the song. Yup, I love, love these guys.

The Home Free version is far inferior to the version Austin recorded on his channel. The heavy robotic doo-wop backing vocals were a bad mistake and went quite against the spirit of this lovely song. If you like it, fair enough, but there is a reason why the HF version has almost sunk while Austin's continues viral.

It doesn't sound a full octave higher than other versions he's recorded. He must have realised immediately that it was in the wrong key but of course a professional can't stop and start again!

Beautifully done but not a patch on Bobby Hatfield's 1964 version.

HOME FREE did this one, as well as Austin recorded it too - both versions are perfections!
The HF version is not nearly as good - Tim had a craze for doowop so everything they did around that time had to be doowop. So this flowing expressive melody was given a heavy turgid arrangement and a weird video (anyone who didn't know anything about the original film would have been baffled). It's hardly surprising that Austin's version is now on over 15 million views whereas the HF version is one of their least viewed

The beard comes and goes, but grows so fast it's difficult to control.
The band had a beautiful stylist/photographer who lived with Austin and he always looked great. Then she dumped him and now he's with a lady who loves him no matter what he looks like. Not sure who is doing the styling now but on one of the band's video shoots there was an older lady doing his hair - clearly management didn't want to risk the same thing happening again lol.

Sebi was certainly stunned, realising that the keyboard had been wrongly tuned! He is a consummate musician so would have realised from the first note he played.
