A friend of mine owns a grocery store. One night she put the deposit bag in the pocket behind the driver's seat. Stopped to grab some gas and car was stolen. They found the car 2 weeks later damaged and abandoned. When she went to see the car the deposit bag was still behind the seat! Over 80K !!! The thieves never looked
I like your video's. I AM from the Netherlands. In the past in work at a car junkyard I have find some good stuff. I can watch IT all day. I AM a new sub. Many greetz from the Netherlands
Good evening, I really enjoy watching your videos, I to old to do anything else. Sorry about the wording. Thank you for taking the time to video from Steve Gullison st.Stephen N.B Canada
You should start a jar and put all the money you find in the jar and at the end of the year or something see how much you collected or my dad use to put it in a piggy bank for us kids but that was when you could buy stuff with a penny
An old freind ran a scrap yard years ago and he would save all the tools found in the cars. When he closed the yard, the wrenches and other things filled a pickup tray. A couple of tons!.
Love videos like this. Always been my dream to own a junkyard and or to have free run of one for a day. Wish I could get to where you are and snatch a rust free 80-86 f150. Trying to restore my 81 short bed and finding a good parts truck is becoming a job. Congratulations on your success, well deserved.
The best change find I ever had was back in 1970, The city of Boston cleaned up hundreds of abandoned cars around the city. I found the yard they brought them to and spent the summer harvesting the change. The cars went back to the 40s up to the early 60s, so the interiors were metal with Phillip screws. I would come out of there with both front pockets full, maybe $10.00 in each.
I love the universal wrench in the Ford PU that u said would make some wild glasses. I LOL when you put them on your nose and they were perfectly set for your eyes
Standard shift knobs are cool. That's what you need to save. Just having a box of various shift knobs. Your vids are popular because of the subject, the experience, how you explain the economics of junking, and watching somebody else's junked auto go off to glory. I hated to see the Studebakers go, but they were absolute junk, and the land is better off with them removed. No go clean up your back woods wrecks and some of the heavily damaged hulks you've saved, and clean the land! I'd also like to know how the stuff sent to the Texas antique show paid off.
The Zenith TV is pretty collectible. It's a white & salmon looking color. It'll be cool if it works. The colorful older TVs are usually more valuable than the solid black or woodgrain ones.
I enjoy watching your videos your camera work and volume is nice you don't ham it up for the camera or constantly tell us how good you are I'm a humble man and I see it in you you were brought up to work for what you have I call it old school
You should put all owners manuals to the side & start slinging them. That's a pretty good Hustle. There are a lot of vehicle owners that would pay top dollar for the manual. I bet once you start doing that you'd be surprised on how much money you make
Im a junker at heart , I love love love get on the excavator and crushing a bunch of yuppie cars, that’s a none. American made in name cars, 1975 and older, lolll, nice 👍 thanks BigAl California praise Jesus grace Christ amen 🙏.

You should pick a random subscriber at 50k at let them come hangout for a few hours and maybe do a treasure hunt and crush a few cars. You are better then any garbage on TV and its awesome to see you taking off.
Science when I'm down and out and feeling sad you're the person that picks me up and and entertains me with your videos have good values you have a wonderful family I wish you the best you're the man keep the good work up thank you for being you
Congratulations on 25K subs, Silas! It's been an absolute blast watching you over the past months as you crush...um......wait. Uhhhhh...is that a casket behind you?
Several of my friends salvage yards save all the keys from cars going to the crusher, both some key fobs got value to other buyers & the rest of the brass keys go into 55 gallon drums, a 55 gallon drum of scrap brass is good money & they do add up quite quickly, bullets go into a brass bucket too ,specifically cartridges & casings as well as live ammunition, the same goes with the found change, much of it is dumped into old compressed gas cylinders with a slit cut into it & every year they cut it open & split the money among the crew members, he doesn't keep it ! & it does really add up quite quickly, & it cannot easily be moved either as its spot welded to a iron beam ,it gets cut off every Christmas season & a new cylinder gets welded up every January
Hey Cy, fire extinguishers, turn, dry powder type upside down and give a tap to loosen powder that will become compacted. Hold it to your ear, youll hear the powder drop when you rap it.
that was a nice pistol cleaning kit you tossed when you found all the ammo. that was your best treasure and I find it hard to believe you dont recognize a gun cleaning kit when you see one
@13:43 I got that very same fire extinguisher 🧯 it's a old General that's made in Virginia, those are very good reliable & refillable fire extinguishers, some are collectable too ! That's probably from the 70's thru the 80's ,my fire extinguisher maintenance company guy wanted one of mine & he traded it for a massive 20 pound ABC dry chemical truck fire extinguisher....PS I like those old school metal reflective mirror flares ,got old NYC police ones from decades ago
I don't mean to sound like an a$$, but any chance of a giveaway of the small, non-valuable stuff? Ex: Keychains, emblems, or even an 8 track? 3:27. I seen that Bullnose from your previous video. It looked like a fancy F-150 with the Ranger trim. Too bad I couldn't buy it from you. Oh well, there it goes!
When they inspect dry powder fire extinguishers here, they just check the pressure gauge, then turn it upside down and hit the side hard with a rubber mallet. The powder settles and compacts some in the bottom, and hitting it shakes up the powder so that it will flow easily. I have found a nice set of jumper cables, tools, and a commercial pet hair dryer that works good. This type of dryer sells for $200, but the cashier charged me $5 or so and rang it up as a heater blower. Congratulations on the 25K.
I am so glad I found your channel Silas. It’s all because I happened across a channel about tons of old cars sandwiched next to each other on concrete and I watched it. Then your channel was recommended to me through that. It was right around when you were doing the big 3 part cleanup. I was hooked and went back and watched all from the beginning. Haven’t missed one! Just something about Silas and his life and adventures that I love!! Congratulations on 25k+! 🎉🍾🎊♥️
Another great video, keep up good job. Thank you for carrying us on another scavenger hunt. Have a great week end a. we are patiently waiting for the next adventure.

Can't explain why i enjoy the RUclipsrs i follow,, other than i enjoy them. As i enjoy yours. You enjoy what you do & that is contagious. You are positive & follow your dream & i respect that. Best stuff was the road reflectors and the Fire extinguisher! I also seen a JVC stereo in one of those cars. Love watching Keep up the good work Silas.
Bahahaha back in Christmas in 2017 when in Virginia I decided to clean out my car looking for change with my friend.....ended up finding over $110 just in quarters & around $40 in mixed pennies ,dimes ,nickels & a few $1 and 50 cent coins ,used that money to cook up a Christmas eve dinner for my friends parents

Hey Silas, I would like to see the tri 5 video with the road graders..... definitely like your channel, when I was a kid, we grew up in Michigan gravel country, my adventures as a kid was seeking out the gravel pit junk piles(after hours of course)....be safe, God Bless!!!!

The the heck , a wooden coffin in the back ground,is that your final resting pin box, lollll, thanks BigAl California.
A penny saved (from the crusher) is a penny earned. Money is money. When it is free from a junk car it is even better. And it adds up really quick.
You should put all owners manuals to the side & start slinging them. That's a pretty good Hustle. There are a lot of vehicle owners that would pay top dollar for the manual. I bet once you start doing that you'd be surprised on how much money you make
I am not watching TV or sports anymore,I am hooked on these videos. I hope he shows more treasures found in the treasures.
Silas you are one of the best. The world needs more people like you. I wish you were closer to the north I'd be all over your yards. Keep it up.
