one of my favourite movies from when I first saw it when originally released in the early 1980s. Excellent trailer - makes me want to watch it again for the hundredth time.
This is an excellently made trailer. I love the slow build at the beginning and how you were able to maintain the tension throughout without showing the Thing itself. Great work. 👍
I love custom trailers that try to rekindle the amazingness of the movie in trailer form, instead of the old cheesy trailers that do a horrible job of the real serious intensity of the film (although those have a place in my heart). You created one of the best ive seen.
Excellent work, it’s a fine line trying to convey the essence of the film without showing too much, which is the biggest fault of most modern trailers, you teased just enough.
Wow! Nice work, that was really cool! The Thing Trailer "we found something" starts off all white, narrows the tile. YOur last frame would be call with that sample "we found something"
Your work is nothing short of fantastic! Watching your trailers has me revisiting these films and sharing these trailers with people who've never seen these films before. Keep up the good work! (If you're taking requests, I'd love to see your take on John Frankenheimer's Ronin).
You are talented. I love this movie so much. This trailer is so fun to watch. It definitly would be their official trailer if The Thing relased in the 21th century.
The downtown cinema shows classic movies on Tuesdays and showing a trailer like these on the weekends during the new releases would definitely get people to show up. So well done it’s amazing Thank you
All you needed was the original tagline: Man is the warmest place to hide. But it should be amended to say "In the coldest place on Earth, man is the warmest place to hide."
I don't think a trailer to The Thing should include the monster that much. Im fine with a glimpse of like the final form, a quick shot of the head growing legs, thats it, no shot of Norris-Thing's stomach opening up, no shot of its stomach tendrels, or its head breaking off from the body, or show Palmer-Thing pulsating and turning
I would have liked to hear more of an alarm effect. Like the Prometheus trailer. Where the alarm starts going off and the scenes start to speed up. Still good though.
John Carpenter’s magnum opus, I know some people say that’s Halloween but Halloween can’t compare to The Thing . For me The Thing is far more suspenseful and creates a perfect sense of isolation and paranoia
I just saw this channel. You should work for movies and do their Trailers, man. Great work. 80s movies are awesome but trailers were not very good, specially with a voice over. This is much better. Movies today add songs to Trailers instead of a Score. I think that sucks and ruins the Trailers. Every now and then it works, like in the first Fast and Furious movies because they use songs in the movie. As a side note: Critics said in the 80s that the Ennio Morricone´s Score for "The Thing" was awful and lazy. I disagree. I think is one of the greatest scores in movie history, specially the theme. Spoiler: Many people don´t know that at the end, Kurt Russell´s character Mac, was infected by the alien virus.
Funny thing…. Just looking at the original trailer…. One of the worst I have ever seen, fantastic film ruined by a rubbish trailer. If this one would’ve been shown at cinemas I’m sure it would’ve been a blockbuster….
Which of u motherfuckers did that!? That was brilliant. That may be my favorite horror movie of all time. The acting was just brilliant, and the cast was fantastic
Must be among the best trailers I've ever seen. Doesn't give away too much, perfect for sharing with friends who haven't seen it
How very kind of you to say, Thank you.
@@MichaelEdwards_Edits I loved the room with the coats and the echoes of what happened in the other room with Palmer. Cool trailer.
I literally just watched this film for the 1000th time about an hour ago and this trailer made me excited to watch it again

Thank you, So glad you enjoyed it
excellent movie, it's a shame the prequel was crap.
I had this on VHS when I was a kid, and I've watched it 100's of times. Absolutely a pure masterpiece of a film 📽️📽️📽️

One of the best horror flicks ever. This trailer is much better than the original, which was awful.
masterpiece of a trailer.
makes me want to watch it again!
This is brilliantly edited. And you played on the popular theory about who's the Thing in the end. Well done 👏
"The Thing"(1982) is a horror sci-fi movie masterpiece! This is an atmospheric, claustrophobic, scary and some moments very creepy movie!
Any jumpscare scenes?
The special FX are just freaking awesome!
One of the greatest action/horror films of all time. I love this film. What a fantastic trailer--well done!
I will now be showing this to my friends who havent seen the movie to intrigue them from now on
Super cool, Thankyou.
Gave me goosebumps. Very well done.
Possibly my favorite movie of all time, and this trailer made me want to watch it again, excellent job brother
This has been my #1 movie ever since I was 9 years old. It's still my favorite movie til this day. Well done!!
I'm from Brazil and I loved this trailer, one of my favorite films.
Greetings. Thank you for watching dude
Excellent work, it’s a fine line trying to convey the essence of the film without showing too much, which is the biggest fault of most modern trailers, you teased just enough.
This is art 👍
Wow! Nice work, that was really cool! The Thing Trailer "we found something" starts off all white, narrows the tile. YOur last frame would be call with that sample "we found something"
That would have been a nice touch.. Thanks, dude.
My fav sci fi movie of all times. Timeless and forever and ever and ever :) Masterpiece doesnt even describe this movie goodness

My pleasure, dude. Enjoy.
This is my favorite Sci Fi Horror film of all time!

InCamera strongly approves of this.

Hell isn’t holy

Actually got goosebumps at that buildup at the end! Well done dude!
Nicely done. What an amazing film.
Really enjoyed this! Makes me want to watch the film again! :)😊
I'm so glad! 😊
I liked how you used some of the narration from the original trailer as the text. Overall, great work!!
Thank you.
As always. Excellent work.
Thank you mate, great to have you back
Love this film and really like this modern trailer. Great work building that suspense!
Really good man. I've got goosebumps! Classic movie, very well presented. Well done!
Legit been waiting for you to remake this one
How did i do?
@@MichaelEdwards_Edits Bruh if this shit dropped in theaters I would be pre-buying tickets asap, haha.
The music score is pretty awesome!
One of the best science fiction films ever made. Top league.
Bravo!!
This is INCREDIBLE!
Thank you.
Brilliant as always
Thanks boss man! Hope you prepared your own meals and ate only out of cans on break!

My new favourite channel
Bravo! Well done! I love it!
Thank you very much!
Well done. Great film
Wow! Great trailer! Bravo!
DAMN SON! FANTASTIC!!
Perfection.
Perfect execution into the title card. Wow. Do a Nightmare on Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors and The Howling please :) Happy Holidays man.
Awesome modern trailer, you should make one modern trailer of the fan film sequel, The Thing Returns 2021.
Terrific job, mate !!!
⭐🤘⭐
Now that's what i call a trailer.....
awesome!
Love it
The downtown cinema shows classic movies on Tuesdays and showing a trailer like these on the weekends during the new releases would definitely get people to show up. So well done it’s amazing
Thank you
I was really expecting to see it fade into the zoom of the Dog-Thing there at the black screen before the title burned in. Great cut overall!
That would have certainly worked, I just try to steer away from anything that could be considered spoilery. Thanks for watching my dude.
keep putting the good work!
Outfuckingstanding work
Outstanding! Keep it up.
Did you make the music as well? This is top notch stuff all around.
Thank you my dude. No, I typically source multiple music tracks, I then chop them up to suit my edit and finally mix in sound design.
@@MichaelEdwards_Edits Oh nice! It's seamless!
All you needed was the original tagline: Man is the warmest place to hide. But it should be amended to say "In the coldest place on Earth, man is the warmest place to hide."
That was tight
Wow
Quality
That's boss.

very good but a little too much text and sound effects
Modern trailers are sucking out all the fear of horror movies.
I would have liked to hear more of an alarm effect. Like the Prometheus trailer. Where the alarm starts going off and the scenes start to speed up. Still good though.
There's a Prometheus style trialer of The Thing if you search for it.
If in Alien you have to stick together to survive, in The thing you cannot trust anyone.

John Carpenter’s magnum opus, I know some people say that’s Halloween but Halloween can’t compare to The Thing . For me The Thing is far more suspenseful and creates a perfect sense of isolation and paranoia
You made this?
I did indeed.
Wait the new Thing Game sort of takes your idea
I did notice silimilarities. Quite flattering if my work was indeed part inspiration. 😊
Mutha Fuckin Thumbs up!👍👍

Panzer III
don't wanna be those guys buuuut we're more fan of the og but good trailer though.
Nope
It's a lot of the same.type of shot with no development
Funny thing…. Just looking at the original trailer…. One of the worst I have ever seen, fantastic film ruined by a rubbish trailer. If this one would’ve been shown at cinemas I’m sure it would’ve been a blockbuster….
What a super kind compliment! Thanks mate.
Great remake, and the movie still is amazing if watching today
