He doesn't like using the term 'friendly fire' because it is a term of war and it exposes the soldiers on public streets which is illegal.
Even more concerning is the tactic of these ~~officials~~ quickly deflecting blame onto an individual with a 'weapon.' It was likely a small knife, yet two officers responded with reckless gunfire, causing harm and suffering to innocent people-in pain and dying. This incident is part of a disturbing pattern, as we've seen in recent cases where the NYPD shot and killed individuals barely armed with knives. Their heavy-handed tactics during pro-Palestinian protests, combined with recent federal investigations into misconduct, underscore the growing issue of corruption and excessive force. Who are these 'officials' trying to fool? This should raise awareness about the need for greater oversight of the NYPD and how costly these actions are for NYC taxpayers (by paying millions in settlements).
Look at 2:25. That knife is definitely big enough to k i l l someone. It was definitely handled poorly by police but I am also sick of activists standing up for criminals. In that case, PO would have had either used taser or took a precise shot at the individual in front of him. And in which case, there wouldn't have been a need for bullets flying all over. If POs are afraid of a knife at a distance of a footbal field, then I am afraid they shouldn't be POs.
