Can Reiki cause spiritual defenses to be lowered? I'm asking cause I had a scary experience last night when I decided to let a reiki playlist run the whole night before I went to sleep. I had been asleep for about 2 hours when I experienced sleep paralysis and felt a presence on the empty side of my bed. It was trying to grab me while I was paralyzed and was making these creepy sounds. I heard a voice in my head telling me to tell it to come back to where it came from, and I did that. It went away shortly, then I woke up and the first thing I did was to turn off the Reiki videos. I always thought it was safe to receive Reiki healing, now I'm not so sure anymore... 😥
Reiki doesn't lower defenses. You may want to check what you did, what you felt and where you went during the day. Also try sensing if anything different happened in your home as well as your neighborhood. All of these can contribute to the experience you felt.
Maybe say out loud before you play them that you only allow loving energy in. In my experience things like that usually only attack like that if you have some unresolved issue that you haven’t healed yet and once you heal it they just leave automatically.

She has ones for releasing trauma, releasing the past, for abuse etc. Look for them and you’ll find them. :)
