Everyone has to remember that Misha mostly drives left hand sided cars with manuals. The fact he is able to drive a short shifter with an unknown car, which is right hand drive, on the Nurburgring for the first time with that car is amazing, so don't give Misha any hate. Think if it was you sitting in that seat. I don't think many people will be able to do that for the first time on a race track.
Thank you!
And the impromptu passenger cam was awesome! Those few corners chasing the BMW really gave a sick impression of speed and intensity, what a drive.
Who cares, we all love Misha
My thoughts exactly. Let alone a racetrack, it feels very weird just driving around the city with an opposite sided car than what you are used to.
Also, he is driving someone's private baby. At least to me it seems like he is often holding back a 5-10% out of respect, even when he's fast. He's not aiming for a lap record after all. Although I'm sure there are several who tell him to just send it :P
Beautiful S2000
Almost 220k km in a s2000 💪 glad to see a car that it's been and it's still being enjoyed. Gosh that car looks proper 🔰🇯🇵
RHD uk car so that miles!!
But the F20C already dropped out...
@@healthiswealth6797 No, it's in kmh.
It's me or this motor are a little bit tired on the very high level
@@healthiswealth6797 on the S2k there is a button to swap it from kph/ mph the shell has done 136k miles
My guy fully understood the assignment when the speedo camera fell off 👌
Yes, that passenger handheld view conveyed the experience very nicely.
I think he got a really good shot. You can clearly watch the speed and watching the shifts also is really cool
im really glad to see someone enjoying his car so much and putting so much time, money and effort into it
It's February, and you STILL have content to put out? How many videos do you have stockpiled from last year? That's dedication!
And that with 1 crashed drive where I lost 30 vids or so :(
Awww no way :(
@@mgcharoudin were those files able to be recovered?
@@blackshaggy CIA and MI5 are working on it... 😉😁
@@mgcharoudincan you tell us what footage of cars you lost?
Still wanting you in a nicely built 260+whp mini Cooper r53s or a 2013 mini Cooper r56 gp2
These mis-shifts are more dangerous than the gr yaris 😂First time that I enjoyed the speedcam dropping cause then we could see you shifting. Still, really nice video and gorgeous engine bay! Shifts were like a motorbike, first gear never ends, then the rest are 30-40 km/h increments each. Loved it cause you had to shift so much due to short gearing and ofc for the heel and toe action
Awesome lap Misha, the S2000 sounds amazing, The mis-shifts wasn't your fault, you're driving a right-hand drive car, so using your un-natural gear change hand, and some cars need getting used to more than others. Nice car you got there fella
Honda's Type-R Cars will always have a soft spot in my heart.
This is the ultimate S2000. The K24 block with K20 head is the best Honda combo
K27 it then be awesome
Not Volk, Advan but still JDM as all hell. Such a beautiful car! Makes me miss my S2K.
Says Advan on the wheel 😁
Dan has built an amazing car! Such a clean build and no expense spared 👌🏻 Real credit to him! 👏🏻 Great video as always 💙
Thanks mate appreciate it 😁👍
Truly sympathise with the miss shifts. I have owned an S2000 for 7 years and it can happen if you aren’t used to it or even have a break in concentration just for a second when shifting. In my opinion you didn’t look like you enjoyed your lap at all which is a real shame as I have been waiting for years to see you drive it and see your impression of the car. I’d love for you to drive another one, get well acquainted with the shifts and take the car to redline every time. It really makes a difference with these high revving engines. I won’t be satisfied until I see you review another one with a big grin from ear to ear coz that’s what the s2000 is all about. Thanks for the vid and can’t wait to see another vid with one 👍🏻
It’s totally a car that requires a lot of concentration, especially for perfect shifts. I’d hate to try RHD shifting on it.
The INDUCTION NOISE OF A K20/24 is something to enjoy. I had one with all Hasport racing motor mounts and it was insane. If you haven’t sat inside on - I recommend you do.
That's actually an F20/22 not a K20/24
@@Phoinix08 Watch the video. It has a k24 swap.. Induction sound sounds better on a f20c imo
@@Phoinix08K series
@@CGM350 Thanks for the Heads up. Interesting swap
This is one fast car man! Love the sound and as always, amazing skills Micha 👍
I actually really enjoyed when the owner picked up the gopro and held it giving the full actual view of the driving position and motions, looks good!!
Hi. Your channel gets more and more exciting for me. This amazing trackday Golf II and now this Honda S2000. My heart beats more for this kind of cars. Old school with manual gear change. The Honda S2000 here looks very nice.
You are an amazing driver, Misha :)
All the carbon parts are looking awesome on this thing
Love seeing Misha driving the s2000. I was able to buy one this past summer and they are so amazing to drive, what an awesome build this guy has though!
Nice misha! Right hand drive is a good excuse for the miss shifts 😂😂 but you still had a smooth and fast lap and felt the characteristics of car i really enjoyed it thanks.
As a former S2000 owner it is good to see you finally get a chance to take one for a lap around the Ring! Nice video Misha!
As a s2k owner. Missing 3rd is better then money shift into 1st.. 🤪. The spacing on the gears are very close. . Car is setup nice. Ap1 have no traction control, no nannies to save you.
amazing sound, love this V-Tec´s !
Gorgeous K-swapped S2k with some exquisite mods🤌🔥 car was flying!
Love ur channel misha! Such a good thing every day another car on the best racetrack in the world ❤
Sweet build. Interesting parts choices with the BC Racing ZRs and K-Sport front BBK, not parts commonly seen on a relatively high dollar build, but they seem to do the job!
Loved the S2000 sicne the F&F days, such a sweet looking car.
I had an s2000 and do not feel bad. Trying to heal-toe it into 3rd took some time. I will go into 5the gear my first couple of weeks. It wasn't the fastest car i'v driven, but it was as good as a go-cart. Fun under control all day long. Donuts in the parking lot and cutting corners at 7000rpm on the road. Wish I still have it.
Man that s2000 is so clean, and well built, plus all good brands, my type of car......
Love the S2000. My mate had one a few years back. Sound so good at 9 thousand. Wicked video.
You guys freaked me out. I thought there was a Money shift in there. When driving a right hand drive manual for the first time in New Zealand, I grabbed the door handle TWICE when coming to a stop.
Never regretted renting a manual econo car. Man that was fun on New Zealand roads. Never had to downshift to 1st in a car in my life but I had to do it there for some steep mountain sections. Man I would love to go back to rent a forced induction car there.
Curious to see what you think of the new Toyota GR86. I would love to see you rip one on the Ring! Love the videos man keep em coming!!!
That engine bay is magnificent, very clean.
MAN that car is amazing, the sound, the looks, so RAW my god!!
I saw this car at castle Combe last year, it's beautiful in person!
Great lap 👌
Thank you 😁👍
nice to see another build that focuses on the drive
Great car, great track, great driver!
Holy Shift Batman!! 😂😮😊
Always a great lap! Thanks Misha
when I saw title I totally knew what was going on, now I finally have a proof it is not just me throwing in 5th instead of 3rd gear on tracks, Grobnik CRO straight (since you know the track ). I miss shifted this car like crazy, also have RHD s2k only car in RHD in my fleet, it has so short throw that everytime you release clutch you are in fear of misshift :D ... I solve my problem with buying Quaife sequntial gearbox LOL - so hopefully now no more miss shifts :D ... nice video nice s2k 👍
All that lifting made You lose the feel for shifting 🤣
I'm surprised You didn't go for another lap once You got the hang of the shifter...
The speedo cam falling off was a blessing in disguise 😁 oh and the car looks and sounds absolutely lovely!
Amazing car, great cameras, great video, and great video! Im glad to see you enjoy your car. My advice is to keep your left foot off the brake before heal-to downshifting. The S2k (F20C or K series engines) rev up and quick, let your right foot do the braking and left foot on the clutch. Hope you have many more fun laps!
Cool to see how you improved during the lap. It‘s definitely not an easy car to master instantly, takes some time to really get the full potential out of it. A less understeering setup would suit the car better if you are fast at the steering
Honestly when I’ve driven S2000 I’ve mis shifted every time - there is something about the gear change which coming from an MX5 background is rather unusual and is something a short shifter exacerbates. It almost feels like a binding from gear to gear and this combined with the high strung engine makes for a stressful driving experience but you handled it very well Misha!
All S2000s seem to be praised for their shift when casual road driving by car journalists but after any intensity is added it can be a real inconvenience..
It needs to be pushed with light force, and allowed for the shifter to just drop in. Can't "throw it" into the gear. Therefore if you shift fast and tend to just let the clutch foot out with what you think is the proper rhythm, it may happen. You have to treat it with mechanical sympathy and take .5 sec more into each gear to get it to "drop" in.
Great car and super-chill owner. Love it!
So small car, but so brutal to drive! Amazing
Amazing S2k with rusty patina. One of the best feeling gerarbox shifter in the World 😀 every misshift i feel aaahhhh. Maybe you show us one Day an Stock + lhd AP1 and DC5 and NSX🙏😁
You can't go wrong with a Honda great drive 👌 👏
👊🙏one love
This engine is perfect, because honestly, the F20C is not really a pleasure to daily drive (still good for any highway toll outlet). K24/K20hd is perfect.
What a champ - kept filming. 🍓🥰
The accident with the cam produced a gearshift pov. Just to appreciate more ur misshifts 😈
Have been waiting for a S2K video, would love to see more.
As an S2K owner myself it hurts me a bit seeing you shift so early instead of revving it out where all the power lies.
But great driving as always!
It's k24 so only revs to 8300 rpm
Good old K series Frankenstein build. :) K24 bottom, K20 head. Good choice.
Lovely s2000, at 2.03 I noticed quite a lot of rust on the wheelarch.
Love some high RPM NA power. Looks like a very fun car for the 'Ring.
You would master that shifter with time. Even though it was painful to watch it's no biggie :). Really liked the car though. Those older high reving engines is something I truly miss from todays low reving cars.
What a nice track weapon Misha...bet that was a blast!
it will be really nice to see you drive an NA1 honda/acura nsx on nurburgring someday btw gr8 vid and really nice s2k
Would love that!
Let them hate, who cares!
And when it comes to your driver excuse(s) I think there is only one that applies to all of your videos and that people really miss that one or do not comprehend it. In majority of your videos, you basically take cars that you have never driven before and you push them hard through the Ring, most people have problems with driving a new car for the first time in normal street conditions, and here you do the exact opposite without issues or some small issues, this goes to show who is the boss driver! Keep killing it and it was a great lap!
Thank you!
I've miss-shifted a few times when I got mine, so don't feel too bad, at least those weren't money shifts!
As an s2000 owner myself that uses it on track a lot and plans on bringing it to the ring this one is beautifully set up 👌would love to know more on spring rate, tire sizes and geometry. I also plan on putting K24 crank into mine and keeping it NA
Tyres are nankang ar1 235 45 17 front/ 255 45 17 rear spring rate are 14kg front 12kg rear. Set up is only 2.2 deg front and around 2 deg rear 5 deg caster front and 0 toe all round but this set up was done to create less oversteer! Didn't want to take any unnecessary risks hence the thicker arb. Most fast cars I see at the ring are more understeer biased
@@daniellawrence8876 thanks for the information. I’ve got a Mfactory 1.5 way plated lsd with 4.44 final drive, it’s extremely stable with this setup and doesn’t snap over steer anymore the difference is huge I was planning on getting an anti roll bar for the front but the way it’s set up now I don’t think I even need one! I’m running only 215/45 17s AD08rs but once there wore down I plan on going a lot wider like yours, I’m new to the s2000s so still learning.
@@Andrew-xz8yp just build it bit by bit they are an amazing car to grow with as they provide so much feedback!
Wow, that thing flies, but Misha is correct, the handling is perfect! Never loses rear end grip when the AMG HAMMER motor is screaming!
Such an Amazing car and build.
It’s crazy that the fact Honda used this same Dash setup for there RC51 V-Twin sportbike (it beat Ducati!) is pretty cool 👌🏾
Awesome! Honda sure makes epic cars.. Did Misha just miss the fact this is a K series?
owned a s2k back in 2002 :-) and an EP3 in 2004
memories rise up
Having a foot cam to watch the rev matching, takes this vid to the next level!!
Dream car. Love it.
Surprises me how well the AR1's are doing on a lighter car.?
I've heard they are better on heavier cars.
Man’s took the best part of the s2000 away too many k swaps these days imo
👍The torque trade off? Plus K24s are cheap if you blow them.
@@TamagoHead This. No sane person swaps a working f20/22 out, there is a REASON. Cost of further replacement is usually high up the list.
@@TheChannel1978 and over40hp from low to mid gain over f series piles
@@TheChannel1978 I wouldn’t either! But to each their own😋
Sounds great, also a good looking car!
Hate it when my knob keeps falling back out too!
Was braced for a money shift at some point lol
I'm roasting you like none other... NOT! Tnx for showing a really nice ride with someone who took some effort to set it up nicely. Carry on... 👌
Perfect time on the clock 4:20 lol love the videos bro
Excellent as per usual 👏
Lovely motor ❤
Suspect a second lap would’ve been much much better
The steering rack in my FN2 type r does the full stiff mode when it's under heavy load too
What a machine.
Great call of that dude recording Misha shifting through the gears. I really like that POV of recording. Maybe do it once in a while please 🙏🏼 but still amazing driving though. Happens to us all
Even in stock form that car is a blast to drive, this one must be very fun to drive, specially around the ring. A bit sad tho, to not see a 9000rpm screaming f20 under the bonnet.
Those are Advan RZII wheels. I have them on my little Honda Logo. Also have a S2000 made for the ring..
That’s a weapon! I love it! ❤️
What a car...amazing! 😍
Damn manifold & intake.....tastefully done 😳
Can't get enough of that honda sound!
Great driving Misha, cool as a cucumber as usual!
Wow, this thing is perfect
watching you all the way from kenya 💯
Awesome!
i've seen it irl when i was on the Nurburgring this summer. i even came to apex to say hi but nobody was there :((
Live the view of the shifting. I'm always wondering which gear you're in.
This was my first car, loved it!!
Wow it sounds good 👍
What a car!😍
Don't worry Misha, the only place in the world where perferct drivers who never misshift exits is YT comment section😁
really enjoyed gear shift cam
Mooie auto, mooi gereden. Volgende modificatie, een niet te missen schakel systeem op de versnellingsbak.
Good lap, great car!
You need to do another s2000 or redo this one again because you could have driven way more relaxed and use the track and showed how that car really could have performed!!
love the Honda and the drivings skills are super of this man...☢☢☢
Bad lap but good car. The setup is overall very good. Just a pity for the too small rear brakes and the average quality tires. On a beautiful project like this, you have to install high quality tires. It is important.
Tbh I think they are pretty decent for the money. Dunlop or A052 are big money but not far behind in turms of lap times. Where say r888r are off the pace for the same price. The weight of the ar1 is its biggest down fall! As for the brakes I run pbs race all round and the balance is brilliant rear doesn't quite lock up first and pad life is great. Personally I can't see it being a cost effective option for running a bigger set up on the rear!
@@daniellawrence8876 Like you, I started by installing an AP Racing 328mm big brake kit only at the front. It was good but not perfect. Later I installed a larger 325mm disc behind with an OEM caliper shim. It's not expensive and the braking balance is much better.
I tested several semi-slick tires and the Yokohama A052s are amazing. Faster than Michelin Cup 2 or TOYO R888R.
@@Xav_S yeah they will be quicker than them ar1 around a second and half quicker over r888r around a 1.15 track.. Not sure what the a052s are but they are double the price in my size.
As for braking I went from running same pads on stock calipers front to rear and the rear over brakes, then using a less harsh compound in the rear and it was quite equal. I then got ksport 8 pot kit with more aggressive pads in the front to the back and found that it needed more braking at the rear, so now run the pbs race front and back and the balance I found is spot on. I'm yet to run ducting to my brakes so will do that and see how it changes things I'm hoping it will just increase pad life and not change the balance.
@@daniellawrence8876 With my setup, I use the same pads at the 4 corners.
Looking forward to meeting you one day ;-)
@@Xav_S yeah same here and do you go to the ring often?
My k20 civic started spewing oil from an oil cooler line on my way to work on Friday, hopefully I'll have it fixed tomorrow
14:22, No need to excuse yourself Misha. You did great.! 👏😂
Other than the mis-shift, you drove that S2000 great 👍
