      Sand will help him, the track is hard packed and once the sun hits it over race day, it will dry out even more, web doesn’t like hard packed, he has bad results due to it.

    Broc is super-friendly and even chatted me up at a Pala event two years ago, talking about some idea that he wanted to incorporate into the event that got denied that day.

    Nick…. I was surprised to see his mug here because I forgot about him. What a world of insight he obviously has.
    I couldn’t help but notice how fit Broc and Nick look post MX careers. Then I thought about other former pros.
    Unlike most post career athletes, our MX hero’s tend to stay fit afterwards.
    Nick and Broc are healthy looking examples of our sport.

    Well, if it is not going to rain at all, at least the track sounds soft enough to rut up well. Too bad the speeds are so fast, (and faces of jumps are not fun to land on), that 20 guys are constantly injured, even on smoother tracks. What was it that made the speeds so fast again starting in 1997 on our tracks? Anybody remember?

    If the sport is doing so well, (great question for Nick Wey), why is it that Michigan, (was probably the #2 state in the nation for producing factory riders), has not produced a factory rider since Kelly Smith over 2 decades ago?

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA Месяц назад

      Because of 1986 production rule and the EPA forced 4-strokes on the industry, the masses can't afford to ride and race anymore (government land closures a equal part too), made the sport unassailable for the masses. Only pretty well to do families can compete now, (just as moral, but just as last).
      We all know the sport was 10 times bigger in sales, (with only about 60% of the population today),---when we were free to build it and run it, and own it. It was ours.
      Such intervention damages/destroys every industry that we the more free people built for ourselves. The results are in word wide.

    Broc and the "track walk", has to include an interview and lengthy discussion for the track walk. Because the tracks are all so similar, just explaining the little differences would only take the time of 2 laps. What is the biggest little difference? You can use 2 or maybe 3 jump combos in this rhythm section, and if you don't make a mistake, they are all the same speed.". I miss the days where greatness could be great (sans Jett today, amazing), and the winner had the most skill. Today, with only 3.7 seconds separating 1-20 (last main in philly), it is not about the most talent for a fast lap. But who makes the least little mistakes, and is the least of a mental basket case.

    too many flat 180s this week and last week. the whoops have been easier than normal all year, and now you can't even blitz the first set of the year that looks like it will hold up because you end up going wide on a flat 180 without a berm to make-up for that extra track. iunno. I didn't like watching riders tip toe after the whoops last week, and it looks like more of the same here.

    I've never heard the word "obviously" used anywhere else so consistently than in supercross. It's pretty funny and annoying.
    But at least we now know where Captain Obvious got his start.
