Goodness the stewed cassava leaves served over rice with lightly toasted whole pealed potatoes served in this super delicious broth. When I got back to the states my told me that I should have gotten the recipe. Talk about being pissed. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!

Zimbabweans fell in a trap of sharing negativity bout their country. I think they thought everyone was on their side. They did not know people knew little about zim in the first place. So the negativity stuck. Zimbabwe is an amazing country. One of the best countries l have been to.

I was telling my Ghanaian friend that Southern African countries are the best in Africa, and he didn't believe me. He was bragging to me that Ghana was the best, and I told him that Central and West Africa have the driest countries in the world. Zimbambwe, Namibia, Botwana, Lesotho, and South Africa are super clean. And if you live with the theme, you will notice that they don't have the mentality of the West and Central Africa. They don't travel much, and they are comfortable with their country.

Wow that's awesome. Bantu languages are very closely related. It didn't take me long to learn basic Swahili in London with my Kenyan friends. It's similar to Shona language of Zimbabwe 💪😎
Peanut butter soup, it’s basically what we call groundnut soup in parts of Nigeria. The swallow in Nigeria is called Tuo massara mostly in northern Nigeria, there’s also Tuo shinkafa (made with rice), there’s also gari (made with cassava) and fufu (made with cassava) then pounded yam. This is relatively similar around Africa. Just different names
We have peanut stew in Zimbabwe too, you can make it with any meat, chicken, beef. I think the West African reference to 'soup' is what threw my brother and sister. In Zimbabwe soup literally means soup. The type that is prepared and eaten alone, usually as an entree in western cuisine. In Zimbabwe what you call soup, we call stew.
We don't have cassava at all in Southern Africa. Im 49 years old and have never seen or eaten cassava my whole life Of course some Zimbabweans might know it but 99% dont

Shona is just like TSHILUBA language (DRC) : Rice = Loosa or Mupunga, Goat = Mbuji / Mbuzi, Meat = Nyama, I'm hungry = Ndi ni nzala, Name = Djina, Stone = Dibwe. THANKS !!
ONE group of Zimbabweans passed through DRC during bantu migration another group passed through Tanzania...we are one people. Its only that some of our ancestors chose to settle and some proceeded further southwards
@wodemaya the fufu you guys make with cassava and mix with plantain,, we make something similar but its mixed with maize and we call it Nni oka. But the one with only cassava is called fufu for (Igbo/calabar people - Eastern Nigeria) we also call it akpu (white in color) and other tribes in Nigeria enjoy it. Pounded or poundo yam (made from yam), Amala ( brown or white in color is made from dried yam or plantain) Yoruba - western Nigeria, Tuwo Shinkafa (from rice), Tuwo masara (frm corn flour) Northern Nigeria, Starch known as Usi (from cassava) southern Nigeria Semovita/Semolina/Semo is (from wheat) (general for Nigerians) Garri or Eba (from cassava) general for all Nigerians We also pound red cocoyam and wheat (fufu) though not common. There's oatmeal fufu (from oat) All these swallow can go with any soup. Comment your fufu or swallow if similar.

I was telling my Ghanaian friend that Southern African countries are the best in Africa, and he didn't believe me. He was bragging to me that Ghana was the best, and I told him that Central and West Africa have the driest countries in the world. Zimbambwe, Namibia, Botwana, Lesotho, and South Africa are super clean. And if you live with the theme, you will notice that they don't have the mentality of the West and Central Africa. They don't travel much, and they are comfortable with their country.

@@brofutv1853 That is what we call Fufu in Congo, but in west Africa fufu is pounded cassava mixed with plantain or yam. So sadza=ugali=shima=pap=Congo's fufu=funge

Wow that's awesome. Bantu languages are very closely related. It didn't take me long to learn basic Swahili in London with my Kenyan friends. It's similar to Shona language of Zimbabwe 💪😎
Sure, We also call goat "mbuzi" in Swahili
Peanut butter soup, it’s basically what we call groundnut soup in parts of Nigeria. The swallow in Nigeria is called Tuo massara mostly in northern Nigeria, there’s also Tuo shinkafa (made with rice), there’s also gari (made with cassava) and fufu (made with cassava) then pounded yam. This is relatively similar around Africa. Just different names
We have peanut stew in Zimbabwe too, you can make it with any meat, chicken, beef. I think the West African reference to 'soup' is what threw my brother and sister. In Zimbabwe soup literally means soup. The type that is prepared and eaten alone, usually as an entree in western cuisine. In Zimbabwe what you call soup, we call stew.
We don't have cassava at all in Southern Africa. Im 49 years old and have never seen or eaten cassava my whole life

Shona is just like TSHILUBA language (DRC) : Rice = Loosa or Mupunga, Goat = Mbuji / Mbuzi, Meat = Nyama, I'm hungry = Ndi ni nzala, Name = Djina, Stone = Dibwe. THANKS !!
ONE group of Zimbabweans passed through DRC during bantu migration another group passed through Tanzania...we are one people. Its only that some of our ancestors chose to settle and some proceeded further southwards
@wodemaya the fufu you guys make with cassava and mix with plantain,, we make something similar but its mixed with maize and we call it Nni oka. But the one with only cassava is called fufu for (Igbo/calabar people - Eastern Nigeria) we also call it akpu (white in color) and other tribes in Nigeria enjoy it.
Pounded or poundo yam (made from yam), Amala ( brown or white in color is made from dried yam or plantain) Yoruba - western Nigeria,
Tuwo Shinkafa (from rice), Tuwo masara (frm corn flour) Northern Nigeria,
Starch known as Usi (from cassava) southern Nigeria
Semovita/Semolina/Semo is (from wheat) (general for Nigerians)
Garri or Eba (from cassava) general for all Nigerians
We also pound red cocoyam and wheat (fufu) though not common.
There's oatmeal fufu (from oat)
All these swallow can go with any soup.
Comment your fufu or swallow if similar.
