Just like psychedelics, weed can affect you hard man. It changes your thoughts and your perceptions of reality and when you're not in a good state of mind it can force you going deep into introspection and some people cannot handle it and it sticks with them. People gotta know themselves before experiencing something like psychedelics or weed "trips". If you never questioned your life, your surroundings, or yourself when you're sober, what makes you think taking any kind of drugs would help? I think some people think they need to always be in control of everything and when they take drug they lose this capacity and it messes with their brain.
Which is why it's important to understand the risks and benefits BOTH before taking it. Some people have issues, many others get benefits. Education and self choice one way or the other is what this about.
@@miavatarful I been smoking daily for over a decade. Haven't found any severe side affects except for I can tolerate things that would normally take me out of character
Ive had PTSD from the Iraq war in 2003. I was shot a couple times. I forgot what being happy felt like. I started CBD in October 2019. It's changed my life. I live now. It's worked for me.
I think bad weed trips can be caused from stress/anxiety a lot of the time and not just pre-disposition to very serious mental illnesses. When I first started smoking in High School I had some of the best times of my life but when I graduated the pressure from college, family, friends, work, and pretty much life started to hit me and I got extremely overwhelmed and had bad trips I eventually decided to take a break from smoking to focus on my shit. I seriously don't think weed is as harmful as some may put it, it just keeps you in tune with yourself and makes you think.
This is literally what happened to me. I'm in my sophomore year of school right now and can't smoke weed at all, I just start worrying too much and it feels like I'm twice as stressed as usual.
dluciano sounds like my story exactly, man. One time I smoked and it literally made me realize I was becoming dependent. Responsibility always comes first
Finally someone said it. My 1st time having Marijuana was 24 years old. It induced extreme anxiety. And still always does. Even worse on my 30's. It makes me 4x more aware of what I am saying, my facial expressions, and feelings. I cannot go in public otherwise, everyone is looking at me. And I am aware people are really looking at me. One positive thing it does is that it makes music 4x better. If i have a pair of headphones, it feels like I have full control of a symphony. Playing call of duty, I am an assassin and I really am the character of the game. But the bad outweighs the good. The anxiety is so bad now, I can't make eye contact with anyone. Thank you for reading.
I had the same exact experience, It is dependent on your overall mood going into it. You probably started a chain event where you always assume you will get anxious from weed. Doing this only makes it 100% true. You will get anxious every single time.
Did this dude really say they've only been talking about the positive benefits of weed? They still teach in highschool that weed is as dangerous as heroin and is the #1 "gateway" drug. Ridiculous.
EXACTLY! "For 20 years people only heard was the positives?? Really? C'mon now...My kids are still being taught 1980's old danger, scare tactic propaganda....
As someone who has smoked for 10 years, admittedly I started when I was 11 and I'm now 21, I have stopped THC after I began to experience pretty high anxiety even after being a habitual user so I switched to CBD flower to help with sleep and it's the best decision I've made. I'm not using CBD everyday as I'm trying to clean myself up for a job but it's a great alternative and I highly suggest it for anyone who is experiencing similar issues. I love cannabis and always will. My relationship with the herb is different now and I'm thankful for it. God bless anyone who may come across this old video and if you're young and reading this like I was when I started I would suggest holding off as long as you can.
I don't even know why they're that compared. Fact: I can drink myself to death in almost every town across the US. Whereas I can not do the same with weed ingestion or consumption. Take all factors out but the scientific fact of what I just said. That's all that needs to sink in.
I’ve been dealing with a 20+ year addiction to alcohol. This year in Illinois marijuana was legalized and I planned to switch alcohol with marijuana. More than 3 days without alcohol was unusual for me as I usually drank every other day like clockwork for all of those years. I did the switch in early Jan of this year, and to my surprise it worked. I am now going on 90 days sober (from alcohol) for the first time ever since I started drinking. Guys, I’m being real with this. If you have the addiction like I did, please consider marijuana as a way to get sober from alcohol. Nothing worked for me over all those years. Since day 1 of smoking, not 1 alcohol craving in nearly 90 days. I’m in shock that this worked, but it has. Do keep in mind, stopping drinking cold turkey can be fatal. That is no joke. Please consider this and work with your doctor if need be. But, I am alcohol free today and so far marijuana has saved my life. It’s still early, but sober for almost 90 days, it’s a miracle. I hope it can be for others too.
my last alcohol experience involved cannabis vaporized next day to heal the hangover from the alcohol .. that was my last experiment with the stuff too
@@Mace-1191 thanks. And yes, still alcohol free today with no interest in alcohol. I’m In year 3 of sobriety and feel great. Turned into a fitness nut, so that’s my new hobby. Glad to hear you doing well. For me, I just wanted to do today just like yesterday. Tried not to think about it, out of sight out of mind. Once you get x number of days sober, your mind switches. It’s like a belief change, then no more addiction. The mind says, ok I guess I actually don’t need this. I’ll stop worrying about it then.
@@ThaTrumpGuy that’s awesome! 7 days is an accomplishment. The way I thought about it is just do today like I did yesterday. Alcohol is out of site out of mind. No reason to think about it. Have fun with weed, watch tv, etc… enjoy it! The mind needs a buzz, that’s all. Weed will suffice. Have fun, don’t over think it.
Gavin Truex what’s more unrealistic is him saying the thc amount compared to alcohol amount. I have smoked A LOT of weed. And, I’ve never gotten as unreliable as I am on alcohol. One reason I hardly drink.
Stupid people, people with a violent personality (that they may need to control in their day to day life) and people with a bad attitude will have those parts of their personality amplified. .... So, yeah, alcohol affects people in very similar ways. It's not because someone isn't acting in a certain way that they aren't truly that way. Controlling one-self is actually a thing. Alcohol just helps break that self-control. ... though, there are outliers.
I agree.. I would say alcohol is consistent.. if it makes you weepy or happy that’s consistent.. if it makes you an angry asshole, that’s also consistent

@FRANK THE ZULU Alcohol is actually healthy for you unless you over indulge. Weed I don’t think ever provides actual health benefits besides treating symptoms or pain
people need to learn how to experiment with drugs.... you don't take 1000 mg on your first go, take ten or twenty mg and see what happens,.nothing is good for you in excess.
Also, people should not consume weed for their first 20 times using edibles. Period. Thats how it gets a bad reputation, because uninformed people go too far!
I was high for 2 years straight, I loved it so much I never allowed myself to be sober. This seemed put me in a different reality. I perceived everything in a spiritual way. In many ways this is good, you are able to see the vanity and nonsense everyone gets caught up in. When people would take something to seriously I would just laugh. The bad part for me is it slowed my thinking down and my memory was effected as well. If I were to start back up again I would slow it down and pace myself.

@@adriancabrera3191 every time joe or somebody else brings up edible marijuana, joe mentions that it produces 11-hydroxy metabolite “which is 5x more psychoactive than normal thc”
I had anxiety-induced insomnia. It's a terrible feeling to be afraid of going to sleep. You really do get to the point where you will try anything and pay any price for just a little restful sleep without jolting awake every ten minutes. CBD helped to get me to calm the hell down so that my body could do what it needed to do.
@@JokerJay1990 It was like every time I was about to drop off I'd get a jolt of adrenaline, like a shock of electricity. Another thing that helped was a podcast called _Sleep With Me_ where the host tells long, boring, nonsense stories, which distracted me long enough to fall asleep.
Is there a medical term for this because what you just described happens to me almost every night to where I'm about to fall asleep and this jolt of adrenaline hits me so bad that I shake for a second kind of like a mini seizure. I thought I was the only one but that exactly what happens is the huge hit of adrenaline my heart goes crazy and for a couple seconds I'm in this confused state of panic I hate it.
@@JokerJay1990 The first thing I would recommend is getting seen by a trained professional. What you describe is not normal, and a medical doctor or psychiatrist might be able to help you figure out why it's happening and how to deal with it. Until then, definitely look into the _Sleep With Me_ podcast. The host tells long rambling stories to distract you so you can fall asleep. It's free and there are hundreds of episodes. It sounds too easy, but trust me, it works. I leave it running all night so if I wake up my brain has something to focus on besides panic. You aren't the only person to experience this, and there are different ways of managing it. Stay calm and strong, and you will find a way through it.
Floating Goose this is the new trend. I love seeing the “Joe “joe rogan” Rogan”. It’s a logical conclusion point for the Joe “*insert text*” Rogan meme. The only place to go from there is down. Not even referencing what he’s saying anymore. That’s what kills a meme. Joe “Scooby got Waves” Rogan
Edibles cured my depression. I used to be super depressed for like 4 years and and at the beginning of 2020 I went to a weed farm, ate a fuck ton of edibles like everyday for 2 weeks and when i came back home I was good. Now im awesome
Why is weed being treated so different from every other drug ever? Everyone reacts differently to different substances? why are we taking such a crazy look into what other people put in their bodies, I don't think it's a debate on whether "WEED IS GOOD OR BAD" I think its that its not up to the government to decide whether or not I can.
For me, only using CBD makes me care less and act more. It makes me more social and makes it easier to talk to someone I don't know. A month or so after smoking CBD, it helped me quit my job and make up a roadplan of where I want to go with my life... It doesn't make it easier, but it makes it more clear :-)
Here's the thing...it isn't the drug that makes you go crazy. It just removes the filter that is normally there and suddenly people realise...life is beautiful but hard. We may have many amazing moments but life eventually ends. We grow old become Ill lose people we love before passing ourselves. That's really what is happening. Not everyone can handle that reality.
Nah man I don’t think it’s that deep😂😂I don’t see my boys and half my high school getting all depressed because they smoked and had a “revalation”, we just have fun. I mean I get sad drinking, does that mean it removes the filter and shows me my true sad life? Nah
Yeah its because modern weed has an unnatural THC to CBD ratio. CBD takes the anxiety out of the high. I heard from others that taking CBD with THC stops the high but that isn't true in my experience, I still get high as f*ck, but the anxiety is controlled. Has to be a higher amount of CBD than THC like nature intended ;)
Same here man, you might have PTSD from previous experiences with it - I have PTSD from cannabis withdrawals, I was in the hospital with my insides failing on me because I hadn't ate in 5 days, barely probably had a pint of water in me the whole 5 days and I could have died. People have died from cannabis before, look up cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, I nearly died because of that. Never touched weed again. It deserves to stay illegal if you ask me.
Yes.. of course... some people are affected stronger or even different... In my 61 years on earth... 45 smoking marijuana... I have met probably 2 people who couldnt handle marijuana... I have known maybe 3 others who just didnt care for the effects. Now... should I tell you how many had the same response about alcohol? Because you go to a medium size dance club and I promise you can find more people who have had adverse effects from alcohol in one night, then you have found in marijuana in your life. Some people are allergic to marijuana. But no one has died from it. People die from alcohol POISONING every day.
Are you sure you're not confusing Indica and Sativa..? No disrespect intended, just something to consider. Indica is much stronger and is more likely to give you that "wheelchair" effect. Sativa is much more mellow and lets you remain highly functional. CBD (sans THC) has no "high" effect to it, so it's a much different type of thing.
@@bateriayvr8988 yea it's true CBD doesnt have any psychoactive properties but it does have a very calming effect and it lifts my mood up as well. Just makes me feel better. I've tried Indicas and sativas before, they all give me anxiety attacks lol.
@@SJROCKA Yeah fair enough. As with all things, it's beneficial to just stick with what works for you and to be a little cautious when experimenting with something new. Good to hear you found out what works for you!
It doesn't mean makes everyone angry or upset or whatever, it means as a whole, the actual feeling. Whereas weed can effect people in different ways, some can't smoke it because it might make them to paranoid and another person might not get paranoid but instead feel quite happy and relaxed. You need to think slightly deeper in what it actually means .
@CheapoBrand FruitPunch weed is probably the most opposite thing to alochol I mean opposite sides of the spectrum. Ever heard of anyone talking deep and extremely hyper aware about their actions after a few shots? I didn’t think so only speak when you have knowledge on the topic otherwise you are just bsing
Slap Chop yes a guy went to the hospital for 4 days after doing one drag from my pipe lol so i know it wasn’t laced or anything. Also knew someone who used to get seizures from weed so they started doing hard drugs lol
i personally have wanted to hurt myself because the anxiety attack was so horrible and i was trying to stay connected to real life. but like you said everyone is different
For 90 percent of you commenting on here, Joe didnt flip flop on his weed stance. He was acting as a moderator for a debate, also he was still biased in his role as moderator because he was very pro pot throughout the debate. Also watch the damn podcast if you want to have opinions about it! Nothing wrong with hearing both sides of something and trying to use reason to understand the points both side makes. Yall are impatient, stop judging a 3 hr conversation based off a 15 minute clip.
For some reason people are convinced listening to a different opinion means you're weak or 'flip-flopping'. Not just in this debate but public discourse has deteriorated to the point people refuse to acknowledge that a different opinion may actually help them
I can attest to weed giving you really horrible anxiety attacks. I never had anxiety attacks before I smoked. But on the other hand, I had really nice experiences with marijuana. I hate when druggies insist that there's nothing wrong with weed. Some people have good experiences, some people have a really bad time with it, and it's not just people with mental problems.
Dude... I’m still High, from a single 150mg cookie that I ate yesterday. Took it at 6:30pm and I went to bed at 12am, woke up at 8:30am and was still Stoned for several hours.
I can't stress it enough but responsibility is key, it applies to more than using just intoxicants. It applies to pretty much everything, the food you eat, the way you dress, what you choose to do as a career, how you engage with people. Responsibility goes a long way folks
I used to think weed had no negative affects and now after smoking constantly for the last few years I've noticed a decent decrease in my sharpness and motivation, I definitely have less motivation and I can't think as quickly on my feet as I used to be able to, I have more trouble thinking of certain words when I'm trying to convey more abstract ideas or thoughts. There definitely is a downside to smoking especially before your brain has had a chance to fully develop like me.
@Cayenne Captain bro weed has negatives exactly as he described. if you start young itcan really have bad effects on the brain if you dont give it a break
@Cayenne Captain a cancer patient's relationship with marijuana is not the same as a regular person who clearly sees negative effects in their life. over generalizing
Listen I smoke a ton of pot, it’s my favorite hobby.... but dude unless you are legit medical carded up I hate when people say it allows me to do x or y, self medicating isn’t a good thing. I used pot for a while just to ease my depression, it worked, then I went on a tolerance break and the thoughts returned but also went away as a sober me solved my issues. People can’t use it to run away from problems because it’s just that, and then that sorta becomes a stress when you run outta bud. But hell if you got a card go at it homie, getting stoned rocks.
@@MarkWalmsley Yeah alright Mark cobber we're talking about mental issues then. What about alcohol induced psychosis; which makes up the vast, vast majority of substance-induced psychosis cases? (and no it's not just because of the greater prevalence of alcohol, because compared to other substances it dramatically overrepresents itself statistically relative to the number of users) What about the risks of Korsakoff's syndrome, alzheimers syndrome and brain and nerve damage. Like yes the risk of psychosis from weed is prevalent and real, very much so. But if you're framing this as a purely mental health argument, alcohol is far more destructive. That's not even considering the social repercussions of alcoholism and how it affects the people around you and their mental health, I'm sure OP can attest that by far this is one of if not the most destructive realities of alcoholism, if not the most, and is indeed a mental issue
@@jackeldridge1319 listen man we can talk about all sorts but right now we are talking about what weed can do to people and the fact Rogan has decided to warn people on his huge platform, rather than totally dismiss anyone who says anything negative about weed. That's what I call my bong because 1 fat hit is all I need to be silly high. Also as I've gotten older I only smoke a couple times a week, that definitely helps with tolerance because I want that slap✋ to the face when its time to smoke.😂
I used to make fun of people who smoked one hitters in highschool while I smoked 3 blunts. Now all I smoke is one hitters and I get super paranoid if I smoke more than a few
Iv got an active job and alcohol started kicking my arse more the older I got felt groggy for more days and lost weekends, decided to chuck it & start puffing again luckily I only need a small taste the night before my day off and I am good feel relaxed but still competent and I don't lose any time and feel much better for it.
Problem with edibles is that they have a very delayed response to the brain. Most people don't dose correctly and keep taking in edibles until they feel high, like they're smoking a joint. Then it all kicks in at once and they go into a state of shock which can really mess with your brain because you weren't ready for it.
I had a weed dependency for just under 2 years smoking everyday all day and it caused me severe depression anxiety etc.. felt like I wasn’t in my body but I couldn’t stop because I genuinly was addicted, I don’t think it’s fair to say it isn’t addictive or harmful I think it effects different people in different ways!
“When people smoke too much weed and say, ‘Oh no, I’m too high, I’m paranoid,’ what they’re really saying is, ‘The weed is showing me parts of myself I really don’t feel like dealing with right now.’”
@@Dingbobber true i think it makes you feel anxious in general, then people say oh it's showing you what you're anxious about... but its really just making you feel anxious.
Also calling bullshit on the "4 weeks" rule, I quit smoking for 5 weeks and when I started again it was NOTHING like when I first started, it was a BIT more intense then when I'm just smoking on the regular bit definitely nothing like my rookie year lol
Yea same for me i quit for a month for a work test. My tolerance came back pretty fast. Probably would take a couple months I'd imagine. Depending your usage.
It's crazy how when I was a kid smoking weed was always so fun and silly and always a good time and now over a decade later even the smallest dose of THC can start leading me toward the rabbit hole...granted those were more "innocent times" back in the day and weed has gotten much stronger since then (especially here in MI with medical and recreational becoming legal)
Your right has to do something with stress etc but high THC is not good for you regardless it's been getting proven and been researched lately. 10 15 percent is all u need with CBD you don't need 30 to 35 percent itl fuck with ur head
I’m a thc fanatic so I was kinda skeptical about the tru mental effects of CBD but I fist took some before I went to the mall one day and was (almost) completely calm. I struggle bad in public areas with people I don’t know. CBD is for real
Alcohol does affect everyone the same. I knew a fellow student that went super aggressive when he drank alcohol. He really wanted to start physical fights even with close friends and when someone like him was around we had to step in or it would have ended badly.
I smoked weed for over a decade. I loved it. I helped me in basically every aspect of my life when i used it responsibly, however at some point i started getting horrible anxiety attacks and panic attacks. They would only happen after smoking. They became more frequent to where it would happen almost every time. I decided to quit. The panic attacks and the anxiety thst came with it just wasnt worth it. When i started getting these attacks, nothing had changed in my life. I was working, playing music and touring, etc. The same things i had been doing for years. I have discovered that this has happened to many people. I just dont know why weed started affecting me and the many other oeople in that way.
It depends on the CBD:THC ratio and dosage. Get a high CBD strain and pack yourself a small bowl or two. Nearly impossible to get the paranoia and anxiety from that. I used to hate weed because of that but realized you just need the right strain.
Also, id like to add that in general, theres not a whole lot to base a purchase on in a dispensary. These plants have been crossbred for a long time and ultimately, sativa/indica whatever doesn't really mean much. Getting a higher potency of the medicine you want in your plant means you're being money savvy.
I’m so happy to find this clip I’ve smoking since 14 with rough times and family issues I’ve just had another cone. I CANNOT STOP SMOKING WEED There needs to be way way more research put into marijuana use, I’ve got some friends that it effects them totally different they actually act high when they smoke, I’m my normality, so when I smoke nothing happens I feel it but you wouldn’t know it talking to me I’m so used to it. It’s a not a positive drug for me however I can’t stop, I want to but I’m addicted which is the one thing I was always told would never happen now I realise those people were where I am now as an addict however they don’t realise it themselves, I love weed but hate weed listening to this has made me really want to try cbd once it is legal here in New Zealand Thank you joe Thank you the community
Hey pal, I have the same experience. I’m addicted in the sense that I feel normal after I smoke and not right when I’m off it. However, when i wasn’t smoking for a month it took maybe 5-7 days before I stopped wanting it for fun and normalcy.
Start working out and quit. Visualize yourself quitting running without the weak lungs. It’s hard but read physcho cybernetic you can do whatever you want. You know you can do it
TheJRMproductions cause we’re stoners and weed is life. Come on now. Easy af to get any level of bud you can afford. Dabs, dab carts, edibles, it’s too easy.

Smoked weed all through high school, all through college. Got into law enforcement, didn’t partake for 17 years. Got out of the law enforcement game, now I can partake whenever I want. When I first got back into it I quickly realized the marijuana today is WAAAAYYYYY more potent! My first handful of experiences where RRRRUUUUFFFFFF! Thought I was having a heart attack, questioned my own existence (actually a positive), I thought I was gonna die! Now I use it casually and consider it a positive, relaxing part of my social life. Just gotta know your tolerance level and know what you’re taking!
I had a bad trip on eddibles 4 years ago. It was 260 mg. This was before I even knew what milligrams were and the doses. I was having a severe panic attack thought I was going to have a heart attack it was way too much to handle and it lasted like 4 or 5 hours. I tried to eat some food to think that it would help it go away and I couldn't swallow the muscles in my throat forgot how to swallow. About 1 to 2 months after that I was still having occasional panic attacks. This was about 4 years ago and still to his day sometimes I have problems swallowing
Wow that's a lot. The same thing happened to me when I tried half of a Delta 9 gummie. Way worse of an experience than authentic grown stuff. I'm shocked it's legal here and not regular weed.
I think it completely depends on your headspace going into the use of any drug. I really enjoy THC use but there are times where its a mental battle. Its kind of like everyday life.
It has a very introspection effect on me when I was younger with no worries smoke a 1/2 oz a day. Now being older with normal responsibility work, bills etc. It makes me anxious and I start to question why am I getting high when I can be bettering myself instead of lounging jmo.
It’s so important to understand different People’s tolerance, as i’m a weed smoker, had a break for 12 years or so (i’m 51), started first when i was 19, but has always smoked only, between 1 & 1 1/2 daily, and mostly for sleep. Btw, i developer a bi- polar disorder in 2012, and the cannabis seems to dose down on my meds. Besides that i have a normal life, but have my terms with my mental health. Weed i maybe not the answer for everything, or for everybody, but for me as a supplement to medicin and alhohol, i’m pleased with not drinking any thing at all, besides milk, soda & water. Cheers from Denmark
snap i took 150mg for the first time 8 weeks ago and its brought out anxiety and depression to the stage that im on medication now. absolutely horrible
The thing about high potency cannabis is that you don't have to smoke as much of it to achieve the desired effect. When I started smoking back in the 8s you had to smoke 2 to 3 joints to really be nice and stoned unless on the rare occasion you got some slightly better than usual weed and than maybe 1 joint would be enough. Now a days, I can pack just 1 bowl and take 2 or 3 hits and be baked for hours, so I smoke way less. An you don't have to take an entire month for a tolerance break. I'd say just take 5 days to a week from smoking it and you Will notice a difference. maybe not as big of a difference as someone who took a whole month tolerance break but still, taking only 5 days to a week is easier than having to go a whole month without.
I’m glad this is being talked about. In my experience Weed: always given me sever panic attacks and amplified anxiety, and can’t be social, period. Alcohol: always puts me in good vibes, anxiety disappears, and Literally zero barrier when it comes to communication. I agree physically alcohol is not healthier then weed, but weed CAN in SOME cases be severely damaging psychologically to certain people.
When I read your experience, it is similar to mine. I could advice you to try CBD instead. It made me a lot more social and caring less (which is the reverse of a THC effect).
I smoked for a large part of my life, and was one of those people that thought I would smoke the rest of my life. I really enjoyed it! I stayed with a friend of mine that was a grower and one day we made some brownies. Apparently they were super strong,as we had know idea how to make them, but I ate one. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had! Since that day,or days because it last a few. I’ve never like it again, and haven’t smoked but twice since then. That was almost ten years ago. It’s not the same drug when you eat it!
I've noticed that the new pot is very different than the old pot, old pot (around the turn of the century) never gave me anxiety, a lot of the new stuff does, I'm guessing it is because they grew the cbd out of it, bring back the old skunk, these new strains feel like something is missing and replaced with something unpleasant, that being said alcohol feels the same as it ever did so while that might not be the most professional control I feel it's a valid correlation
"went outside, vanished. He's gone... " Yeah, that was me one summer in Seattle. Drank espresso shots all afternoon. (they just tasted really awesome that day) totally wacked-out. One minute sitting at a bar with my friends tweeking. Next--Boom--out the door. Gone.
If you're prone to severe depression or anxiety( I'm talking about actually disorders, bipolar, major depression, OCD, etc) THC can exacerbate those symptoms. But if its balanced with CBD concentrations it can alleviate those issues.
Marijuana actually has a reverse tolerance. When joe says that he gets so used to it, it’s because he does it often enough where it’s in his body for so long and the marijuana stays in the blood stream for so long that it appears to make a tolerance but actually takes less to get high since it’s already in your blood. The reason he feels it so much after his “sober October” is because it was mostly, if not fully flushed from his system and hit him like his first time smoking again.
Actually mad respect to Joe for talking about how he can be one sided in his ideas too
self awareness
Friendly respect
Mad respect bro
If only all people could be like that :/

I think some people think they need to always be in control of everything and when they take drug they lose this capacity and it messes with their brain.

Which is why it's important to understand the risks and benefits BOTH before taking it. Some people have issues, many others get benefits. Education and self choice one way or the other is what this about.

I seriously don't think weed is as harmful as some may put it, it just keeps you in tune with yourself and makes you think.
iv never tripped from weed. how tf you trip from weed?
This is literally what happened to me. I'm in my sophomore year of school right now and can't smoke weed at all, I just start worrying too much and it feels like I'm twice as stressed as usual.

You had a sativa, I had the same effect then switched to indicas and hybrids, more calming and less over self aware

I’d say there’s a pretty big difference between someone who drank too much and someone who smoked too much.
I don't even know why they're that compared. Fact: I can drink myself to death in almost every town across the US. Whereas I can not do the same with weed ingestion or consumption. Take all factors out but the scientific fact of what I just said. That's all that needs to sink in.
@@B33T33W It sounds like you are already exhibiting symptoms of aggression. I was a smoker for 20 years. There really is no need to use that word.
My husband has been using these CBD Products from Weedborn and is extremely delighted.
For what reason? Does it come out positive thc?
I hope it can be for others too.
my last alcohol experience involved cannabis vaporized next day to heal the hangover from the alcohol .. that was my last experiment with the stuff too
Hope your still doing well. Just done the same but with opiates and feel so much better for it, shame it isn't legal here yet or probably ever
I just made the switch from alcohol to weed. Day 7. Very encouraging post thank you
@@ThaTrumpGuy that’s awesome!
“Alcohol affects people in very similar ways” one of the most untrue statements I’ve heard in my life.
Caleb Carrigan superb album that is
Late but yeah it is pretty similar across all people? Motor skills are weakened, heart beat is slowed

I'm fully aware it can help people but I'm equally aware it can harm them. I'm not saying do away with it, I'm saying be careful.
Mark Walmsley so you're just dodging the objective reality of the differences between these drugs that make them little comparable? Sure cobber sure
Bring back the one hitter!!! It's kept my tolerance down to a reasonable level for twenty years.
I've always needed pretty high amounts of THC to feel anything so those don't work for me :/
Seriously... that's all me and my friend do, one hitter smokin, gets clogged up? Buy another one for 99 cents lol. People are wasting so much weed.
I concur. 100% addictive. You know if u lived it so fuk with others say
When we say that marijuana is safe we say it in a legal vs illegal context, which, at this point in time, is the only context that matters.
So now I am healthier as well as my whole family. Only thanks to Weedborn CBD.
“When people smoke too much weed and say, ‘Oh no, I’m too high, I’m paranoid,’ what they’re really saying is, ‘The weed is showing me parts of myself I really don’t feel like dealing with right now.’”
Nah man, when you smoke way too much you get crazy anxiety, start getting scared of the ceiling fan and shit
Nah I’ve definitely gotten a sense of doom for no reason from smoking too much.
This is true but you can freak out on weed just because it's coming on way too strong

@Johnny Lotz ugh I miss dabs like no other. Used to just cruise in my car smoking them or smoke them before work.

Would love to have a go at that . O.o

The FDA should come up with more accurate data on this subject. That's their job!
I’m a thc fanatic so I was kinda skeptical about the tru mental effects of CBD but I fist took some before I went to the mall one day and was (almost) completely calm. I struggle bad in public areas with people I don’t know. CBD is for real
IDK WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT THIS IN MY LIFE I LOVE JOE ROGAN
Alcohol does affect everyone the same. I knew a fellow student that went super aggressive when he drank alcohol. He really wanted to start physical fights even with close friends and when someone like him was around we had to step in or it would have ended badly.
I love how the guy advocating for marijuana is the spitting image of health 😱🔝
Man! Joe Rogan finally talks about weed! About damn time...
I’m so happy to find this clip I’ve smoking since 14 with rough times and family issues I’ve just had another cone.
I CANNOT STOP SMOKING WEED
There needs to be way way more research put into marijuana use, I’ve got some friends that it effects them totally different they actually act high when they smoke, I’m my normality, so when I smoke nothing happens I feel it but you wouldn’t know it talking to me I’m so used to it.
It’s a not a positive drug for me however I can’t stop, I want to but I’m addicted which is the one thing I was always told would never happen now I realise those people were where I am now as an addict however they don’t realise it themselves,
I love weed but hate weed listening to this has made me really want to try cbd once it is legal here in New Zealand
Thank you joe
Thank you the community
Hey pal, I have the same experience. I’m addicted in the sense that I feel normal after I smoke and not right when I’m off it.
However, when i wasn’t smoking for a month it took maybe 5-7 days before I stopped wanting it for fun and normalcy.
Start working out and quit. Visualize yourself quitting running without the weak lungs. It’s hard but read physcho cybernetic you can do whatever you want. You know you can do it

Hard to believe that there are people trying to cancel this guy.
Here is a pretty clear portrayal that Joe can look af a subject which is pretty close to his heart, from both sides.
I respect Joe Rogan for his ability to hold these types of conversations.
Joe I have chron's and weed is one of the best medications that I have came across.
how about 20 years undiagnosed with chron's - and grew high CBD strains to alleviate syptoms? I hope you're good mate.

I just discovered Joe Rogan he's deep thinker I like that greetings from Ireland
I think it completely depends on your headspace going into the use of any drug. I really enjoy THC use but there are times where its a mental battle. Its kind of like everyday life.

Took 500mg of weed this basically feels like a pre acid trip
that's a lot bro you just need 5 or 10 to chill out before bed
Not if your tolerance is high
From my own personal experience with edibles, I severly underestimated how it can affect your perception.
snap i took 150mg for the first time 8 weeks ago and its brought out anxiety and depression to the stage that im on medication now. absolutely horrible
do the stars make you hallucinate?
At the minimum of 20% THC if I’m even gonna consider smoking it.
Edibles barely work on me.
That’s me.
You do you.
I'm the same way, if an edible is going to affect me it has to be very potent, yet 2-3 puffs off of a good j get me jacked.
Charlie Duke
Word. I gotta eat like 150 mg to feel anything
Exactly. To many dam cry babies in here
The thing about high potency cannabis is that you don't have to smoke as much of it to achieve the desired effect.
In my experience
Weed: always given me sever panic attacks and amplified anxiety, and can’t be social, period.
Alcohol: always puts me in good vibes, anxiety disappears, and Literally zero barrier when it comes to communication.
I agree physically alcohol is not healthier then weed, but weed CAN in SOME cases be severely damaging psychologically to certain people.
Depends on the strain. Sounds like you had a bad indica strain that caused you to have those issues.
There are many factors but you have to be in a good mental state before smoking
Very interesting! I've never ate it myself and wondered what the difference was? Could you possibly explain?
I have heard many good opinions about Weedborn CBD Shop.
I expect at least 10 Toe Rogan videos from this.
People Get slapped get the fuck out of here
I've noticed that the new pot is very different than the old pot, old pot (around the turn of the century) never gave me anxiety, a lot of the new stuff does, I'm guessing it is because they grew the cbd out of it, bring back the old skunk, these new strains feel like something is missing and replaced with something unpleasant, that being said alcohol feels the same as it ever did so while that might not be the most professional control I feel it's a valid correlation
What he said about nightmares is 100% true. Ive never had a dream when i smoke before bed
"went outside, vanished. He's gone... "
Yeah, that was me one summer in Seattle. Drank espresso shots all afternoon. (they just tasted really awesome that day) totally wacked-out. One minute sitting at a bar with my friends tweeking. Next--Boom--out the door. Gone.
That feeling of being lost/ wandering off is the worst part of not being sober imo lol too many opportunities for bad situations
If you're prone to severe depression or anxiety( I'm talking about actually disorders, bipolar, major depression, OCD, etc) THC can exacerbate those symptoms. But if its balanced with CBD concentrations it can alleviate those issues.
“11-hydroxy metabolite” classic joe
Marijuana actually has a reverse tolerance. When joe says that he gets so used to it, it’s because he does it often enough where it’s in his body for so long and the marijuana stays in the blood stream for so long that it appears to make a tolerance but actually takes less to get high since it’s already in your blood. The reason he feels it so much after his “sober October” is because it was mostly, if not fully flushed from his system and hit him like his first time smoking again.
Yes like pain pills
