This video was of great help. Needed to get to the stupid XM Tuner that sits behind the subwoofer. With the video at hand I could get to it within about 30 mins. Without this video I wouldn't have even tried.
Thanks for the info. That seems like a lot of work to replace a speaker. Disappointed that Honda designed the subwoofer placement that you have to remove all of that before you can even access the subwoofer. With all of the design ingenuity that Honda has, you would think they would design it simply to remove a panel that covers the speaker and simply disconnect and replace it. Oh well ....
Thanks for the Video...Is it LX model? I see there is a wiring harness already there...is that hooked up to the factory Radio? Basically what I'm trying to find is, if I buy a passive subwoofer, will it work on the LX model? Also what is the type/size of subwoofer which will fit on that location? Thanks for your help in advance!
Thank you for sharing. Awesome job. Question: I am trying to replace my stock subwoofer, but I am not sure what subwoofer would fit since I hear that the stock subwoofer is really shallow. Thanks again Buddha Lee
U can go with 10 inch and don't forget an amp. I try it and it sound nasty so i bought my own box. It will sound better. Just get a shallow 10 inch speaker box
You'll want to get a free air subwoofer since it's almost impossible to get a seal. That's why Sirlee above's sub sounded like shit so he bought his own box. Use a box or get a free air sub
The subwoofers will work but you have to run a wire from your stereo. If you want it that way.i try the amplifier with subwoofer it sound like shit.i recommend you buy a small box. Either 10 inches or 12 inches should work on the Honda pilot. I recommend you put a 12 inches because if you don't you will have alt of gap. My is a Lx model
dude, yah can't spend 2 minutes explaining how many screws, nuts, bolts, tabs, parts, caps and a seat with seat belt and say it's just that easy. But, I do appreciate it. I guess I'm going to build a custom box for my JL 10 inch. and soldier everything because I'm not going to remove it + dynamat. good job
hey I have Honda pilot 2007 I want to put aftermarket amp for 2 12" sub but I need u help the pilot is come with factory amp sub that sub come with the truck??? please help thx u
What i mean is i try to install the subwoofer in the Honda pilot with an amplifier. It sound like shit. i recommend you put an amplifier and and 10 or 12 inche subwoofer with a small box. That's what i did to my. One other thing if you are going put a subwoofer in your stock Honda pilot (hole) you will need a shallow subwoofer.
I got a Kicker Amp and kicker L7 aftermarket in a enclosure when I hit the subwoofer adjustment in the factory head unit for doing test tones to set up my amp the factory sub comes on too any way to by pass the factory sub and just run my aftermarket amp n sub??
Wanted to change out the sub in my 07 pilot, but it looks like a pain in the ass.
Stock one pounds pretty damn good.

great video ....
Buddha how did you access the bolts to the seat?
Nicely done man.
You do not actually show anything involved in installing a sub besides just removing the panel. The title is deceiving.
What Brian said, lol...thanks for the demo
How did you remove that back right seat?

Would you happen to know what the factory mounting depth is?
Do I have to do the same thing to take out that storage tray?

do you happen to know the max depth of a replacement sub that fits inside the factory location without having to modify the Pannell?
Yes

What standard size speaker goes in the trunk wall for 2004 Honda pilot
The subwoofer is 10” if that’s what you’re asking?
