Soo many guitarists have tried to mimic the sounds of Stevie Ray and also put their own spins on his music, all of the videos that I have watched of you playing is like listening to Stevie playing in real time. I never got a chance to see him as I was a young kid. Growing up listening to him and other blues music, I have grown to love his twist and how he has incorporated styles of the greats; Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, and soo many more. My dad used to play music and this is what I loved listening to when he played music. Thanks for keeping Stevie and all of his music alive. I am sure he is proud of you as well as Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton.
@@jakobmorningstar He does a lot more, ZZ Top Zeppelin, Hendrix among others. His band Texas Flood is mainly a tribute to SRV, but his talent is wide spread.
@@jeffhershberger still covers though, gotta come up with your own stuff to be a true artist imo. I don't consider myself one right now with the guitar. I can solo amd everything but I don't have any complete songs
Good lord have mercy! That is the best sounding SRV style blues guitar that I've heard to date! The player is absolutely "stunning" in his playing and his "Strat" through that HONEY BEE AMP/CABINET combo is just "Amazing" in every detail and regard! I'm actually messaging with the owner/Builder of Honey Bee Amps right now as he sent this link to me! :-) Tommy you are a monster guitarist and have an eerie sense of playing in the reign of "Stevie Ray Vaughn" but adding in your own subtle touches! Where in Texas do you live and what bars or clubs are you playing in currently! :-) Mac Baker
Hey Tommy you should shave your head, grow a long amish beard and wear yellow swim trunks with red army boats and get as far away from Stevie's look as possible. Create your own music and look. You have the feel, sound, heart, soul and talent to do it. Take this to another level my friend. Get out of the box. Re-create yourself. Guitar nation needs another guitar hero and you are the chosen one. :} PEACE AND MUCH RESPECT!

I usually love everything I've heard Tommy play, still do, but I thought in this vid there's an overkill of reverb, and I'm a huge fan of reverb, but this to me sounded like playing inside a huge fish bowl, don't mean to be negative, because I really dig Tommy's playing a lot. Just my opinion. Peace
The only one who can almost play like Stevie without losing honour...Tommy is the man who deserve his statue...

Dude! Stevie would be so proud!!!
Just Amazing Tommy !!
Fantastic!
This guy should be right where Philip Sayce is right now 🤘
His technical ability is up there, but doesn’t he only cover SRV? gotta do more than covers to make it

Tommy is great but he’s not even close to being on Philips level. Philip has incredible original music, songwriting skills, voice.

Tommy I just saw a picture of your stunning "RED HONEY BEE AMP" head that the builder has built for you! I believe that is correct! :-) (Y)
Check out Philip Sayce!! Matthew Scott is also worth checking out they've both got that tone down
Tommy plays all over Texas but he is mainly in the DFW area.

I'm a big fan of Tommy's too, so I'll just say this, he really shines when he is with a band.
Thats because of the room theyre in, it echos
Imagine what that could have sounded like with a reverb pedal on the board
Lol he ain’t a worship guitar player 😂
lol
Bell tone pickups?
Nokkel Pickups!
SRV certainly has influenced many guitarists.
But let's not endlessly regurgitate his 30 year old playing style.
people can play however they choose to. If you arent striving to be famous there is nothing wrong with trying to imitate your guitar heroes.
WOW,Incredible
