- The Illusion. I had the opportunity to revisit this completed project with its new owner. I wanted to share some details about this project, my inspiration and what it took to bring it all together. This early french builder inspired coach built car is coated in tones of cinnamon and root beer. From the concept, to renderings, the metal work, and down to all the unique details that make this car so special. I hope you enjoy the video and The Illusion!
Beautiful
Gorgeous! Looks like a Terry Cook /Deco Rides sort of thing. I apologize in advance - I don't know who came first, not that it even matters....
Badass car. Thanks for making this video. More like this please 🤘
So much better than 95% of the broadcast shows out there.
Magnifique ! Une véritable œuvre d’art ! 😍
I am SO sorry we can only give you one thumbs up. She truly deserves many, many more. I am absolutely in love! Number one car, ever, in my book. My favorite color is Cadillac's Ember Firemist. I don't think you could have picked a better color combo If you tried. Wonderful car. You should be very proud.
Very Nice! You got the right sense of style,i think...a rare thing these days! And Marcels just knows how to make this kind of flowing curves work...Not every coachbuilder has that eye .Really...a beautiful build.Fantastic looking machine.
Amazing work of art Rick!
Amazing!!
Are you still building extremely gorgeous cars please comment back I missed the show where you would take the whole person's horde and build them one car that they wanted I missed that show Please comment back thank you for all the builds that I've seen you do extremely gorgeous work
Art on wheels, its absolutely wonderful I can't stop looking at it.
Beautifully done! Truly a rolling work of art.
How does the word spelt aluminium come to be pronounced alooomnum when on that side of the pond? 😂😂😂
It's spelled "aluminum" over here. Only one "i."
@@murraythet, which is wrong. It's ALUMINIUM.
@@murraythet Yes you’re right, you spell it incorrectly and mispronounce it too. It was given its name by a Cornish chemist here in England where we spell it the correct way😉
@@newbachelor566 Not on the West side of the North Atlantic. ALUMINUM here.
The finest creation of Rik Dore IMHO. This rivals the best creations of the legendary Figoni et Falaschi duo.
Beautiful car!😍
Looks good from the single angle camera shot. MIght as well have had some guy yakking over a still shot. Hardly worthy of a RUclips video.
again a amazing car rick i hope to see you back on the tele again
BEUTIFULE! reminds me of a tune car.
Hey didnt you have a show where you scrapped old classics to build one,um lords of the car scrappers i think it was, hope this car dont get to much surface rust, would hate to see it get scrapped
Only the ignorant would touch anyones car. I can’t stand going to shows and seeing kids touching everything and the parents saying nothing.
Very classy , normally wheels are a focal point, but the clean lines are this cars focal point
Oh boy, that is one sweet ride Rick!
Would love to see video of you building one of your creations.
Beautiful as usual just saying hi Rick.
RIP off of Figoni et Falaschi 1939
So?
This is a work of art!
Rick Magnificent artist.
Exotic Automobile!
curvacious, please lol
Divine!
Incredible!
The Master
Is he drunk?
love the color
Amazing video Rick! You could visit your other kids (The Black Pearl, Shangri La, etc..) and keep doing this kind of video.
WOW, that is awesome!
Beautiful! As a young person, I kinda want new cars to look like this. The streets would be a much more tolerable places to be on.
Masterpiece!! Can it be shown at Amelia or Pebble Beach??
Rick, love your design and finish. Bravo!
Rick, I have been an ardent fan of your work for many years. Rolling Art.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful creation 🤩🧡
Wow Rick
That colour is incredible. To see it in person would be eye watering I’m sure.
Delahaye is the first thing I thought of. George Barris is smiling somewhere
Bale of hay is what the boys at Boyd Covington referred to these.you are one of the best Rick!
Rick my fellow car freak.
I concur that is a killer car.
Thank you for sharing your process.
That a dream car brother. Absolutely stunning! My hats off to you.
That car is absolutely beautiful Rick! Hell of a job!
What a gem, off the hook, beautiful.
Looks like an Aero 8, except not as stylish.
Your builds are out of this world, first class!!
its time for your parallel parking space test
Imagine that curvy beauty in black
Boy , that car would look so good in my garage.
Stunning car. You do great work.
Nice job Rick! Beautiful!
Beautiful car man!!
Beautiful.
Yes its beautiful but " you have to be aware when driving it" watch out when turning, you cant see the fender etc ... . this is built for shows and static display.
How Rick Dore doesn't have his own TV show is mind boggling, imagine watching the build process over 14 months , now that would be a tv show I would want to watch.
Thanks Rick for sharing
He did have a TV show.....Lords of the Car Hoards where they reclaimed a car/parts/junk hoarder's stash, sold off most of it and built the hoarder his dream car.
Your car is nice but I do not know about you.
I was wrong
He’s a very talented and fine guy
Cool car, but dude is kinda irritating.....
You never fail to amaze. You are in a elite class with the likes of Boyd, Foose, and Strope. Very cool to have the looks of a beautiful classic with a modern driveline. 👍
Nothing short of a masterpiece!
