I think the Mastiff would take the edge just because of how his defenses are from having so much hair, but in a fight to the death… It’d probably be a pretty even fight, but I’d give the edge to the Mastiff for 70 out of 100 fights, due to it having a higher bite force, weighing more, and having a fair bit better defense compared to the wolf. Glad they turned out okay here though. Edit: I’d actually say the Mastiff would win 90 out of 100 fights, after some more time to think about it.

Isn’t it fascinating that the wolf never attacked the man? Being a former dog trainer, I’ve witnessed several dog fights break out involving 2 domestic dogs and the people trying to break up the fight almost always get bitten and sometimes severe. Very interesting.

Most ppl I know wouldn’t have gotten a weapon, they’d throw hot water on them. That’s what I’ve always heard broke up a dog fight immediately. Not boiling where it’s gonna burn them but hot enough to make it uncomfortable

That wolf was his pet-didn’t you see its collar?-so I doubt killing him crossed his mind. And how was he training the dog? The dog had to be pulled off. Of course, both pets learned Dad won’t let them get away with fighting.
