Thank you, Mark . Liverpool supporters appreciate what you are doing.
He’s backing you because United are not challenging you
No we don't

As an Italian, this PL situation reminds me of early 2000s Serie A. A lot of shocking mistakes unpunished, a lot of teams robbed of crucial points. I think the issue with England is that you guys never faced a situation like Calciopoli and so the FA doesn't pay much attention to referees designation and stuff. In italy we have an open var program where we can listen to what referees say during matches and post game interviews. This is the result of a tense situation post Calciopoli. I think you guys need that
There's definitely some English exceptionalism at play when pundits dismiss any questioning of referees as conspiracy theories.
City have been getting the benefit of 'subjective' refereeing decisions for years now, while their only title rival (Liverpool) have had the opposite. Since Arsenal became a genuine title threat, they've also had a number of 'subjective' decisions go against them.
We now know PL officials are being paid by the UAE to referee exhibition games, who by happy coincidence also own Manchester City. City's director of football, Txiki Begiristain, was also at Barcelona during the period they're currently being investigated for allegedly paying millions to la liga's equivalent of Howard Webb.
Does that mean anything sinister is going on? No, but there needs to be far greater transparency and accountability at the PGMOL. And if they're not willing to comply with this, they should be investigated.
@@jonathancampbell9133city have also had subjective decisions against them too… it would have cost them last season if arsenal hadnt bottled it. Just face it, the referees are useless. Its not that deep
@@0riginalFIR3citeh's "calls against vs for" ratio is far and away the lowest in the league. Has been for years.
Only team that regularly surround a ref and receive no yellows. Regularly have handballs they commit go unpuniahed and receive dubious hand ball awards. Feenandinho and now Rodri regularly committing numerous professional fouls per game that go uncarded. I could go on.
I think this is pre-calciopoli era of premier league. It reeks of corruption but there is so much money on stake that nobody wants to be the one to bring it all down especially when states are involved, states which have no problem going after people that stand in their way. Serie A was top league before calciopoli, look how much it suffered after it.
@@kamalpreetsinghgill1396This is the real problem the premier league has. Man City are owned by a country (as are Newcastle). These countries have no real interest in winning trophies, they've bought these football clubs for the political 'soft' power they afford them. And the more successful a club is, the more power you get in return.
If you're an oil rich country with vast resources whose only interest in buying a football club is sportswashing your reputation, what would you stop at to achieve this goal?
I'd wager there's nothing Man City's and Newcastle's owners wouldn't do to get this power, which is why Man City are currently being investigated by the PL over 115 alleged financial offences.
Of course, this is all the PL's fault. They should never have allowed a country to buy a football club in the first place, and now there's no way back.
Fair play for backing us in moments like this even when you're a United fan. Shows the difference between people who love certain clubs and people who love football
This is why everyone likes Goldbridge because he ain't deluded and biased to any team because he's fair unlike most other football youtubers
We support United but that doesn't mean we disrespect Liverpool. Personally I have the most respect for Liverpool out of the rest of the league because Liverpool is our only equal and vice versa. Both our clubs struggled to get to where we are whilst some were given it because they paid for it. I honestly don't think some of our teams supporters know how many times both clubs have been relegated and yet still rose to occasion to be where they are now. Liverpool is the last team I want to see ever drop (after my team). There's no United without Liverpool until another team knocks us both off our pedestals to create a new derby with either of us.
he never said anything after united game and arsenal game.
@@O7FTBL Guy literally called it justice when City were robbed
City are uniteds rivals, obviously he’s going to be bias
I remember when everyone called us LiVARpool. Because poor ref decisions got overturned. That's why. Now they don't even get overturned and it's this sudden drama this season. Been going on for years but people are only seeing it now. Everyone called us delusional for years.
We get called Livarpool for the one season we won the league, where we still got less favourable decisions than spurs, city United and a few other teams as far as I remember 😂. The data is all there but people choose to ignore it because Liverpool won the league and they need a reason to justify it after everyone and their dog didn’t want us to win the league. So somehow delusional low IQ fans still think it’s the case when the likes of city and spurs have been getting dodgy decisions for years, no one bats an eyelid 😂. City have been getting a lot more than dodgy decisions as well
I'm a United fan that watched the Liverpool game vs Burnley. Its crazy! The two goals chalked off for minor infringements. Then the City game happened and it really looked like an agenda for City to win champions.
For me United will always be out greatest rivals. If United were better than us over a season I would totally respect them like you obviously respect us. That's the game....we very much want to beat each other but it's got to be fair as you say.
yeah, the PL wants City to win the league but they charge them for 115 breaches. Makes sense...

Not sure that they are getting paid on the side but Liverpool have been hard done by and there are a couple of refs who hate Liverpool. YNWA
Pushing players into offside positions is now allowed as well😂 absolutely ridiculous by these officials
clearly corruption...no word better than this
Also falling over near an opposition player can get a goal against ruled out because you were clearly fouled.
Agreed. If it wasn't a goal it should have been a pen for the shove on Mo.
Also having perfectly good goals disallowed because your keeper falls over and pretends to be fouled. (Alison) 😉
This is a new way of defending, pushing offensive players to offside position 😂
Not only was Odegaard's hand far away from his body, he was pretty much playing basketball, somehow VAR justified this as a natural movement while falling. He did not even fall.
He falls over and salha kicks the balls at his arm what do u want him to do?
@@patrickholland4556 watch it again, he may have been off balance, but he literally spins with the ball until it falls near his feet and he then kicks it to Saka. That's basketball.
Probably explains why Liverpool have started trying to smash goals in from 30 yards out, because you cant be offside and the likelihood of the goal being ruled out is practically 0.... Theres nothing VAR or the refs can do.
Yes! That's the only way they can do. But I'll bet they're still going to brainstorm some dirty tactics to find a reason to disallow a goal. Pathetic tbh.
They'll just pull it back for a "foul" that went unnoticed 3 minutes earlier
@@betadecay6503 yep, that's just how sad it is
@@betadecay6503 they'll probably start ruling goals out cause of fouls committed in the previous game.
Brilliant observation that mate, I've noticed them peppering shots constantly recently but didn't think too much into just thought maybe they'd been given abit more freedom but that makes complete sense, klopp knows the system is against them so he's trying to give them nothing. Imagine winning the league with that tactic scoring record goals outside the box in a season that would be an insane achievement. Personally don't think Liverpool have the strength to carry it on till the end of the season but I'd love to see it
Thing is Liverpool fans aren't allowed to talk about it because its just "excuses" but any other club fans would complain.
Referring data shows the claims are real

Thank you Mark for being a voice of sanity amidst the biased insanity. VAR has robbed many a teams and are artificially adding the drama to the beautiful game.
Need foreign referees
He only hates City so you think he loves you. Haven’t decisions gone against City too?
Nice one Mark. Saying this as a LFC fan. The one that got me even more incensed than the Odegaard handball was VAR overruling Elliot's goal for Salah being offside and in the keeper's sight. But they don't show that he was literally shoved onto that position by the defender. Once VAR make a decision that an offside is a referee's call, they owe it to show the full picture of how Salah got there in the first place. The intent of that rule is to prevent attackers deliberately obstructing the line of a keeper in an offside position. But in this case, there was no intent by Salah to do that, so VAR has to show the on-field referee the full picture to make him understand if it applies to the intent of the law and not just the letter. Otherwise now, defenders can get cute and shove opposition players in line with their keeper and claim offside. Just dumb.
Haaland vs Chelsea where he pulls the defender out the way to get goalside then chucks himself to the floor 😂 conveniently var doesn't show haaland pulling the defender out of the way just the minimal contact and him dolphin diving
Exactly this. Even more infuriating with this goal was the fact that VAR decided to get involved but conveniently didn't bother with the Gakpo goal that was ruled out in the first half where there was clearly no foul. VAR seems to have the freedom to pick and choose when to get involved, and that stinks.
VAR doesn’t look back far enough to see how Salah goes offside which makes it a disgrace for Liverpool.
No one is mentioning the freelancing PGMOL refs going to the UAE! With Man City being owned by the UAE! It is leaving them open to massive criticism! I wouldn’t call it incompetence myself!

As an Arsenal fan I would like to acknowledge your honest and fair analysis Mark. It's refreshing to listen to unbiased analysis once in a while.
Anyone remember a couple seasons ago when city won the league by 1 point because of a disgraceful VAR decision at Everton. Referees impacting the title race is just something we will have to learn to accept as an element of the chaos and luck of the game, nothing we can do about it really.
What was even worse is that Everton barely avoided relegation that season. That decision could've wrongfully sent down one of the oldest and most successful clubs in English football
Is it really chaos and luck when City are systematically the beneficiaries of these decisions for the past few years?
Btw, this has been happening before VAR (getting rid of VAR will not make things better and I would go as far as to say it actually is their ultimate goal).
And Man City robbed Arsenal at the Emirates that same season. I remember that game well
This is ridiculous. It is clear that City is the ONLY club that gets what they should not. I actually remember thinking to myself when it happened that if it was Arsenal, Liverpool or United they weren't going to get it. And now look I come on here and find this, im6glad im6not crazy.
Omg. The anti City agenda is the issue here. Player's surrounding the referee? Are you for real. United are the worst. You call city boring? Yet all the managers try to copy us. The biggest problem with content from you is the long line of dickheads who naively are influenced by your lies
Thanks for covering this Mark. We've been scr3wed over in favor of the Elephant In The Room since 2013!
It's getting ridiculous as everyone's becoming a victim of this more and more, every matchday. You-Know-Who seems to be immune to all of this, but the rest of us- we get call after call after call.
Yeah you know who you are MAN CITY.
VaR should be renamed McRC win the treble with 25000 breaches of FFP.
Well said Mark The inconsistency of the VAR decisions is dreadful. And you are right it will impact on the title because city never have an adverse VAR decision against them.
A poor decision is still a poor decision whether it’s through VAR or not. Last season multiple obviously wrong calls went against City in the title race and no one was upset about it because no one cares about the principle. They just want to see City lose and all the rest is virtue signaling about “fairness”.

Ppl should be coming together against this cs this ain't only liverpool problem it's happening to other teams as well shout out to goldbridge for continually addressing this...!
I am a Liverpool fan and maybe my view could be a bit biased. But what I see on Liverpool games is match officials never hesitate when it comes to punishing or penalizing harshly Liverpool players in any given situation. The completely opposite happens when City plays. Match officials changing their stance and decisions in a split second the moment the pressure ramps up from the crowd or City players. They are so soft towards City but very agresive towards other teams and in particular Liverpool. It happened a lot in the past, but since that row between Klopp and Tierney in May the officials agression and stance shown against Liverpool got way worse. Not givin a clear pen against Arsenal and canceling two absolutely legitimate goals in the last two games tells you this goes beyond any error or misjudgement of the rules. It feels more like an agenda.
It is easy to claim an agenda but I’m with you because incompetence would have been stamped out by the PGMol
Definitely dodgy decisions going against Liverpool. We should be 7 points or more clear at the top

I'm a devout believer in what Mark is fighting for but something tells me that if thats against City and the refs don't give it then suddenly , to everyone else...its an ABSOLUTE penalty instead of a "bizarre" or strange one and thats part of the reason why change is so difficult to bring about
Fans usually argue with each other coz its not the greatest feeling when you speak up for injustice against others but get told to stop crying by fortune tellers who say Grealish was never scoring that breakthrough chance anyway
Thanks for being unbiased Mark as it should be looked at objectively. Too many fans jump through hoops justifying poor decisions when it goes in their favour instead of realising that it will happen to their team. Liverpool had three awful decisions go against them in the last two games. The Odegaard handball which only some Arsenal fans feel wasn't a handball, The Nunez non-foul against Burnley when Gakpo scored and Salah being pushed into an offside position for Elliott's goal. It's becoming a worrying trend now and also suspicious that one team hasn't fallen foul of poor decisions (they won the title when a correct decision about Rodri's handball would have probably meant that they would not have won the title).
We've seen several titles won by a single point recently and getting the decisions correct is very important. You could argue that Liverpool have already been docked 4 or more points by VAR which is a huge hurdle to over-come.
When will everyone listen to me. Been saying it for months. Every decision benefits city directly or indirectly

I would love to see you on t.v. With Webb & co discussing VAR , someone should make it happen, as a Liverpool fan I’m backing you.
I agree with everything point mark is making because I feel sorry for teams that play so well and there's one dodgy decision that decides a game and it's just a shambles and I think city pay the referees
only 60 seconds in an Goldbridge is spitting absolute facts already 💯
The reason I heard that Odegard one against Liverpool wasn't a penalty is because he slipped and it was accidental. I've never ever heard this being a reason not to give a penalty in my life and where in the rules does it say it can't be a penalty if the offender slips? That was a handball everyday of the week. What is the point in VAR anymore if they can't make the right decisions. Evertime they do seem to get involved its for stupid things thst change the game, like that Curtis Jones reversed red car against Tottenham and a no goal for Liverpool against Tottenham.
Its really becoming a joke now and VAR seems to be getting worse and worse every year, not better.
