The man that was lame 40 years, do you think maybe he had a stony heart that was not ready to receive what was sowed? I wonder what plowed the ground of his heart up.....I wonder how the imaginations of his mind was cast down, it took a long time to cast down every thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, how and who brought his thoughts to the obedience of Christ? Tongue means language when you look up the translation so even if you speak in tongues at your home and your prayer closet in your prayer closet you are speaking a real language that is used on the Earth glorifying God otherwise it's a Kundalini spirit

By the translation alone it is a language i d i o m a in Latin or Spanish so if you don't have it pray for it like I have for almost four decades but I don't have it yet. Does that make me less holy? Your mother native tongue is tongues to someone else that doesn't know your language and you will be praising God and your language and it's possible the other person will translate your language into their language that's how the gift works according to the Bible and the Concordance. It's not some mystery language
When were tongues first used and then what were they used all the time after that in the book of Acts? To praise God in someone else's language while they knew you did not know that language and vice versa. Not one time but every time. Nowhere in the early church did it say that people went into their closet and prayed and tongues, all it said was that the Holy Spirit would help you to pray with stammering lips and groans and utterances. It said absolutely nothing not one scripture but the one Zack quoted and that has been taken out of context and caused people to let the enemy in with the Kundalini spirit and tongue. Just look up Kundalini. Never ever was it described like that except when Paul did and he met that he prophesied in other people's languages in front of them more than all of the people in the congregation. Yes that was simple wasn't it and that's exactly what he meant so we can't make something out of it that it isn't. You aren't any more holy because when you're in your home instead of praising God and your wrong language you have the gift to praise him and another known language on this Earth somewhere. This can lead to self-righteousness as I have seen it many times in 40 years
