@@XxOverLoad93xX They use to. Not anymore really. If you scav or go streets, you're on a server which they can join. If you play any other map, it creates a local server on your machines closed to your IP. Cheaters can't join that.
Personally I blame Valve for all the cheating in games because they have been a leader in this industry for a LONG LONG time now and I am pretty sure BSG is just following their lead in making profit any way possible. Why would they stop cheaters when they can just ban them and make another $50-250 off of them, it's what Valve was doing for years

The cheat plays audio of either the search sound or tripwire and it continuously plays it to lag your game the cheaters cheat allows them to mute these sounds so they don’t experience the lag
Probably not. It's more likely that a lot of people just switched to PvE to escape said cheaters and other issues with the game, so you're going to see more cheaters because of it.

No dealing with cheaters, dealing with sweats, dealing with people sitting in bushes, corners, trees, etc. No dealing with wipes having to do the same mundane and frankly boring and annoying quests over and over, especially just to unlock certain gear and ammo. PvE is literally the best for casuals and people who just don't want to deal with any of the aforementioned, which casuals make up a large percentage anyway. It's best for people with an actual life, job, etc. I'm two wipes into PvE and I'm still only level 39 because I can only play a few hours a week because I have a job and a life. It's great. There is more to life than it being PvP vs. PvE, sometimes people are just tired of doing the same quests on what is almost a ten year old beta game now.
Never understood cheaters how big of a loser you must be to play a pvp game and feel the need to cheat to get a win. I can't understand it. Just play single player at the lowest difficulty if you need a self-confidence boost. What fun is it to pay to win and perfectly know you never deserved a single time you won? Only case I understood cheating was when people get payed to carry, in that case at least you are doing it for money, it's still sad but at least you have some kind of reason to do it except being a huge loser
