Every single actor in this series did a phenomenal job!!! And obviously so did the whole of the staff!!! So proud of every single person involved in the making of this!! The best drama I've watched this year!!!
the train fight scene is one of my fav scenes this season! and the director is right, it doesn't feel fancy or heroic, it;s actually very desperate and even sad, especially with the bgm they put it in. like you actually can see how difficult it is for junho physically and mentally. but even since s1, they have a way to make junho's fighting scene always looks somber and desperate and not make him into a glorified hero/victor. i think that sets this series apart from other action drama really.

It's funny how i used to not like Jun Hae-in, used to think he was not handsome, didn't act well, nothing impressive when he was a cameo in Goblin. For a long time i kept that thought firmly in my mind until i saw him again in Prison Playbook. When he didn't play a charming boy kind of role, he took my breath away. I still remember clearly how his eyes "talked" in the scenes where he was on trial. His acting was so bold in those scenes that i changed my mind completely afterwards. He has "speaking" pair of eyes that can express emotion well like they are communicating with viewers!!! That's a valuable thing for any actors. Since then he has become my favorite star. In D.P he just simply did an amazing work, nothing at all to complain about his acting. ❤
I've loved Jung Hae-in since I first saw him in Something about the Rain! I backtracked his filmography and started watching his earlier works - he was the best second lead in While you were Sleeping!!!! He is so versatile and pushes for roles that are unconventional and different! I loved him in Connect, although this got mixed reviews - he was beyond recognition as he melted into this character!!! For me, his acting is mesmerizing to watch!!
After watching season 2, I found it to be just as compelling and excellent as season 1. However, because of the way season 1 post credits ended, I completely understand why this season was less focused on individual pursuits. It has the focus on the broader institutional critique of how they cover up their failures to safeguard their own reputation and power at the cost of those who serve their country!!! The main cast developed a four man bromance that was so beautifully acted and portrayed by the leads, proving that real men can have feelings of love and respect for one another. Jung Hae-in is still my favorite of all Kdrama actors, as he takes so many risks in his choice of roles to star in!!!
D.P. Season 2 Suk Ku oppa he so shine.✨ I love character Lim ji seop so much and I love D.P. too. This is MASTERPIECE series. I really hope there will be a season 3.

Touching the real life bullying untold and not to be mentioned in military, furthermore touching the greater overwhelming prowess of authority and how everything can be one sided if it is left unchecked, leave viewers with the deep thought on how everything can go wrong and how the weak are being suppressed by the powerful.. commendable acting by jung hae.. a must watch, both season 1 and season 2 .. season 2 bring the series to a closure to a part of the series, however the ending allow the possibility to season 3, which I hope bring more into the deep emotions of the deserters …
As a fan of DP S1 i also liked DP S2. it was interesting, highly emotional as well as enjoyable. like the actors said it gave some thing new for us the audience. hats off to the cast and crew of DP S2...

Since Hae In said that he was traumatized and had nightmares, I was contemplating on watching the drama. But I watched and it felt so real and even I ended having nightmares 😪 P.s. Han Ho Yeol is my fav character too
