I loved it. It made me so uncomfortable and emotional. Top notch acting ,direction and such a realistic story line. Jung Haein really is classy so is Corporal Han. I need to find his name. Corporal Han is soo soo good. And Kim Sung Kyun too..Loved to see the difference ❤
i feel like this drama is so realistic and it kinda made me uncomfortable since i was also a bystander of a bullying case once. i couldnt do anything back then. i heard the korean military officials is reacting to this drama as well, but they said this drama is a bit extreme to say that any of that could've happened at base in 2014. maybe they found it uncomfortable to address such truths.
As a Korean who served from 2008-2010 those officials can go suck a big fat Cock. We didn't have sexual harassments but beatings were far worse. By the time I got to corporal I was ordered to beat up the new guys I recall the exact words "Beat them up, find a reason, beat the civilian life out of them". I didn't, so I got beaten up every night for a month. I still refused because I believe the new recruits were good enough. They knew their place, they did as were told, sure some of them made mistakes but who doesn't. It's a terrifying new environment, if they didn't make any mistakes that would've worried me more. Long story short, despite it being 10years, we all still keep in touch. Like the bad guys in the drama I would say 1/10 are like that. Only when they rise in a position of power life becomes shit for everyone for the next 6months to a year.

Of course why would they accept their mistakes. Military people hardly accept their crimes. Most of the time, they just hide it. The writer is actually very brave for exposing the military.
These actors are not merely working for the money, they do the hardwork on the set because they were passionate about their profession! Salute to the production,too! DP is one hell of a movie, an untold story of so many patriotic souls inside the training camp.
EP. 5 you knew everything. you all just sat and watch. stop bullying and open your eyes and ears! stop seniority just respect and be polite is more than enough. oh god im so affected with this kdrama.

이천년대초 제 전방에서 예비사단 군생활 경험으로 말씀 드리자면.. 평소 군대 훈련의 강도는 영상에 비춰지는거보다 좀더 쎘구요; 매일 딱판이라고 나무 관물대 입구를 막는게 있는데 항상 털리는건 기본이고 대가리 박고 엎드려 뻗쳐도 자주했네요. 전투준비태세라도 하는날에는 원하지도 않았는데 선임들이 전역하면서 주는 갖가지 군옷들과 장구류때문에 더블백이 제대로 잠기지 않았는데, 결국 담배피고 침뱉는 쓰레기통에다 탈탈 털어 쳐박아두었더군요.. 말그대로 담배와 침범벅으로 엉망진창이었죠; 군화 제대로 안닦았다고 변기통에 쑤셔 박히기도 하고, 고참이 운동중에 활동화(운동화) 벗더니만 썩은내 나는 입구를 입에다 대고 짓이긴적도 있었구요.. 슬리퍼로 싸대기도 맞았습니다; 군생활중에 맞은적은 있긴한데 가혹행위때문에 직접적으로 심하게 때는것보단 군화로 까이거나 방탄모로 맞은적은 많습니다. K2 개머리판으로 방탄모 쓰고 있는데 툭툭 치는건 일상이구요; 근데 영상에서 봤던 대공포발사쇼 같은 가혹행위 없었는데 그건 좀 심하다고 보이네요.. 내리갈굼이라고 항상 최고참은 내무실에서 갈구고 그다음 고참부턴 각각 앞마당, 뒷공원, 공병창고 포창고 보일러실 불려가서 욕먹고, 그리고 마지막엔 윗선임이 자면서 귀에다 대고 쌍욕을 2시간동안 자지 못하게 합니다. 항상 내무실에 인원도 많아서(가장 많았을때는 70명 2개소대 한 내무실 같이씀) 옆으로 누워 잤는데 팔이 한쪽이 매일 저려왔었죠; 당한게 너무 많아 할말은 더 많은데.. 일단은 군은 엄청난 폐쇄 조직이라 가혹행위 당한걸 찔러도 오히려 관심병으로 찍히고, 그 이후에도 다른 윗고참이나 후임들이 갈굼 당하고 피 보기때문에 가혹행윈 당한걸 알린 당사자를 좋게 보지도 않구요. 오히려 남은 군생활이 더더욱 너무 피곤해집니다; 결국 정말 가족 생각하면서 이 악물고 버틴거지.. 안그럼 부적응자로 낙인찍혀서 스스로가 군생활이 힘들어집니다; 총기 난사 그런것들은 그쯤에 일어났던 일들을 모티브로 쓴것 같은데.. 지금은 많이 바뀌었으리라 봅니다. 그리고 저는 81mm박격포 메고 산넘고 행군하며 야전생활 주로 했던 터라 영상속 헌병대 생활은 맞는지 잘 모르겠네요
Jung Hae-in is such a great actor in DP it’s shame Ahn Jun Ho didn’t get a happy ending. I hope their is more k dramas on Netflix of him he’s very handsome. Is this what the miltary is like in real life I hope it’s not I hope it’s not like it is in the show.
