I retired from a law enforcement agency in a major Bay Area city in June of 2020 after 31 years on the streets. It is a disgrace to see how politicians sold out their police agencies during the summer of 2020. Police agencies are hurting in their recruitment efforts for new officers. What happened in Chicago under the the watch of the current mayor, as well as what the federal government has allowed to happen is a travesty to all Americans. When a police officer is killed in the line of duty by a crumb bum; especially by one who shouldn’t have been here to begin with, it is an absolute travesty. Not only that, but it deteriorates the Social construct of our civil Society.
My heart goes out to my law enforcement brother and his family, as well as his brother and sisters in his department.
