Since 1776 when it became independent, the U.S. has been engaged in wars 93% of the time, i.e. 230 years by now. Since 1991 when the Soviet Union collapsed, the U.S. has launched well over 200 military interventions overseas according to U.S. Congressional Research Service. During that same time period, Russia launched 5 & China 0 such interventions.
Furthermore, during its history as an independent country, the US has assassinated dozens of political & military leaders & organized tens of coups on foreign soil. In particular, between 1947 and 1991, the U.S. organized 64 such covert coups all over the world. This evidence alone is enough to prove that the U.S. is the biggest threat to democracy & peace on earth.
P.S. The U.S. also hired and protected Hitler's chief of Eastern European intelligence after WW2 along with his entire network of spies, operatives, and collaborators throughout the region. After WW2 ended, veterans of the multiple Ukrainian Nazi military units launched a guerilla war, backed by the U.S. cash and weapons, that lasted for 10 years. The few survivors of this guerilla war were eventually resettled in Canada and the vast majority in the U.S. These survivors and the ultra-nationalists inside Ukraine have been nurtured, financed and armed ever since by the CIA.

2008 - Russian-Georgian war
2015-2022 - Russia’s invasion of Syria
2014-2022 - Russian-Ukrainian war

What i experienced while on deployment in Afghanistan made me unconditionally against all wars. The poor and common people are sacrificied on the bloody altar of profit or elite ambition. The sad fact of the matter is that in 90% of cases peace can easily be achieved without the use of force. At every junction there is always a way toward peace.

Ukraine wanted a trade deal with Europe instead of Russia, that means they wanted to purchase European goods instead of Russia goods and Putin didn't like that and attacked, Ukraine ask to join NATO after the invasion, so if Putin didn't want NATO on his border he needs to go home.

Ah yes... the poor Soviet Union. After 1991 the Russian Federation got significant support including debt forgiveness (nobody demanded that they stick to their debts and allowed them to default.) In fact there was rather foolish support of Russian intervention in a series of Eastern European matters. Russia invading it's neighbors has a long history and the west actively supported it as a process of "stabilization." Only in about 2008 did we start realizing what was really happening, the Russian federation trying to restore old imperial borders not because of some idea of glory but about geographic defensive positions. The Russian goal isn't Ukraine, it's the Carpathian mountains on the other side, a defensible series of geography.

The majority of our population takes what the media pundits tell them to think to heart. I've know for awhile that we orchestrated that war in Ukraine by our actions, breaking our word to Russia etc. Don't know where I picked that up, but I do read a lot. Lot of Republicans like wars because they get large contributions from the defense industry whenever they are able to start one. It's good for our GDP too, selling arms to everyone. Yeah, from what I read, we pushed the buttons we knew would get a war started there. Our country talks peace, but it loves stirring things up, financial advantage to it I guess.

Ukraine's neutrality doesn't exist, that's a myth. They are either with Russia or against Russia, because Russians do not want any other relationship with any other neighboring country. You obviously have no idea what it is to live next to Russia. I know because I'm from Eastern Europe. No one here (in the bordering countries) wants to be under Russian hegemony again.

The base of the issues of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict are Russian colonialism starting more than a century ago. Unfortunately, he is spouting Russian talking points by putting a “start” in the middle of the conflict with whatever contact with the Nazis of Germany as an enemy - by labeling Ukrainian nationalists as “Nazis”. And acts as a Putin apologist.
Now let’s step up past the fall of the Soviet Union. In 2005 and again in 2008, massive amounts of natural gas resources are found in the Black Sea and south eastern Ukraine. And the Ukrainians realize that they can no longer be just a nation of pipelines of Russian gas and oil to southern and Eastern Europe - they can be an independent player if they leave the Eurasian Economic Union (run by Russia) and they can join the EUROPEAN ECONOMIC UNION…. Which Russian talking points conflate with NATO… Because Ukraine wasn’t trying to join NATO, they were trying to join the EU and had a referendum called the “European Union-Ukraine Association Agreement” to do so that passed despite the Russian puppet president Viktor Yanukovych - failing to take steps on that referendum led to his impeachment ouster (refusing to step down) and sent packing to Russia where he lives today - after Euromaidan protests devolved to bloodshed. It’s called Euromaidan because it was due to the efforts to join the EU, and happened in Maidan sq. Again pro-Russia talking points conflate “joining the EU” under the “European Union-Ukraine Association Agreement” with “Joining NATO” and it’s unfortunate that Mr Ridder echos that.

I realize now, that Operation Paperclip constituted, the West switching sides against the USSR, who actually defeated the NAZIs. The West's intension to destroy the USSR, goes back to 1945! If Putin was concerned about the homeless Russians he’d: 1) invite them to come to Russia (migration happens all the time); 2) not invade other countries who don’t want them, and 3) he’d stop stealing the wealth from the Russian people.
