24:40 - The cost of resources seems very high compared with what you can purchase during the Siege Card phase. Lowering resource values would add strategic importance to holding onto resources I think boardgamegeek.com/thread/2450597/discuss-here-ks-update-83-super-exclusives-and-sie
Personally, I feel like the castle, supply and morale procedure are a bit tedious for my taste. I got the siege equipment instead and personally they feel amazing for just a normal skirmish battle
I can see how people would feel that way. It’s definitely a solid 15-30 min after setup to complete the whole procedure. Are the regular skirmish battles fun? Still haven’t tried any of that.
I think it depends on your group. Sometimes I made up objective scenario to give the game a goal to work forward to. It can be to kill 3 out of 4 leaders or hold a point. My favourite is one where I have the attacker push a Ram to a city gate while the other team try to stop it. We have a blast with it. The game give you a lot of freedom with its title and troops
Do you have to play the card game or can you just skip to the battle? Just for your info, useless I know but just sharing some history. They’re English not British. United Kingdom of Britain wasn’t formed until 1707.
Good question. I ended up selling JoA some time ago. I can’t remember if it was mandatory or if there was a way to get straight into the fight. Also thanks for the info!
@@BoredOnlineBoardOffline I played siege on the weekend and found that the card game didn’t really make much of a difference. Clever idea I guess as it’s meant to be a lead up to the final battle as sieges could last for weeks/ months etc but yeah didn’t do a lot.
