I remember going into the draft thinking we probably draft Will Anderson with the #2 and end up with Will Levis at #12. I was bracing for Will Anderson when Goodell announced CJ Stroud and I was just as excited as both times the Stros won the World Series. Then it was OH SNAP, we got #3 and we're also getting Anderson. Great night.
Meco has been a beast since he was a star LB at Bama. Always one of the smartest minds. No doubt he will have the Texans winning within 3 years. After 4 weeks of the season, both Stroud and Anderson look like home runs.
It's the future and I know it's only 6 games in but if ya'll knew how well these 2 picks have worked out so far, you wouldn't have believed it. Damn, the Texans went big and it actually paid off. Maybe it's just the karma we had built up from so many bad decisions year after year that eventually we were bound to finally have something go our way. And finally, we Texan fans no longer have to hang our heads in shame. EDIT - it's now week 10: We now have a 6-4 record and are fighting for 1st place in our division. A playoff berth is all but guaranteed and CJ is a lock for ROY. There are even wispers of MVP for Stroud. Quietly Will has been in the top 5 of pass rushers and finally his sacks are starting to come along with the defense which has finally started to step up and win games whenever the offense falters. The Texans have already surpassed even the most optimistic hopes and dreams we could have had for the season. When you think about it, this is only the first year this team has been together along with our rookie coaching staff, it is mind boggling what they have achieved! ps. there is this other late draft pick, a rookie wr by the name of Tank Dell. I doubt he'll be any good though. The odds of hitting the jackpot on a 3rd player in this draft are so astronomically low that I doubt he'll be any good at all this year.😂😂😂😊😊😊 2:13
