Send me your snow! We had a few wet flaked on Monday mixed into the torrential rain, but we haven't had proper snow for ages. That's what I miss about Northumberland. 😊
There was a lady who did screen printing on my degree and she used to turn photos into screen prints, and I could never figure out how.
You can gladly have all of our snow... As for photos as screen prints...that sounds interesting?

Ooooo wow! Lol, I used to do silkscreen printing, went to school for it! I loved it. Was on clothing, so I guess couldn't be much different on paper, or a canvas. Pretty cool! In professional use the frame is clean with get water to get out all the water so the frame can be totally paint free!

I’m with you on not wanting to wash stuff. That’s why I love watercolor, so easy to clean up :)
I did take printmaking in college and I never used that technique you used in your first attempt. The trouble with putting the stencils on the top using the squeegee will take the stencil off with repeated passes. The masking fluid is for blocking out negative space printing. I have a print that uses most every technique use in screen printing. Tooch glue, negative and positive stencils with transparent and opaque paints. I enjoyed watching you learn kinestheticly! A fancy word for by trial and error! I wish the best of luck to the person luck to get these supplies!

Just a note to anyone trying this, you can get a special cleaner to clean out the screen better. It if fun but it definitely takes room to store it.(I have even a bigger screen).

That's an amazing box girl!!!! You can print in t-shirts!? And all kinds of places!? It's a for ever use thing!!!! Becarful with black if they gave you bc it can leave ghosts on the frame and be a pain in the ass! Is the paint good for this surfaces as I sad????

Just a question, do you ship internationally from the stash shop, I couldn't find any info... I'm in Canada and was just wondering in case I see something I like...
I do indeed, I ship worldwide, and I have a few regular customers in Canada. I try to keep shipping low by posting economy, but can post tracked for higher-value items.
I don't understand the point of this. You paint on the screen and then squish it through on the paper. Isn't it easier to paint directly on the paper? 🤔

I subscribe to Artful and when I saw what was to be in this box I was going to stop my subscription 🙃 and then when I saw you could swap for a previous box I got the lino cut box. It was out in a month before I started subscribing and my daughter had said she fancied it. I remember screen printing at school and watching you play with this box brought back everything I didn't like about it. It was a lucky escape for me switching the box. Fingers crossed for a better box next time.
