Most of them are like Black Beard. Black Beard is a pure example what other pirates really are.
Even Roger wasn't some pure soul. As a King of Pirates he was romanticized/idealized .A version of him that emphasizes his romantic, dramatic, or heroic aspects while downplaying everything else. And that's the version Luffy knows. Of some adventurer.
Marines and what they stand for isn't bad, the problem is Gorosei and most of Celestial Dragons ( we know one that is good). They corrupt it's idea and purpose and let people that shouldn't be there and climb the ranks.

I love how accurate all the details are like the kids not knowing how there’s no black and white with marines and pirates, how both sides have good and bad people. I think the attention to detail with how vague luffy is and the way iida reacts is so on point 😭🙏
Things that I love of your reaction
1. Luffy character, you know how to make him his usual dumb but strangely insightful self in this video.
2. Luffy friendship with Mina, it makes sense, super friendly and outgoing both of them, He probably finds Mina fun and nice.
3. That little interaction with Aizawa in the ASL part when Aizawa noticed Luffy disassociate and just a silent interaction as to not put Luffy on the spot.
I bet Luffy likes Aizawa, he probably finds him interesting and reliable, something like "Oh, scarf man, you have a scary face but you are actulaly really nice!!"
4.The whole, not everything is black and white Iida.
I personally think Luffy is friendly with everyone, but he lowkey doesn't get along the "good boys" Iida and Izuku (Don't come at me, I love Izuku and Iida)
Luffy would've been very annoyed with whiny and annoying good boyscouts like Izuku and Iida, We've seen that with Coby and Momo

In my opinion on Iida definitely and maybe on Izuku since it doesn’t have to be in the whole Hero Killing thing
If Luffy saw Izuku fighting or performing his strength while his body being shattered
Luffy will change his mind on Izuku and respect his determination on becoming a hero
But then again he would be very annoyed on his mumbling

@@iamperson1277 I can see that, he would respect them but still find them annoying, even more the whole analysis thing, because Luffy is more of a natural fighter, he just follows his instincts in battle and Izu needs to think a lot. I imagine the disaster of them being paired together for a hero exercise, would be like the whole Law and Luffy alliance but worse because of Izu anxiety.

Like Roger’s reaction to the newspaper article about him, he laughed because they got his name wrong and those “titles” used for him. Along with Alabasta where we know that the Strawhats saved Alabasta from a Warlord. Someone who was allied with the government. However! Smoker was going with his own sense of justice to say that the Strawhats fought their butts off and they should take the credit. The thing is, yes, there are pirates that are like Blackbeard but there are some like Luffy and Roger who want to be free or whatever they want to do at sea. The issue is the fact that the marines put out this black and white narrative where they are the heroes while having people like DoFlamingo in power, buster calling islands or even slavery. Hell, even killing Ace just because of his blood. They have more good and bad actions rather than good and bad people. Idk if my explanation makes sense..

I just love how they interact with each other, not just looking at the screen and say something, sometimes changing emotion, but also looking at each other, change eyebrow position, mouth and even pupils in the eyes.

I love how on-point the reactions are to their characters, my favourite part was when they watched that edit talking about morality. Iida needed to watch that because it shows that there is NO specific line between good and evil; there will always be a grey area. No offence to him, but he was born into a privileged family and ONLY saw the hero side and was taught that villains are all bad, thus making him believe that Luffy is bad because being a pirate fits into the category of a villain. He may be aware of previous wars that happened before their time but believes that people have changed. But they haven't completely changed. Humans evolve and grow, but there will always be a downside. And the line "Whoever wins the war becomes justice" can be applied even in our world. Whoever is in power right now enforces the rules, they have the power to decide how things will go. Corrupt or not, there is no denying that THEY have the power, and that's what's frustrating and tragic now

Children will be ostracized and bullied if their parent were a villain or a former villain, or like Shinso if they have any characteristics deemed as "villainous", they're automatically a soon-to-be villain. The clash of an extremely black and white world meets a world with nothing but gray is always so interesting and fun! Especially with MHA and One Piece since, well, how do you define heros and villans when the idea of such things are fundamentally non-existent in aother world? There's a reason why Oda never tells us that Luffy is a good guy, or the Marins are evil, because it just isn't true! You can't measure complicated beings like humans with such simple values, it will only lead to ignorance and, well, injustice! Which this reaction did a wonderful job portraying the clash between values of justice and ideologies! Not to mention how detailed the drawings and the reactions are! Been watching since the Horrortale series and you really have improved so much holy moly

Oh my goshs their reaction, the little nonverbal conversation between Aizawa who doesn’t want to out Luffy and luffy. How Aizawa asks for a break after noticing Luffy’s reaction. The little interaction between characters like Kaminari and Kirishima along with how well you portray each character makes this so incredible plus the animatic at the beginning is chef’s kiss.
